Sub and housing in trunk of Tesla Model 3

I just had a full, custom subwoofer setup installed in my Tesla M3 by the gentlemen at Unexpected Creations. Let me tell you, the level of service, dedication, and professionalism of these two guys was outstanding. They gave me consistent updates and explained to me what they had to do to get the job done and any changes that needed to be made throughout the project. The workshop is setup extremely well given this is a residential business. They built custom housing for the sub, in-house, to fit exactly what was needed for the car. They did everything they needed to do in order to get the job done well and efficiently. Their attention to detail is absolutely outstanding. They have an amazing waiting area if you do decide to wait for the job to be done (I did). They provide a large TV, access to movies, live TV, WiFi, phone chargers and an amazing couch to sit/lounge on. The work on my car was definitely not standard and I applaud these guys for the awesome work and patience they had installing in my M3. I would 100% recommend this business for any audio upgrades that anyone has in mind! I know I'll be going back for sure. They also do remote starters and other accessories for cars if anyone needs that kind of work done.

I still remember the first time reading all the positive reviews raving about Don and his shop. I knew I had to see what all the fanfare was about myself. Four years and multiple vehicles later, I can say that Unexpected Creations lives up to, and exceeds, all of the positive reviews online! Don is friendly, knowledgeable, patient, personable, and just somebody you trust to work on your vehicle. So when I purchased my new to me 2009 Lexus GX470, I knew it was time to make an appointment with Don. So far, Don has installed a remote start with SmartStart, allowing me to use my iPhone from anywhere in the world to start/stop, lock/unlock, and locate real time, even when moving, in my GX. He also replaced my old halogen low beams with new HIDs so I can see much better in the dark. Just these two things alone makes my truck so much more enjoyable to drive. When it's time to upgrade to Apple CarPlay you can be sure it'll be with Unexpected Creations. Don and Steve know exactly what they are doing and will make you love being in your car when they are done! No pushy salesmen here. Just a couple of honest and skilled guys who do amazing work! Give them a call, you won't regret it!

Cadillac would only consider replacing and re-programming the entire unit for nearly $2,500, and every other place that I called wanted no part of even looking at it.. I called him yesterday, explained the problem, and he not only fixed it today in less than 3 hours, but he used the replacement screen that I had purchased myself on Amazon, and charged me only a modest amount for labor.. It is now good as new.. I couldn't be more pleased.. If you are in the market for what he does definitely hit him up..

It was, and remains, a completely valid reason. He had some family issues to attend to and I agree that is more important. Unfortunately, his demeanor towards me since then has been confrontational. Rich has demanded that I remove this review and threatened to involve a lawyer in the matter. I have been nothing but understanding with him. Posting truthful and non-slanderous information to a public forum on the Internet regarding this business is protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States (see: Reno v. ACLU). In addition, I am of the opinion that Yelp! reviews are supposed to be honest reviews from customers regarding their interactions with businesses. I understand that Rich is upset about my leaving a 1-star review on his business. That is why I gave him three stars and the opportunity to earn my trust back. As I told him, judging by the other reviews on his business, he should have easily been able to earn some cash and get his other two stars. He chose not to do so. Instead, he threatened me with legal action for leaving an honest review of my interaction with his business on a public site. My final comment on this business is a word of caution to other potential customers. Rich is an interesting guy. If you are not prepared to be berated for disagreeing with his views on public discourse, I might suggest looking for a different installer, which is a shame because I hear he does good work.

