I've lived in Austin since 1983, and I just found my new cleaners. Stephen and the entire team provide outstanding, friendly, and professional service in a "throw-back" neighborly way. I feel lucky I found them. Strongly recommend! Jm read more

They're pretty bad tbh. I appreciated the quick turnaround but they double creased my pants and pressed suit jackets with the spare buttons sewn in the lapel still, leaving awful starched wrinkle spots in multiple jackets that I now have to fix before I can wear which really defeats the purpose. They also left some really bad wrinkle marks in a dress shirt which is going to be very hard to fix with just the steamer I have. The service is convenient with the DoorDash pickup and delivery options and I suppose it works in a pinch if you don't care too much what it looks like but overall I'd probably try to find somewhere with a little more attention to detail. read more

I always love Zips!! Did my husband's jeans so that they look professionally done. Cause scorching them myself would be war! Lol. Love you guys for saving me from the sweat! read more

Really good customer service and fast service. Usually takes a few minutes to pick up and drop off.

Wow, they were fabulous. I don't know how they did it but they did a fantastic job. They will be my only cleaner and laundry, forever and ever and ever. read more

Everything was great and ready when I got there to pick it up. I will definitely use them again

Do not go here!!! I brought in a nice suit jacket made of synthetic material and they burned the jacket badly. Bright white burn marks with a smooth, melted feel. I brought the jacket back and the manager told me he would look at it and call me in a few days. I heard nothing so after over a week I followed up and I was told the owner, Brett V., was trying to "fix" it. After another week, I got a call that the owner couldn't fix it and he thinks it is just wear and tear. I was given Brett's number and I called him to follow up and see if they would compensate me for the damage. Brett was extremely combative and instead of attempting to remedy the issue, he decided to lecture on how he has "over 25 years of experience" and knows way more than me about dry cleaning. It was a terrible experience and my jacket is ruined. I've never picked up a suit from a dry cleaner in worse condition than when dropped off. These photos were actually sent to me by the manager to show me the damage. The prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for. read more

This was my first time using Zips dry cleaner. my transaction was very dropping off and picking up.

This was my first time using Zips cleaners and I was not disappointed at all. Took my items in, they said it would be ready after 5 the following day; at 2pm the next day I received a text saying my cleaning was ready. HOW BOUT THAT!! read more

The ironing of my dress shirts was poor. The "professional" dry cleaning service did not thoroughly clean two pants and have to be cleaned again. Unfortunately, this store refused to "mark" the stains requiring treatment to remove. read more

I dropped off two dresses yesterday that were dry clean only. This morning, I received a text that said the dresses were ready. I go and pick them up. Mind you, I've only worn these dresses one time, for an event about a month ago. One dress had cat hair on it, and smelled like it was not cleaned. I was then told that because they use organic products, it won't refresh or deodorize the garment. in all my 20+ years of using a dry cleaner, I have never encountered this issue or this type of answer. I asked to be refunded for the one dress that was clearly not cleaned. They told me the best they can do is try again. Im like why can't I get my money back? You do it wrong once, I don't need a repeat. Would not recommend, at all. I'm emailing the owner. read more

I've had continuous good service from ZIPS. The staff is courteous and acknowledges me each time I come in. My clothes are done correctly and now with the text message service I get a notification when they are ready. read more

Needed my garments one hour before the 5 PM deadline for cleaning. Upon initial arrival, one of the custodians told me that I would need to wait until 5 PM before being able to pick up my items. I was devastated, because I needed the garments in order to attend an event this evening. Then KIERA, one of the employees, told me that she would check the back room to see if there was any possibility that they were finished early. She did, and thankfully my garments were ready for pick up. If it was not for her, I would not have had my items for my event tonight. She went out of her wayto ensure my satisfaction as a customer. She deserves high praise. Great employee and incredibly kind and friendly. read more

I want to comment on the service I receive at the ZIPS on Maryland Ave in Washington DC. I want to compliment the staff on their courteous, professional and efficient service that I receive at this location. I have a background in customer service so therefore customer service is important to me. I realize that dealing with the public is not easy but I've never had anything but good experiences at this location. Again congratulations to the staff and keep up the GOOD WORK!! read more

I would like to personally apologize to this Zips location for my negative review 6 years ago. I was going through my closet yesterday and found the missing jacket that I accused Zips of losing! Therefore, I have changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars. read more

I normally love going to ZIPS. It's fast and useful when you need a quick dry clean, however I was very let down earlier this week. I have custom made shirts and they were stained by ZIPS. I had to attended a wedding and when picked up my shirts they were ruined. I was forced to buy a shirt of the rack in order to have something for the wedding the following day, because the cleaners can't return anything before 1pm. I really hope I can get a refund for shirt I had to buy. I had no choice because my custom made shirts were destroyed by this location. read more

