I almost never give out five stars but after being here twice and having superlative results, in combination with friendly, professional people, I've just got to do it. Unfortunately, we have had quite a few windshields replaced in our household. Today is the second time for one of our cars. I am incredibly picky and highly critical of workmanship. They messedup my headliner where it meets the windshield. They said that they didnt touch it when they changed the windshield. The headliner was fine before the windshield replacement, it is loose now after they changed. The dealer wants 1600 to replace headliner. read more

My 2017 Subaru Outback Limited had a cracked windshield from a rock that hit the windshield when we were driving on the highway. The car is equipped with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. I needed to get the car windshield replaced and the ADAS EyeSight Driver Assist cameras recalibrated after the new windshield was installed. The Subaru Dealer in Flemington was to much money and they have someone else do the work for them. Safelite was a little less then the dealer to repair and I would have to bring my car to the East Brunswick location for repair because that facility was the closest and had the equipment to do the ADAS recalibration. I was not going through my auto insurance for the repair. Plus I had a $1000 deductible that I would have to satisfy first. With all that being said, I found Quality Auto Glass in South Plainfield on my internet search. I'm so glad I did! Their website was easy to navigate and I put a request through their website for a windshield repair. I received a phone call within 30 minutes of submitting my request. The person in the office who returned my call was named Melissa. She was very polite, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I also received a quote that was very reasonable for what I needed done on my Subaru Outback and was way less then my $1000 auto insurance deductible. If your car has ADAS safety cameras you want to make sure it's repaired by a company like Quality Auto Glass that can make your car's safety features like new again in a controlled environment. Sure you can have the glass repaired at your house or work, but the recalibration of the safety cameras is key. What is your safety worth? I also think of the recalibration as the car getting new eyeglasses and they may need to be adjusted to see correctly. So I made an appointment with Melissa and had my car repaired 2 days later. When I picked up my car I was helped by Greg and he couldn't be nicer to work with. It's now 2 months later and I have no leaks or issues with my new windshield. If you live in Union, Middlesex or Somerset Counties in NJ give this family owned business your auto glass business. You won't be disappointed! Small businesses are what drive your local economies. I took my car to Quality Auto Glass about a year and a half ago to replace a cracked windshield. To be honest, I chose them because they were close to my office and didn't think much of it. A few months ago, I discovered that there was a water leak in my car. After taking it to the dealership, they suggested that the leak may be coming from the windshield, but that they weren't sure. Since I had had the windshield replaced at Quality Auto Glass, I called them up to see what they could find. The said that even though my replacement was out of warranty, that if there was an issue they would take a look and work with me on getting it fixed. Fast forward a few days and it turns out that the windshield wasn't the underlying issue, however the folk at Quality Glass went above and beyond to try and find the cause of the leak and help me out with getting it fixed. Ron, the owner told me that he'd keep working with me until we figured it out. I managed to do some troubleshooting on my own to address the issue, however I was extremely impressed that these guys would work over the course of a few weeks even though it wasn't their fault to begin with. Bottom line is that they are trustworthy and highly recommended. read more

My experience with Quality Glass was nothing short of excellence. From the moment I placed a call to set up an appointment to driving off the lot with my new windshield; I was satisfied from start to finish. Originally I was scheduled to have my windshield replaced on my Jeep Wrangler by Safelite. I later spoke with a Quality Glass representative who had quoted a much more reasonable price for the same windshield replacement (almost a $200 difference!!!). I checked reviews online and seeing as how most, if not all, were favorable, I decided to go with Quality Glass. When I pulled onto the lot, I was politely greeted and was even shown the windshield they would be installing. This was important to me since I am very selective and stated I would only allow Mopar glass for my Wrangler. The install, along with the time needed to let the glass sit, was about a few hours and I was back on the road the same day. Once back on the road, my final test was to listen for any airflow caused by gaps in the windshield after the install. To my relief, the ride was whisper quiet which told me the windshield was carefully and professionally installed without any errors. The next time I need any glass replaced on my vehicle, I'll be returning to Quality Glass in a heartbeat. read more

Made a simple call to get my vehicle on the calendar for repair, and the guy that answered the phone was not only rude, but didn't want to take the time to look up my information or check to see if they received my claim information from my insurance company, and well, was busy. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, so that's a plus. If you find a chip in your window, however, they seem to be misinformed about what the law is in N.J. regarding the fixing of it. I called, thinking I could get a 1/2 inch chip on the driver's side of my window repaired for under $100. The gentleman on the phone told me that according to N.J. state law, if there is any damage to the driver's side of a front windshield (defined by the driver's side windshield wiper span) I'd have to get the windshield totally replaced. I called my insurance company. FALSE. Instead of paying the quoted $250 for a new windshield I didn't need, I payed nothing, as my insurance covered the small fix, because the chip was under the size of a dollar. Moral of the story? These guys might be fine if you already know you need a new windshield, but don't trust them to give you an honest account of what you need to spend. read more

