American Mega Laundromat has been a life and sanity saver for me…read more I've been using American Mega Laundromat for years, and they've consistently provided excellent service. Since becoming a single mom, their pickup and fold service has become an absolute game changer for me. I work full-time and juggle my toddler's busy schedule, so finding time for laundry can be tough -- but they make it effortless... not to mention my laundry feels clean! I've used Rinse but American Mega is way better. The staff is always kind, professional, and reliable. A special shoutout to Tony, the delivery driver -- he's incredibly courteous and always goes the extra mile. It's rare to find a business that treats customers like family, but American Mega Laundromat truly does. If you're looking for a trustworthy, convenient laundry service with amazing people behind it, I can't recommend them enough!

Jackie, Irene, and Lupita have kept track of all my clothes (and my kids' clothes), folded them with care, and returned them so quickly for years! I never have to worry about losing something. When the clothes come back I feel like I have a new lease on life. Mr. Tony picks up and delivers promptly and with kindness. I feel like he's become an extended family member, because he makes my life work!

I was in a serious debacle trying to wash clothes in my own building that I had to google this…read moreplace because I wanted to try it specifically. From the outside it appears to be clean, inviting, and never busy. Once I arrived, it was very clean, smelled good, organized, excellent service from the staff, and it was very spacious. Bonus to this place is that it is not coin operated. You will need to purchase a laundry card and add the funds . . . how neat! In hindsight the machine in my building not working saved me from walking up & down the steps and only doing 2 loads at a time. I arrived at 11 and was back home by 1:35 and that was after washing, folding, putting clothes in bag, and walking to the carry-out and liquor store. I might ditch the convenience of washing clothes again in my building and go to the neighborhood laundry mat and get it done much faster!

I had put my clothes in the machine, put my soap, put my card in and went to push start and the machine was giving an error that the water was low and it wouldn't let me start the machine. I went to call the guy for help and I said hello to him, he didn't say anything back. I went to the machine and he followed me and tried to start it but it didn't work so he restarted the machine. He then walked away from me not saying anything so I kept saying "excuse me, excuse me" and he just kept walking. He finally turned around and I asked him was he going to refund me the money the card took, he said that was what he was going to do....WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING THEN?? He came back and restarted the machine and it was still giving the same error message. He then told me to move my clothes to a different machine and I was trying to explain to him that I already put the soap in the machine and he just kept repeating "move it to another machine then proceed to yell at me "what did I say!?" and that I don't listen and started pulling his ear while yelling at me that I don't listen. That was utterly rude...I am not his child and there was no reason for him to get loud and disrespectful with me.

I did two loads in the wash and was able to fit both loads into one dryer. I spent $7.25 in total. was a really great experience and i'll definitely be returning soon

By this conversation you know this is a laundry family, the place to be if you need a laundromat. There is a guy here that is probably somebody's grandpa (does he have butterscotch in his pocket?) that was the attendant. He mopped up quickly, he told me it was going to take no less than 30 minutes of drying on low (very true). He was running the place efficiently. It was clean, 90% operable and in a good neighborhood. Although small and they don't take credit cards I will come back if my "Honey Do List" takes me worldwide and back to DC.

I have passed by this business regularly for many years but only found myself in need of their…read moreservice this week. I was really impressed by how well this place was run. I had seen a couple of positive reviews on yelp but I was still a bit apprehensive about whether the place would be very clean ... the place is spotless. An older Asian man (possibly the owner) and a younger Hispanic? woman were working while I was there. They were constantly walking around, checking on all of the machines. I saw them both cleaning and wiping surfaces and the woman also climbed up on a step stool to clean the dispenser above the washer where the detergent and other items are poured in. They both were friendly and responsive. Getting quarters was convenient. They also have a small store with lots of cleaning related items but I did not check it out. There are carts that seem to be of similar quality to grocery carts. One minor peeve was that the dryer seemed to eat up my quarters without registering any time on the dial. A young woman client took pity on me and showed me how to retrieve my money.

I haven't been in a laundromat in a VERY VERY VERY long time (there's a reason for this mention)…read more Instead of discarding a washable rug, I decided to try to clean it. Going in, I had NO idea what to do or what things would cost. A fellow customer advised me to use the extra large washers. I learned later that I added waaaaay too much cleanser. I could go on about my series of unfortunate events (doors not closing, suds everywhere, water on the floor- all user error), but I digress. With all of my angst and mishaps, at every turn, there was someone to assist me, and mostly without asking! There are vending machines, a television, a few arcade games, a store and a counter to purchase detergents. There are little separation areas to keep you from feeling overwhelmed. My rug didn't ring properly, so my drying time was well over 1.5 hours, but that was because of the padding on the rug. I'm here on a Sunday morning. It is not crowded. There were some language barriers, but that didn't stop the staff from eagerly coming over to help me. You guys know I appreciate exceptional customer service! My only criticism (and it's slight) is what's going on in each phase of the wash cycle is not clearly marked. I would return.
