    Kids playing Laser Tag
    Patricia F.

The kids love this place, and they definitely get their exercise. And as many times as we have been here, never had any 3 hours unlimited for 3 kids $83.85 This trip to Zip City was for the Indoor Soccer league. Was a little surprised that even the players have got to pay to enter building. Besides that we really had a good time, the field was really nice.

A great place for indoor zip lining, rock climbing, laser tag,and jumping! There is even a small area for toddlers, "toddler town", this is for toddlers who are 3 years and under, HOWEVER who don't weight over 35lbs. This is important to know if your doing a birthday party here. Also note, even if you pay for one hour of for example toddler town, if your guest arrive 615 or 620 then too bad, that's part of their hour that's gone even though your party is rented until 8pm. Everything is pre paid, therefore you are supposed to know how many toddlers are coming and their weight too otherwise you end up paying for 2 extra toddlers who are over 35lbs, they aren't allowed in & it's non refundable money. The pizzas are actually from a third party outside so you must know ahead how much to order, no biggie there. I highly recommend you do NOT rent here for a birthday party! It is not worth it. Your given a room with 3 tables, with a green liner on them, that's literally it. They are not set up & ready anyway for when food arrives, not even napkins are out! They have 1 person rush to start preparing everything at half an hour before your to leave! The beverages that you order your not allowed to have supposedly until 30 min before your time to leave. We received our pizzas at 732p, beverages at 7:40, thats 20 min before we were supposed to leave. On top of being expected to eat in that time frame, those 20 min included cake time too!!! My 5 min cake rush was a mess too, the gal offered to help cut and pass out cake, I already didn't get to eat pizza or beverages bc I was busy getting pizza for kids, cake was cut in such big pieces even for the 2 year olds that many people didn't get cake including the birthday boy. I would think Birthday child should be first to get any cake. This is the chaos result of hungry & thirsty people having to wait until 20 min before our time is up there! So you see note, that you really only get the room for 20 some minutes. When I approached staff to ask questions, the girls there are very young & don't seem like they know what they are doing, and the one assigned you us even would roll her eyes at me. I had many un happy guest. Several children in my group wore glasses and note, they are NOT allowed to play dodge ball there with glasses. But you can at sky zone. I've had much better experience at other places, take your party & money else where like Deffy or sky zone who actually throw great parties and have much better helpful staff. I spent about 600$ and regret I chose zip city. This is a great place for just an hour or two of fun but in no way are they prepped for parties here.

Over priced, dirty. Not fun unless you're in a group. We should have gone to Sky zone instead.

It has preety much everything you would want in a kids park. The park is actually in 2 parts, one in the front of the school and the other and much larger part in the back of the school. The park is named after a community leader, Dr Marvin Sandorf, who tirelessly served the community. The playground is very well maintained and has some top notch exotic equipment. They have you basic playground equipment and some stuff that I have never seen before. There is also a covered pavilion with picnic tables and a couple of grills. They have two very nice full basketball courts, one of which doubles as a field hockey rink pickleball court and other activities. It is touted as the state's very first Multi Use Game Area (MUGA) court. Both courts are some of the best I have ever seen. There is of course swings, slides, a merry go round, a xylophone, and two large jungle gym structures. I did see a water fountain out there, but there are not any restrooms. Of course there are benches throughout the park to sit on and relax. The playground is lined with artificial turf and that rubber surface that most new playgrounds are putting down on the floor. The park has a private parking lot for visitors and a huge green field to play football, soccer, frisbee or just throw the ball around. There is even a small bike/skateboard track next to the ball courts. It is very small and looks like an accident waiting t happen. My main issue with the playground is that due to the proximity to the school they have commandeered it. When I was there half the school was playing out there. They also had some classes eating lunch out there under the pavilion. It was packed. I like this park a lot, but the fact that the school has taken over the public park played into my rating (I was teetering between a 3 and 4, but decided to go with the 4). It is very hard to enjoy the park and all that it has to offer with over 50 kids running around. I almost felt like I was trespassing. I recommend going to this park when school is out. You and your little ones will enjoy the park much better and I am sure you will have a lot of fun.

This is a great playground for kids who like to climb! There is also a merry-go-round, swings (both regular swings and ones where you can swing with your child), a small structure for young kids, musical instruments and best of all, the whole playground is covered in that nice, soft rubber that is great for playing on (and falling on, if that happens). The park also has basketball courts, a track for skateboarding and riding bikes, a multi-purpose greenspace (open field) for soccer, and lots of picnic tables all around the playground. One thing that I didn't see was restrooms. I'm hoping they get some of those in there at some point! Sandorf Park is located behind Frederick Douglass IPS School 19. There is a different playground in front of the elementary school itself, but I'm not sure if it's available to the public (although I didn't see any signs that stated anything to the contrary).

My 11-year-old son and I played pickleball for months at the Club then suddenly we were told that "liability" issues would prevent him from playing there again. My son is a very talented, mature player who got along very well with the adults, or so it seemed. Apparently one or more adults did not want a child playing regardless of skill level or temperament. That's selfish and intolerant but ultimately their decision. My problem is the hypocrisy of the management which allows tennis players my son's age or younger to play there on a regular basis but excludes my son. Is tennis a safer game than pickleball? In any case, no apology was made or workaround offered. I urge pickleball players to choose the Pearson Automotive Tennis Center; it's a much more welcoming place.

The Carmel Racquet Club clearly benefits from being the 'only game in town.' The location is…read moreobviously convenient as choices are limited for indoor courts north of Indianapolis. That said, the facilities themselves are well below par. The locker rooms and bathrooms are beyond outdated. Furthermore the locker rooms and bathrooms are extremely dirty. I am not sure these are even cleaned daily. And when the pool is open, which is not a guaranty, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Our child went here for tennis lessons. Beware of missing a lesson - you will not be given a refund or allowed to reschedule. A no refund policy is understandable, if undesirable, however the fact that you can't reschedule is ridiculous. My child hurt their foot, was in a walking boot and the response from the club when attempting to reschedule - 'Too bad, no refunds or makeup classes under any circumstances.' Our 3 children have participated in many activities over 10 years and this is the only time we were not allowed a makeup class. I certainly wouldn't consider this good customer service. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Carmel Racquet Club. Between the poor facilities and lacking customer service, it is worth the drive to find a better club.

Near the front of the park next to one of the shelters are 3 very nice and well maintained sets of corn hole boards. They are very impressive. The park has a fenced in splash pad that looks pretty cool. They have benches around the perimeter for parents to sit and watch the littles. In the warmer months it is open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM. The center piece of the park is it playground area. It is lined with rubber matting and turf. It also has shade awnings and some new age equipment. There are a couple of saucer swings, a universal carousel, a bunch of net climbers, a couple of slides, a 4-square course, a see-saw, some percussion instruments, and a whirl and twirl. I must say, the equipment looks straight out of an Ikea catalog. There are a few benches in this area for parents to sit and watch their kids. The park's paved fitness/jogging trail is awesome. It is well paved and has dog poop stations placed along the route. There is a huge parking lot for the park and they have even added a little bridge that connects the back parking spots with the park, crossing over a little prairie area. In addition to all that, the park has a few green space pockets that are suitable for playing catch, a pick up football game, a soccer match, flying a kite or other similar activities. The park is one of the nicer ones that I have visited and I like that the play are does not have dirt or mud. It is very well maintained and in good shape. I hope to make it back to this park when the splash pad is operational and get the full experience.