Been to this place several times. Once for a cracked window repair and another for a total window replacement. Customer service was excellent. My schedule made it difficult to bring my car to their shop so they actually came to my work and repaired it in the parking lot, doesn't get much easier then that. Professional staff, friendly service, and reasonable prices. I recommend Quality glass to everyone. I almost feel like putting their card on windows of parked cars that I see that need repair. My son's car was leaking water on the interior every time it rained. Made an appointment on Wednesday afternoon. Dropped it off at the North Plainfield shop on Tuesday morning at 8:00AM. By 10:00 Steve called me with a diagnosis and a very reasonable estimate. Car was ready by 2:00 and Steve even had pictures of the cracked seams over the hatch that they had patched. We've now had a month of cold rainy weather and the car's interior has remained completely dry. Great job for a great price. Would definitely use these guys again! read more

Not happy with this place! Went there Friday for an estimate and appointment. Said come in Saturday morning when we open and pick the car up at one when we close, so we drop the car off got there at 7:50 . When we arrived back at 12:45 the car was moved to a new spot but was never worked on! Never bothered to give us a phone call they said they were too busy they're sorry they were backed up a little. It would've been a two minute phone call and it was too much to ask of them to call us to tell us that it cannot be worked on today! A Guy at work got his windshield replaced for $250. He recommended the place to me. I used their web site to get a quote and they called back within a couple of hours. The next day, I brought my car into their North Plainfield, NJ shop. They replaced the front windshield and it looks brand new. No leaks or squeaks. They can also come to your location; but I wanted to have the repair done indoors since it was winter. read more

We used Quality Auto Glass after a car dealer employee said that that's the company the dealer uses to replace glass...but the dealer charges an added fee for themselves. The person we talked to on the phone was terrific and took the time to patiently answer all of our questions. We were able to schedule a repair the day after we called. They came to our house (but would also come to a place of business) and worked quickly. We were thrilled that they also transferred our EZ-Pass stickers, our rear-view mirror, and our inspection sticker. We would use them again in a heartbeat! read more

This place sucks! I had an accident with my Mazda B2300. I needed my windshield, back window and driver side window replaced. When I got my truck back the roof in front of the back window was hanging down I could barely see behind me through my rear view mirror. Next my driver side mirror wouldn't go up or down ( and it's a manual ) finally to top it off for some reason a person left a pack of razors in my truck and I didn't see them until I went to vacuum it out and almost vacuumed up the razors. My son had a cracked windshield and with the frigid temperatures last week (Jan 2,2018) I wanted him to go get it replaced asap. I called Quality auto glass and spoke with Melissa who was very courteous and friendly, I had to ask her about prices, which was very good for our budget. He drives a Jeep Wrangler so the price was good. Also getting a 19yr old to wake up during college vacation is difficult so I had called Melissa a few times about times and getting him at the North Plainfield shop withing an hours time frame. Melissa was very patient with me calling her a few times and got him in by noontime and by 4pm his windshield was done. He also said that the workers at the North Plainfield shop were very nice to him. I will recommend Quality Glass to anyone they get the job done and not expensive at all read more

The whole experience from start to finish surpassed expectation. From the initial phone call to schedule a windshield replacement, to the install on the following day, the staff was accurate, prompt, knowledgable and courteous. I called to schedule an appointment on a Tuesday and they let me know that the install could happen the following day and that they could perform the install at my own home. They then provided me an itinerary for the install which they continued to carry out flawlessly. The installer arrived at exactly the time that they had estimated and finished the job in exactly the allotted time for the job, perfectly. Courteous? Yes they are very nice. Honestly and Integrity? Judge for yourself. I had my sunroof repaired at their North Plainfield shop for $450.00 back on 6/28/12 and they said it came with a one year warranty which was acceptable. It has now stopped working this week 5/4/13 and I took it in for warranty service and they call me back and said "The guy who sold me the wiring for your sunroof misquoted me and it is not a one year warranty but a six month warranty. " Then he says it will cost me another $300 plus to repair my sunroof and they will not honor the warranty! What kind of business is this that gives you a one year warranty at the point of sale then when a problem arises they pull a bait and switch? Had they told me it was only a six month warranty I would not have had it repaired. I would NOT RECOMMEND this shop to anyone. read more

Buyer beware! I went to this shop to get a piece of glass made for a back window for my antique car. The glass was made, professionally installed and within minutes even without driving the car, it cracked. Apparently, the glass was cut too short. I called Chris Parello. He said bring the cracked glass on by; he would remake it at a discounted price and I could pick it up on the spot. After arriving first thing in the morning, at his request, he then proceeded to tell me that he didn't have the time to remake my glass and he'll get back to me when he can. Three weeks go by, no phone call. I show up at the shop to retrieve my frame which was left for him to measure out my new glass at which point he wants to explain why it wasn't done. I'm not interested in his excuses. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Very unprofessional! Please keep in mind that he was already paid for his very shoddy work. read more
