The scheduling however is quite messy and I waited over an hour with an appointment this week which is insane. I stopped by Zode Nail Bar because I was interested in booking a manicure and pedicure and wanted to ask a few questions about their services and pricing. Unfortunately, the front desk employee was extremely rude and dismissive. I clearly stated that I had questions, but he repeatedly ignored me and assisted people who walked in after I did without even acknowledging me. When he finally spoke to me, I asked about the cost of their manicure and pedicure services, and he seemed visibly irritated that I was asking. His attitude made me feel unwelcome and as though I was inconveniencing him simply by requesting basic information. I had been excited to book an appointment, but customer service is extremely important. How potential clients are treated when they first walk through the door says a lot about a business. Techs are nice but majority sub par and concierge / reception not good with time management. They'll tell you to come in and left waiting literally 45 minutes after original reservation time. Was told an appt is just to 'get you on the books' not not an actual time, and when asked for ETA of when tech actually available, none could be provided. Pedicure was quick but somehow my $47 pedicure ended up being over $100 after paying for gel polish ($15) PLUS "cat's eye" polish (a kind of gel polish, but still an additional upcharge of $15!), gel removal, and 20% tip. I also asked about the 10% first-time-customer discount mentioned in other reviews and the person at the front desk said I had to provide the "code", which I didn't have. It would have been nice if he'd just said, "Sure!". Salon felt like a nail factory rather than a relaxing spa experience. This was my first time here and received a shellac manicure and pedicure. The place was very clean, loved that every employee coming out to give service had sterilized equipment and received a meticulous service. I loved the atmosphere and everyone was professional and friendly. The downside was the service was over priced and it would be nice to know the charges up front, I was charged to remove polish, $15 per nail design, $20 extra for paraffin wax on my hands, lots of extra charges. Also, the person at the front desk did not mention that I could've received a 10% discount for being there for the first time. read more

Today they added a $10 charge, unannounced bc they had to change my polish color bc the technician gave me the wrong color the first time. They're just overall dishonest and overpriced. The good: Cute interior, seems new and fresh. Staff was nice. Called ahead to make an appointment for day of. They were willing to answer my questions and help me find the right length and polish to recreate the inspo photo I brought in. The not so good: I asked for gel-x with white chrome. The outcome photo/video speaks for itself. Application of gelx nails was good but the polish is not up to standard. Once I got outside in the natural light it was clear the chrome was not applied evenly. Making it look streaky and splotchy. 4 out of 10 nails have lumps as well. Chrome near the cuticle is great, but gets patchy as it reaches the tip. They have a complimentary beverage menu. I selected something from the specialty items which includes fruit teas and viet coffee. They told me to pick from the regular menu, bubbly water, hot tea, etc. They had a new management special of 20% off that I wanted to take advantage of, my total was $90 after discount and tip. Went to try a new salon, started of great but left dissapointed. Overall not worth price when other salons are charging the same. read more

I like this salon and love the people that work there. I already broke one of my very short dip nails in less than 15 hours. I don't feel like I got the third coat of dip I should have received and nails were too thin hence the crack. What bothers me is I am charged $7 dollars to fix this nail after the $70 I just paid and it should last me two to three weeks. And now not in town to have it fixed. Owner needs to own up! My nails always look nice, but rush job to get too many people in is not working. My appointment was at 1:15 and I walked out around 3pm for a nail dip. I waited 45 minutes for my appointment. I love the employees there, but the owner needs to know, don't overwork them for profit. If someone schedules an appointment respect that time! Please don't take walk ins and make us wait! I wouldn't go back. They use the cheese grater for callous removal which is illegal. They don't have many color selections. Every selection the manicurist came back saying they didn't have it. They have a promo if you spend 99+ on a pedicure you get 30% NAILS service. They mean manicure so they have shady advertising to reel you into their salon. They try to rush through the service and slow down if you look like the type to keep track of time. They actually don't spend the full time on your feet. They leave you alone half the time to go who knows where. You book your appt with them and they don't still don't know what you want and you have to reiterate what service you want to the manicurists because they don't communicate with their employees. We still waited even though we had an appt. Pretty salon not great service not worth the price and they up charge you without specifying the price beforehand so you get hit with a higher bill when paying. read more

I was a customer here for many years when it was Levue Nails. However when they got a new owner my nails came out super chunky, not the shape I specified multiple times, and even gave me a fingernail fungus which I've never had before. They must not sterilize their tools and I highly do not recommend going here, there's many better spots in Kirkland. read more
