    Ready for cold weather with my new remote starter!

    I made an online purchase for a "plug and play" remote starter for my 2003 Honda Element. I soon realized it was not straight forward and I needed to have a professional installation. I went to Zippos in North Plainfield and they were awesome. They listened to my story and said they could do the installation and gave me a quote. I made an appointment and everything went as planned. Well, sort of. There was a slight problem with the door locks working with the new key fob. Even though the clock was ticking they went above and beyond to solve the problem. The price they quoted did not change, and I am thrilled with the results and service I received. Five Stars! Highly recommend!

The staff didn't install my husband's windshield properly, there was air coming in and they scratched his hood! When we went back to the shop, the team was belligerent and threatening. They seemed angry we had to come back, and one employee accused my husband of calling her a name, I was there and he did not. By the way, she was sitting behind the customer service counter watching something on her phone and eating and was very annoyed we had the nerve to disturb her!! It took three tries to get her to acknowledge us, then she got angry went in the back and told the others we had been disrespectful! I have never had such a terrible experience. I actually felt threatened by the team because they seemed so annoyed with us. We ended up leaving and not even getting the windshield repaired. I spoke with their customer service and corporate office and we will be going somewhere else to get the repair completed.

It was a comedy of errors and incompetence at a level I have never seen before. Even though we had insurance coverage that mandated OEM for our Subaru, they incorrectly informed us that OEM wasn't available. After a third party windshield was replaced last week and we experienced issues and we pushed back for an IEM. So we went back again this morning at 9:05 AM and were told by Brett, Manager that he would have us out in about 2 hours. Almost 3 + hours later we did get our OEM windshield. Thanks for nothing and I'm not sure about value at the end of the day. We spent 3 days consumed dealing with this situation. That's not money well spent!

What really stood out was how smoothly everything went between his company and my insurance (Progressive)--such a huge relief. Jon was also incredibly understanding and flexible, especially with the possibility of rain and my limited garage space. He was willing to work with me to make sure everything still got done without any issues.     I had an appointment from 9-11 am. No one came. Around 11:30 they call me to tell me they are 30…read moremins away. I asked them why didn't they communicate as I have other obligations. I made sure to be home at the time being that I was coming from work and I sat in my car for 2 hours waiting for them and they never showed. 12:30 they still didn't come they are calling me trying to confirm my address when that information was communicated the day prior. After so much delay making me late to other obligations I asked them to cancel as they had no regards to my time and no accountability. Things happen, delays happen but you have to communicate. They offered me a $25 discount which I thought was a slap in the face. I was about to spend $600. I told them to forget it, I was going to do business with them because I was referred to them but the experience was so bitter that I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. A lady calls me back asking me if I'm sure I want to cancel I said yes because they don't respect me nor my time. I informed her I will fix my window elsewhere. She refused to take accountability then tells me "f you b*tch". I hung up. I never rose my voice at her, I never cursed at her. It's pretty bold for them to call me to curse me out when they messed my whole day up due to their lack of professionalism.
