I really like Hannah - she knows exactly what I'm after and how to get the perfect shape. I would highly recommend going here. It's a great little spa in the heart of Carp with a hair salon too!

Until now, I was reasonably satisfied, but after today, I will not likely be back. Attendants were brisk and rushed, despite the fact that I had booked an appointment days in advance and I arrived well ahead of my appointment time. My toenails were not shaped at all, and the nail polish was thick and should have been thrown out. There are many shops out there that are more conscientious and that charge less. I could not recommend Vannes based on today's experience.

The receptionist…read morewas friendly and easy to book with since I didn't see any immediate availability on their online booking system. The spa has a very welcoming vibe to it once you walk in and it was nicely decorated inside and out for Christmas. It was also noticeably clean, which I immediately look at before receiving a spa treatment. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and our coats were taken from us to be hung up. We were then asked if we wanted any coffee or tea while we received our spa service. The coffee was good and nice to sip on to warm up. Melanie did my pedicure and Megan did my Mom's. They were both masked, professional and friendly. They made sure my Mom and I were both comfortable during the entire time. We sat in massage chairs that were so relaxing. There were plenty of nail polish colour options to choose from and we both chose festive Christmas colours. Overall, our pedicure experience was very relaxing and pleasant. I would definitely come back here with my Mom for a pedicure with Melanie and Megan. We would like to try getting manicures in the future with them. The spa is located in the heart of Manotick village, so it's very close to cute shops and cafes. Great location and would highly recommend!

After having a brain tumor a year ago this was my first time back at a hair salon. I asked…read moreMicheline for blonde highlights and a natural fade at the top so the growth back wouldn't be as visible. Left with a darker shade. Stylist didn't bother to set a timer and the toner ended up darkening my hair to the point where the highlights weren't even visible. Don't recommend this stylist she was rough and unprofessional. Hair is fried and not an inch of blonde is visible.

I paid $400 plus tax for ombré brows…read morebut I don't have a car and I was going to school so I ended up missing my touch up appointment and now she refused to either give me a refund or continue the brow job she started because now it is no longer visible. Also it went way off from my natural brow where it looked like I used a "cheap pencil" to shade it. For that much $ you'd think she would have some loyalty to her customers. Her work is over priced and it's too hard to get to in alymer/Gatineau without a car. And Uber doesn't go back to Ottawa. So take account for Uber and taxi fees when you book also.

I came here for my very first Brazilian wax, encouraged with the purchase of a Groupon. I mention…read morethe Groupon, because usually when I use a Groupon for a service businesses have select appointment windows and it can sometimes be difficult to get a convenient time-slot--Sophia Esthetic was a pleasant exception. Their receptionist was friendly and super accommodating with the schedule. The spa itself isn't the easiest to get to because it's up a flight of stairs and down a hallway--there are other similar businesses in the same building so it's not sketchy or anything. The location itself is convenient though, just at the corner of MacLaren and Elgin. Once I figured out where the spa was I was impressed--it was warm and comfortable, there's a waterfall in the waiting room and calming music playing to create a nice relaxing ambiance. I saw Brittany and she was awesome. She was friendly and she made me feel comfortable and did a good job answering my questions. The room was clean, well-kept and prepared freshly before I went in. The whole experience was quick, clean, and not overly painful.

I requested soft natural looking lashes and I left with heavy, thick, super long lashes that were much too heavy and thick for my natural lashes so they turned in on themselves. I looked like a clown. I had to trim the lashes so that I could wear my glasses. The glue she used was also very strong and irritating. My eyes hurt for weeks. Although the technician showed me a photo of lovely wispy lashes this is not what she delivered. My natural lashes are now short and broken. Avoid this place.

I was hesitant to try somewhere new after having gone to the same place for years, but came initially as part of a girl date with one of my friends. The salon is very bright and clean. I love pink, so they earn brownie points with me for the rose gold, white, and pink decor. Their staff is really personable and friendly. It's really my favourite part of the experience! Bella was amazing and really listened and "gets" what I'm asking for. I'm picky and indecisive, so that really says a lot and is important to me when it comes to nails or any beautification. I also really love that they have so many colour options and offer cool ideas that I wouldn't necessarily think of on my own. After my initial visit, I learned chrome doesn't work well for me- I think my nails are maybe too oily or my cuticles just didn't like it. Bella went above and beyond to find a solution, and really cared about me being happy with her work. I can't even say how valuable that is in this kind of industry- as a consumer it's certainly rare to find people who take so much pride in their work. It's a nice central location, in Sparks street. For convenience I just parked at the World Exchange Plaza (free on weekends!) but there is also street parking available if you know where to look. I would totally recommend this spot to a friend, I'm considering coming back to try the lash extensions or microblading, I love that it's all in one spot!
