What an amazing way to see, enjoy and learn historical facts of DC. We only had a short time in DC as we can to town for a wedding and so not much time to do sight seeing and wow did we hit the jackpot with booking this company and even luckier that our tour guide was the owner Gondal. From the pristine luxury SUV, to the dual monitors for his info slide show as you approach each landmark to just the most enjoyable conversation. The topping of the tour was he so generous to take pictures on his new iPhone with an extra light on a tripod which captured some of the BEST PICTURES and with our whole family in them!!!! This was a priceless addiction to the tour that was totally unexpected!!! Promise you will not be disappointed. This PRIVATE TOUR was only a little more than if the 3 of us hopped on a bus with dozens of others and not sure we would haven seen as much as we did! Thank you Gondal, I will most certainly be telling anyone I know coming to DC to book with you!!! Attached are a few of the photos Gondal took of our family and the others I took on our tour.

For my daughter's 10th birthday, we booked a private tour of DC. Bruce was our tour guide and he was GREAT! Very pleasant to speak to and was very knowledgeable about US history and the sites. Bruce was able to get us very close to the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, MLK, FDR, USMC Memorial, Capitol, White House, Thomas Jefferson Memorial and a few other sites, all within our 4 hour tour.

It was our first time to Washington DC and with the help of Gondal our tour guide it was fantastic. Love how personalized the tour was for us. Due to storm Jonas coming down Gondal was more than accommodating. Gondal was the ONLY DC tour that allowed us to do EXACTLY what we wanted. Stop where we wanted, stay for as long as we wanted. Nothing was eliminated and all request were honored. He had a great power point presentation that was very informative. We had a party of 4. We were all thrilled. You will NOT be disappointed! It was my sons 18th birthday - he will never forget it - truly special - best gift ever! Treat yourself - well worth it!

Leave it to us to pick the One day in January 2018 when the government was closed! That did not stop us from having a wonderful six hour tour with Gondal!. He picked us up (five of us friends) in national harbor and gave us a wonderful six hour tour of Washington DC. He was very knowledgeable super friendly and we had a great time. We saw way more than we would have on our own. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND GONDAL!

I am so happy we did the tour with Gondal. We had seen a few sights earlier in the day but taking the tour at night was truly spectacular. His car is big, clean and comfortable. He was punctual and polite. What we enjoyed was how he taught us so much about the sights we were seeing- he had interesting PowerPoints to help us understand. He took wonderful family pictures of us which we would not have been able to get otherwise. We also took a full day tour with him the next day which was equally wonderful. I highly recommend a tour with this company. If I ever come back to DC, I would definitely take another tour with him.

    Nice place to visit

We are local to the area and love history, spooky stories and corny jokes so for us this is a fun date :-). The tour began at the Old Stone House where we were checked in and divided into two groups of about 18 people each. Everyone in our group was from out of town except us and our amazing tour guide Sonia. She effortlessly led us from site to site while allowing time for questions and photos. She also made sure our group stayed together and safely crossed the streets. I was concerned that it would be hard to hear given the traffic and Saturday night usual cacophony that is Georgetown but that generally wasn't a problem. We didn't see any ghosts - DRAT! But we did have fun and learn some history along the way. We would recommend this tour company and this particular tour.

We were fortunate to have company co-owner Bo as our guide, He took us on an enthusiastic, informative, efficient four-hour tour of the highlights of the American History, Natural History, and Air & Space museum along with a stop at the Smithsonian Sculpture Garden. Bo's personable nature, passionate knowledge of all things Smithsonian plus Washington DC overall made the experience truly exceptional. The customer service provided by DC Insider Tours during my rescheduling throughout the pandemic was also incredible . We also appreciated the detailed day-of-your instructions, including a texted photo of the tour guide we were looking for. I highly recommend DC Insider Tours for any tour in the Washington DC area, you will NOT be disappointed!

Since I live in northern Virginia, I have been able to take many tours of Arlington Cemetery by many companies, but this tour was completely unique. Brenda, our tour guide, did an amazing job of explaining the deep connection of Arlington Cemetery to World War I, the birth of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, why the Tomb is guarded, 24-7, General Robert Pershing, and it was all fantastic, but she also showed us the Gravesite of James Reese Europe, the African American pre-Jazz great who fought for and was injured with the Fighting 369th, nicknamed the Harlem Hellcats. Possible the most amazing story was that of fellow Fighting 369th member Henry Johnson who single handedly took on 20 German Fighters and won, saving the life of his partner who had been injured. I highly recommend this tour, even if you have already gone on tours of Arlington Cemetery. It will show you a side of our military history that most tours miss!

While he was nice, he didn't have a lot to add off the track I pretty sure he had memorized. I actually feel like I heard most about which monuments had the best restrooms than much of anything else (we never asked about bathroom situations). Would I book this again, no. Here is what I learned, you still walk a fair amount into these monuments from where they drop you in the golf cart vs. the people who are on the bikes and scooters. If you're really looking for the least amount of walking and able to operate those that would save you time and money. Dropped us at Gallery Place and took the red line two stops to Union Station and the museum was right next door!