They took care of me when I had my Scion xB, & continue to take care of me now that I have a different car (H-rv) they always seem to amaze me. For that alone I'm grateful. I had a laundry list of problems when I went to High End Vine, including being quoted amounts way over what they themselves set as prices when I called their NJ location (basically only lowering stuff from 150-200% to their normal price if I questioned it), having them lie about why this was with nonsensical answers that weren't even well though-out. High End's customer service was terrible, a bunch of games (it's absurd how shady these got) to lock me in there and then keep charging more, not to mention how many things they messed up or dropped the ball on. It was a circus and incredibly stressful. At Philly Car Toyz, who I went to after pulling work from High End, I felt like I could finally relax. They're all AMAZING people. Genuine, decent, fair and the most important part: incredibly knowledgable. I can't stress that last part enough, though all of it was beyond what I've ever experienced, even at the best businesses I've patronized...I mean they bought me lunch while I was waiting ffs. But even though the lunch thing was consistent with how they treated me with everything else, and customer regard is very important, lunch is not why someone is reading this review. The big question is price and expertise. They charged me less than HALF of what High End was going to (and I know High End's charges would've undoubtedly gone up as the job progressed). Everything about the sincerity and decency of Philly Car Toyz would have been enough for me, even if they had average technicians. However, their main technician Mike is insanely knowledgable, practical and has the customer's satisfaction front and center. He puts everyone else's knowledge that I've met in car audio to shame (though his expertise spans so many areas other than audio, and that's what you want). Not to mention he's willing to go above and beyond in terms of the actual workload. From now on, for anything I need related to non-essential car services, I will be going no where else and will recommend them to anyone I can. Even if I didn't have such a terrible experience somewhere else first, I'd still be blown away. Go here, seriously.

I found him here on Yelp and hired him for a PPI to look at a 2003 Tiburon. A family member is an enthusiast for these old cars which they wanted to make into a "hot hatch". I met Lee at the dealer, which was a long drive to the dealer for both of us. And of course the car was in a back lot 3 or 4 rows deep. So while waiting for the dealer to find the car and bring it to the front, Lee noticed some teenagers who were there to look at a Civic SI. One of them was checking for rust by knocking his knuckles on the car body. Lee smiled at this and went over to chat with them and before you know it, he was reviewing the car with them, explaining how you really check for rust, opened the hood and began digging into how to tell if this Civic was running well or not. He looks underneath the car by getting on the ground and actually looking. I noticed all the other guys, both the dealer guys and the buyers, were hesitant to do this. I think they were intimidated because he obviously knew much more about engines than they did. I was impressed that Lee has the instincts of an educator. He really wants to not just evaluate the car but to teach others how to examine a car. Eventually the Tiburon appears and then Lee quickly went through his process. He focuses on the engine and doesn't move on from that until all issues are covered. In this case, he zeroed in immediately on the coolant system. It wasn't holding pressure. I watched as he carefully tested and retested and showed the dealer technician that the system was bad and that it was leaking. We had already been there for an hour and a half so it was decided that the dealer would pull a hose from another car ( the dealer was close to a salvage yard) and repair it and then Lee would return to test it again. In the end, even the dealer gave up on this car, he didn't complete any repair and we moved on. But I will have Lee examine any car we are considering. He is an excellent mechanic, fair and honest.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!…read more On 10/3/25, my husband paid Lee Wiles / Common Vision LLC $1,020 (plus a $281 tip) for axle and brake repair. Less than 24 hours later, the car broke down in a dangerous way. AAA confirmed the repair was unsafe and improperly done, and another certified mechanic verified this. The axle came out and nearly caused a serious accident. When I contacted him, instead of refunding the payment, he admitted in text messages that "the axle came out" but refused to return the money. He also tried to deflect responsibility by making inappropriate comments about race and insisted on "fixing" it again -- despite my clear statements that I no longer trusted him after such unsafe work. I have full documentation: receipt, CashApp payment, AAA confirmation, mechanic statement, and text messages from his phone. This needs to be on record to prevent him from scamming and endangering others. He is also not listed with the BBB as a registered business -- but I have filed a complaint so there will now be a record. If he scammed you too, REPORT HIM. Businesses that operate this way do not last. Add On: It's not harassment to ask for my money back after a repair failed in less than 24 hours and almost caused an accident. AAA confirmed the axle came out because of improper work, and a certified mechanic verified this. I provided proof: receipt, CashApp payment, and text messages where Mr. Wiles himself admitted "the axle came out." I made it very clear that I would not allow him to touch my car again after such an unsafe repair. At that point, the only responsible action was to issue a refund. Instead, he refused, deflected responsibility, and made inappropriate comments about race. This is not about being "nice" or "polite." It's about safety, integrity, and accountability. I stand by my review and documentation. Others deserve to know what happened so they can protect themselves. DO NOT TRUST HIM!!
