Not the worse but when you have the day off and would like to get your nails done early you can't help but worry about parking time or spending extra on parking when you have to pay for service on top. What a hiddem gem! This isn't your run of the mill Vietnamese nail place. My mother and I booked appointments for a pedicure ($30) and manicure ($15) in late September and weren't disapointed. After living in and visiting major cities, I expect quality nail jobs at a reasonable price. Options are limited in Ottawa - either you overpay at a spa, or you get a disapointing outcome for $20 on Somerset St. I can't say enough good things about Zoey's. Jennifer and Anna are exceptional staff and make you feel welcome. They clipped, buffed, massaged and polished our nails to perfection. The place is nicely decorated and comfortable for relaxing - you can tell they really care about their customers and their business. You won't find better. read more

This was the most expensive and WORST set of acrylic nails I have ever gotten! I've been getting acrylic nails done for years and I've never had as ugly a set done they'd were So thick. She got got the shape wrong and so she had to cut them really short to rectify it. She also was SO rough, getting your nails done should NOT be painful this was. I went to this nail place while visiting Ottawa and found good reviews on Yelp. I called and made an appointment for the same day - within 15 minutes from the time I called - so it was easy to get in. When I arrived I was the only person in the spa, but there were four technicians playing cards at a manicure table. The youngest one gave me a spa pedicure, and she didn't talk much and was shy mainly because her English wasn't that great - but the owner or manager was very interested in me - asking all kinds of questions and starting conversation. She was very friendly. The massage chairs were AMAZING, and the service was relaxing, but the technician ended up clipping the skin on my smallest toe pretty badly! It hurt to wear shoes and walk for a week! It made me pretty upset. Plus, the paint job didn't last that long. I don't think I could recommend this place because of those two things. Also note, this place is very small with only two pedicure chairs and two manicure tables - so it would be hard to have a bridal party or something similar here. read more

While the price was good and they were able to see me without an appointment, I don't think I'll go back. The woman was on her phone for a majority of the appointment & was very rough while removing the gel nails. As well she cut my nails all jagged when "fixing them" afterwards. Never will go back! I have given this place many chances. I even had my nails done for my wedding at Zoeys. But if you don't get two particular nail estheticians than your screwed. Yesterday I wasn't able to make an appointment so they fit me in after I waited around for an hour. I never had this particular esthetician yet. There are many wrong things that happened but the main issues were the fact that she scrapped up my skin while filing my nails. My thumb and two other nails had cuts that when I even applied water after they burned. She cut my skin around my nails to a point that now I have tender pains in a few of my fingers. I even said "OW" a few times just out of sheer pain. I wanted to get up mid session to leave but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. She was so unprofessional and my nails would look better if I did them myself. I understand it's cheap but your better off going to third Ave spa for the same price. No attention to customer care- my fingers/nails actually hurt. Bumps in nails polish. Not worth the cheaper price tag. read more

Do Not go here for Bio Gel nails. I had them done recently and they switched to cheaper bio gel. it is disolvable with nail polish, currently 4 out of 5 nails on my right hand have chipped and broken so far down that my nail is exposed. they are too thin and bend which leaves black cracks. they look horrible and i regret going here. read more

Very mixed feelings. Nails came out pretty well and the price was pretty standard. BUT the place was not very good. Didn't seem to be too clean, uncleaned towels and iffy tools. Plus the lady's son was there and kept touching and playing with all the tools all the while yelling about how long it was taking and throwing things around. Was getting fake nails and he kept picking the nails up out of the containers and putting them back in after playing with them,which seemed weird. Nobody told him to stop or anything. While the one lady was doing my nails two others were sitting around eating in the pedicure chairs and napping! always on their phones. Someone else came in while I was being helped and neither of the other two even got up to greet her. She was also very very rough and often hurt my hands in the application of the nails. I have been going to Zoey Nails for years and I would never switch. Jenny is my go to nail girl. She is on top of the new nail trends and she takes a true interest in what I am up too in life. I am really bad at chewing and picking my nails (bad habit I know). Often I need Jenny to fix my nails after I picked off the polish or chewed the tip off. She has always been able to squeeze me in for my repair and never charges me. That is extraordinary service. read more

My girlfriends and I were looking for a quick manicure to break up the long workday when we stumbled upon great reviews for Zoey Nails. We gave it a shot and I must say, I'm impressed. I was in and out in under 45 minutes with a beautiful shellac manicure to boot. If I could give this place a zero I would. Went in for a shellac on a Friday. Started peeling in less than 24 hours, which happens. I called them and they offered to "fix" it. When I went back, they insisted on using the same colour. Told me that if it peels again, they would be open to changing colours without charge. The woman did not remove the first shellac job. She did a quick file and painted over with the same colour. Something wasn't right from the minute I put my hands in the machine. It burned so much that I screamed and pulled my hands out. The women working told me it was normal, but it wasn't. I had pain in my fingertips and could not feel the tip of my fingers for 3 days. It was so bad I had to consult a Dr. Further, the polish looked like garbage. Every nail was cracked, but I was too affraid to go back. Less than two weeks later, I went to another salon to have the colour removed. We soaked the nails for over 20 minutes. The polish would not come off. They had to file the polish off with a polisher. My nail beds are destroyed. I don't know what they put on me, but any company that does not stand by its services, and refuses to issue a refund when they F#@K up is UNACCEPTABLE. I would not recommend this place to anyone, ever. Also, food for thought, has anyone going to this salon ever seen any of the staff wash their hands and/or bring out sterile equipment? read more