Came here today for a small load for the first time and the customer service was piss poor to say the least. My interaction with the Customer Service man and the manager were so bad that I'm contacting corporate. The customer service man appeared incoherent as he asked for my number to enroll me then abruptly walked away. I'm pretty sure that he was high on something but of course the manager denied it. If you're like me and you live in the area, this place is unavoidable unfortunately. read more

I have never been treated so rudely by a staff member at any establishment I have ever been to as I was by JR today. I was scolded for walking up to the counter instead if waiting in line for a tailor that I did not need. I was insulted. I had a racial epithet said to me. I attempted to de-eacalate this unpleasantness and was told that I was the problem. I will never go here again and I suggest everyone else do the same until this employee is no longer working there. read more

I had my new "white "suit for church cleaned and pressed for our church's 144th Anniversary , upon picking it I noticed a blue smudge on the hem of the skirt and I asked could I have it fixed, she says with a attitude yeah but I have to wait until Monday, it's Saturday my program is Sunday . read more

I have used the ZIP on Connecticut Ave NW for many years and been largely happy with it. I assumed the experience would be similar at this location, but I could not have been more wrong. They changed their hours to close much earlier than advertised on their website and what they have painted in large print on their door, then yelled at me repeatedly when I walked in the wide open front door of the business at 3 minutes after their newly chosen closing time and flatly refused to return my clothing and comforter I have already paid them to clean. I guess I'll have to come back and try to recover my property again, but that will certainly be the last time. read more

The van ness store lost my clothes, fessed up a d promised to investigate, then claimed I had picked them up and would show me video: never did. Calling corporate was a waste of time. The store reached out through yelp but never contacted me or acknowledged my attempt to respond to the yelp. I'm giving the Hechinger Mall store a try. Definitely count your stuff before leaving. Keep or take pictures of all of your tickets. And don't let them consolidate many bundles on one ticket. Fingers crossed. The value and quick turnaround are hard to walk away from. But BE CAREFUL!! read more

I wish I could rate zero stars. They need to replace the whole crew. This is supposed to be a business. They can't get small things right like a no creases . Always a issue at this place . The price is the only reason I continued to go here and the manager was and tried to be accommodating. Sad situation for a community that's already and continues to be underserved. read more

Sad job on alterations-- I have used Zips in the past but at different locations but this time I tried a new one. I took in a really expensive comforter I gave because my new puppy used the bathroom on it a couple times. When i picked it up and took it home I found the smell of urine was still in the comforter. I called ZIPS to express concern and they claimed that the scent will remain in my item because their cleaner doesn't have a scent? They don't offer refunds and just offered to clean it again but that would be pointless if they don't remove smells. I have unscented detergent and my clothes don't smell the same after washing. I don't think they cleaned it at all and the sales rep was rude in about it. They are cheap for a reason avoid them. read more

Unfortunately, I have to give this location 1 star. The customer service and management are rude, and tend to tell customers wrong information regarding their pricing. Additionally, when attempting to pay for my dry cleaning, I was not advised of their $10 minimum until after my clothes had been taken. I was not permitted to simply pay $10 (even though that would be a gain for them at my loss). Not impressed and not sure if the low cost is worth the level of service. There is a cleaners a few doors down that may just get my businees inst read more

Unfortunately they don't abide by their posted hours. You should be able to pick up clothing until closing time as posted. Their employees mouthed through the locked door that they were closed. It was not closing time yet and they could have given us our clothes. Not a good way to do business ever but especially during Covid when everyone is struggling. Didn't ask for anything special just wanted you to stay open until the time that you were supposed to. Do better!!! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Went to pick up my clothes yesterday for an important event. Their power was out. While that was beyond their control, they did nothing to try to accommodate customers and just had an "oh well" attitude. read more

The fact that they pretty much dry clean any and everything for the less than $3 is unbelievable! If you drop off by 8am it will be ready the same day by 5pm. I have had many items cleaned and pressed here and they do a great job. No matter what time I come there is never a wait. The staff is pretty friendly and professional. The only complaint I have is that when I picked up my items last time, a staff member working in the back tagging items had his pants sagging so low you could see his underwear. Not exactly a good look for a place of business. read more

ZIPS Cleaners - The armpits of my Polo shirt and it still smells like it's been worn - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

This is my first time using them. I chose them based on cost alone. Dry cleaners in our area think that 6$ is acceptable to charge for shirts or pants. Me thinks not. So off to Zips I went. Other then being a little far from my house, they are nice and seem to have done a good job with everything. I am taking off one star since they misspelled my first AND last name after giving it them twice and even spelling it. read more

Fast efficient service. Note that you pay when you drop off your clothes. Generally less expensive per item than at other dry cleaners.

It's like they don't even attempt to clean your clothes anymore. Or they just press instead of cleaning. Often times clothes have come back still with stains. They were so much better when I first started going three years ago. I love the prices but the work has gone down. read more
