Didn't know what to get for an early dinner, so I pulled up google maps and searched the area. Came across this pizza spot. First time at this place. Since I hadn't been here before, I asked the gentleman at the counter how the ordering process was, and then he was happy to explain it to me. This was around 430ish. I ended up getting a Greek salad and 8 inch pepperoni pizza. It's kind of an order first, and then you can pick where you want to sit kind of place. Very open seating area with an abundance of tvs for peoples veiwing pleasure. The Greek salad was great. Had lots of flavor and onions which I like. The pizza was great. Lots of flavor and many cheese pulls. That's even without me asking for extra cheese, which I could only imagine how that would've tasted. We ordered 2 medium pizzas and it tasted like they used fake cheese because it was really stringy and had no taste. Ordered from here last week and the order was supposed to be done in an hour so I showed up in an hour and still had to wait 20 minutes longer for my order. I ordered 2 pizzas again today but this time for delivery. I placed my order at 430pm....it's 641pm and it's still not here. When I called to inquire I was placed on hold for 20 minutes only to be blamed for the delay. I was told when making an online order I should also call to follow up. They said that my pizza is just now on its way and should be here in another 15 minutes. Dinner is ruined to say the least. The pizza arrived at 655pm, the pizza boxes were not even warm. The pizza was cold and hard, inedible. They brought me the pizza they probably made at 430 when I placed the order. They gave me a refund. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to be this inconsiderate. I've been coming to this specific Zito's most my life. I've been to all of them. Love the sauce, toppings and overall vibe of the inside. Probably because it reminds me of my childhood coming and playing the arcade games. One comment if the owner reads this - take a look at your online order platform it allows for 1/2 & 1/2 options that the employees said they can't fulfill. They were excellent at providing something they could fulfill but nevertheless it's not what I REALLY wanted to order but couldn't have due to it not being an option - you should remove those options. read more

Wow! Today was unexpected. I have been coming here since this was THE only Zitos. It still is my favorite pizza. Today I order a large pizza and large dinner salad to be picked up by my nephew. Called to place the order and they would not let me pay with credit card by phone! I am in their system because he found my name. So I had to drive here to pick it up. ( my nephew lives 3 minutes away) So I got here in 15. Person on phone quoted 30. And change. I get here. It's 34.80. I asked for a couple extra Ranch and they charged me for 4. Do not go or order from this Zito's location. I ordered 7 large pizzas for delivery 2 weeks early. THEY FORGOT MY ORDER with the excuse that the computers went down. I had spoken to 3 people regarding my order a week before, a day before, and the day of. I did get a call from DJ at 6pm saying that they were running late and was delivery at 7pm ok (was supposed to be 6:30). I said sure, as long as it wasn't later that that. At 7:30 I called asking why they were late delivering. ZITOS HAD NOT EVEN STARTED ON MY ORDER!! I had to go pick up my pizzas AT 8 PM after they forgot my order 3 HOURS late. I had 25 guests that were starving by then. NO DISCOUNT, just a feeble "sorry" from the manager Johnathan. I ordered early and for delivery so I wouldn't be stressed out on the day of my Son's engagement party. This was so much worse. I would have been better off cooking for everyone, as I had to run around trying to find appetizers to feed them while we waited for the pizzas to come. Always love their pizza. We regularly order from here and am always delighted with their pizza. Our favorite is the Italian Sausage with Mushroom to fit our taste. For personal health reasons, we have to be strict about the current health guidelines and wanted to place an order for delivery. Wow. We're just 2.6 miles away from them right here in Orange and we are outside of their delivery zone. Sad. Still, we want to support an OC local Business and not go with the National Chain where that is not the case. Surprising, don't you think? We were stunned. The other location on Glassel which serves the CU community which would naturally be busier, it takes an hour for that location simply to answer the phone. I don't even know where to begin, tonight as a family we went to this location as it's right around the corner from my in-laws. We've come here MANY times in the past. But tonight was awful. We ordered two pizzas, garlic knots and a liter of coke. I'm not sure why, but the garlic knots always seem to come out after the pizza does. Which was no different tonight. Our pizzas were pathetic. We typically get the same thing every time. Meatball and onion and the a bbq chicken pizza. The meatball had huge chunks of meat that wasn't cut up at all like it normally is. The bbq chicken was more like bbq soup on top of crust. So much bbq sauce it was horrid and didn't have onions or the cilantro it usually does. I love Zitos Pizza and have been coming to Zitos for over 17 yrs. I went again in the past few months, and the pizza tastes so different here now. The cheese is totally different. It did not taste like the original recipe. The crust does not have the same fluff. Ordered an extra large, and I could only eat 1 slice as the inside did not taste properly cooked either. It was very doughy. The bottom was cooked well, though. The garlic knots were cooked to perfection. I hope they fix the pizza recipe and baking inconsistencies cause I feel like I wasted my money again, and I have a tight budget, so I am hesitant to give it another try. So we place our order of hot wings and pizza. They bring our pizza but no hot wings. Just as we are about to go up and find out where our hot wings are we were approached by this big guy with a ponytail, who informed us that they were out of hot wings, but they just got some in and for making us wait he would bring us some cinnamon knots(soooo good), while they made the hot wings. We waited for about 15 mins, and was once agained approched by the big guy with the ponytail, who told us that they were out out of hot wings. We stopped at Zito's Pizza on a whim while on a trip to a nearby waterpark, because my granddaughter was getting car sick and needed to eat. