She scraped the old shellac with so much force it was painful and she also ripped off half a nail, which is now damaged and sore. She also cut two of my cuticles, one of which is still very painful and red. Her shellac application was pretty messy and she filed my nails at odd angles. I regret leaving a tip because I feel like I rewarded her. I would avoid this place, or at least make sure you don't book with Mary.

It was also noticeably clean, which I immediately look at before receiving a spa treatment. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and our coats were taken from us to be hung up. We were then asked if we wanted any coffee or tea while we received our spa service. The coffee was good and nice to sip on to warm up. Melanie did my pedicure and Megan did my Mom's. They were both masked, professional and friendly. They made sure my Mom and I were both comfortable during the entire time. We sat in massage chairs that were so relaxing. There were plenty of nail polish colour options to choose from and we both chose festive Christmas colours. Overall, our pedicure experience was very relaxing and pleasant. I just got the HD Brows service done and it was done terribly, the wax ripped some of my skin off…read moreand has begun to scab, the tint was applied carelessly and has stained around my brows, and worst of all shaping was done without a even a quick consultation with me. I was never asked what I liked or consulted about anything, she just went for it. And also, they never even trimmed my eyebrows at all, just waxed and plucked, I don't even think she remembered she just wanted to be done with me as quickly as possible. I don't know what I paid such a hefty price tag for ($45!!), when I am going to have to fix everything when I go home anyways. Edit: No I am not taking any oral or topical medications, I've done the same service before and I have never completely scabbed over like this. My other eyebrow (while not done well regarding shaping) has only a small scab but is otherwise not torn like the one I've shown in the picture. I truly believe that they do not properly train on how to do and wax eyebrows, the woman who did mine perhaps didn't use wax which was hot enough (the other brow that wasn't hurt was done last by which time the wax may have been better) or pulled at the wrong angle. I spoke to the woman who did them and immediately she turned the situation so that I would feel like I may have done something wrong, asking about medications and then finally saying I must be more sensitive and that I should just use some polysporin and it will be okay. It's been 2 full days since she touched my brows and the scab is not only still there, it's even darker. I can't even cover it with makeup because the texture shows through and I wouldn't even do that because I don't want to irritate the wound further. I've just been nursing my scab for the past few days instead of "enjoying" what my 45$ bought me. It's just not worth it. If they had even apologized or offered me something to compensate for the injury then I wouldn't say this, but that's just not something Caryl Baker would ever do, so please, believe me when I tell you that in this place, other that the one or two people that have offered any service for me, EVERYONE else is incompetent, rude, and will charge you wayyy above the quality of work they provide. I have been going to this location for 2 and a half years now and this is the final straw I needed to make me realize that this place is garbage. I urge you to find somewhere else to take your business before you regret it like I do now.

I waited 10 minutes to see someone, not too bad. While I was waiting the station I was at had a bunch of leftover wax (with hair on it) still all over the counter. Kind of gross. When the lady doing my eyebrows got to me she apologized profusely. This didn't bother me. She told me she does her eyebrows a little thicker and offered to do mine to my natural shape, not too thin like most places do. I like mine a little tiny bit thin sometimes but I decided to let her go with it. As soon as she started back I remembered why I didn't come here again. They have a membership card and they are SOOO pushy about it. She talked about it the entire time and I really tried hard not to show any interest. When she was finished she said "so just the brow wax along with the membership?" After I explained I really didn't want it she kind of seemed irritated by this. Despite the big tip I gave her. I think mine came to $21, tip included. My eyebrows do really look good. She did a great job shaping them. But holy crap I can't listen to them talk about their membership the entire interaction, and they're sooo pushy! I'd likely come back here in a pinch but I'd make it very obvious I have 0 desire to get a membership.