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was bang'n. The garlic bread was off the hook good, buttery, soft chewy inside and crusty outside, delicious. Anti pastor salad chopped and yummy Italian dressing. The medium Zito's special combo pizza was old school pizza heaven with crumbled Italian sausage, bacon and more! We've been going to various Zito's locations for years, but we haven't been to this one in a few years. After tonight's, visit, we probably won't be back. Which is a shame because we always had great experiences at this location. I was standing at the counter for a while before I was able to place our order, with no other customers ahead of me. Our cashier that helped us was chewing gum while prepping orders, talking to customers and when taking my order. Kinda gross for a restaurant. We ordered a large pepperoni with half pineapple and the other half jalapeño, it took a bit for the cashier to be able to enter it into the system and he had to cancel it a few times. Our pizza took 45 minutes, then our wings (one of the appetizers), took another 10 minutes then our second appetizer still hadn't come so I asked to cancel it because we had already finished eating our meal before appetizers arrived. When our pizza came out we asked the server for plates, as he was walking away from our table, not facing us, he pointed and said "they should be over there" and just kept walking. Before leaving I got a to go box, an employee saw a customer coming up and in a very unenthusiastic way said "how can I help you?" The customer asked to speak with a manager, again in a very unenthusiastic way, the employee said "I am the manager. What can I help you with?" The customer had been waiting for over an hour for her food and was complaining that she still hadn't received it. This was at least the fourth customer we heard express irritation with incomplete orders or orders taking forever. Employee/management response was indifferent and at times annoyed. The restaurant was very dirty as well, trash on the floor in various areas and multiple tables left a mess that were not cleaned up during our entire visit. It's been a while since I have visited Zitos. And OMG I remembered why I loved it so much. Today I got the ravioli and a side of alfredo sauce and it was Sooo good. I wanted to pace myself and eat a little bit at time but nope! I inhaled my food. It came with some garlic bread and that was the peefect touch ESP w my alfredo sauce. It was nice and creamy and delicious. Someone ordered the cinnamon knotts ans they were so fire. Lol good thing they weren't my order or else I would killed those too. Sigh my eyes want it all! Sadly after what must be 15 years, we have decided not to go to Zitos on Tustin again. During COvid we ordered take-out and often ate at the sidewalk tables to help them stay in business. The last 8 months we have tried it over and over again. The pizzas are over/baked to burnt; the garlic knots are over baked regardless of the request for light-baked; & the service has become indifferent to surly even though we always tip at ordering. Their hours of operation are not consistent & they often close early. We started to call to see if they are really open. So very disappointed, it was our "go to" for years. read more

--Went on Saturday 2/24/24 what a disappointment. --The 2 of us were the only ones in the whole restaurant, really. --We ordered 2 Italian subs, 2 drinks, $34.00. --Had the worst customer service. --Looked for a clean table and most of them were dirty. --We sat down waited for 35 minutes!!! Not one customer in the whole place. --As we sat there I said to my husband it stinks in here like old celery. --The place was very, very, unclean with a lot of dirt needs a good scrubbing. --The 2 staff in the place were having a good time just chatting away. The buffalo chicken pizza was just slapped together without care or presentation what-so-ever. If you read the Yelp reviews of this location in the last year you can see the decline in this restaurant. We ordered two pizzas and cinnamon knots, the knots never came. After asking the kid with the mullet twice nothing......eventually had to ask for my money back. This really created a problem for me and my timeline. They did not offer any type of discount initially and said they are sorry they have problems with the order ticketing process.... Not a rocket scientist, but if you know your "having issues" - maybe pay attention and check on it to make sure you don't Waste a client's time !!! Thats the problem with many of today's workers they are all apathetic and don't care about their own quality of work. Our country Used to be service driven - start taking back your business and do not go to places that lack service - the market can make this change. Service used to matter and should - Note when i picked up the pizza 14 minutes later they gave me 20% discount 6 bucks. Not Good. We were thinking of what to order on a Saturday night. Called in a order at 6:19 pm. I was told it would take 45 min - 1 hour. I said ok. Arrived at 7:14 paid for my order and was told it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. I did not leave until 7:55 pm !!!!! I was not alone with my order being late. 3 to 4 other customers were waiting 45+ minutes, and more. We understand being short handed due to covid. This was not the case in my opinion.
