Walking up to the main Lodge.
    Wendy L.

Mid January offered cool weather and no crowds, which was perfect. The rustic Lodge was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and happy to help get your stuff from the parking area if needed. Our room had a view balcony with seating, a comfy bed, our own full bath (hot water was a bit slow truth be told), mini fridge, coffee machine and supplies, in room safe, tv, USB ports, desk, chairs and plenty of storage. The common areas had cushy seating, tables, a fireplace, microwave, recycling and an ice machine. When the shuttles are running, you'd just park and ride, which is great. There's coffee and food in the main Lodge building, which is convenient. Other lodging options were camping in the park, plus we noticed many little places in Springdale, UT, outside the park gates. We'll be back.

wake up, put on a shirt (cause it's july and it's hot); step outside, and stand in awe, being just in it. or: morning hike is over, take a shower, be refreshed for a second afternoon/sunset hike. or: wake up before dawn, get all your stuff together and just start up the west rim trail and watch the sunrise from somewhere up high set an alarm for midnight on a new moon day in the summer. if the sky is clear, bring a blanket and find a really dark place, facing south, unobstructed by trees. look up, and if you have a camera that can take a long exposure, as little as 10 seconds can be enough (unfortunately from there, to get it to pop you'll have to do some significant editing/balancing) catch a shooting star with the people that you love. come back, and experience all of this with each other again

We stayed in an upstairs king suite. Lovely balcony with a view. Enjoyed all the advantages of staying "in the park". Comfortable and convenient. Ate dinner at the lodge restaurant: good food and drinks. Two bucket list items: Zion and staying in a national park inn. Yay!

The Zion Lodge Red Rock Grill, the only restaurant within Zion NP, is located at stop 5 of the Zion Canyon Line (green).

Nice place for a breakfast or dinner before/after your hike. Only moderately crowded during the morning, so shouldn't be hard for you to grab breakfast here. Often crowded at night as people hop off the last ride from the Zion shuttle, so plan your dinner accordingly. Magnificent view of the Zion mountains. Polite, helpful staff. The food is generic; nothing too healthy or scrumptious. Just remember it is at stop 5 of the Zion Canyon Line (green). It is the only restaurant within Zion National Park, so take care and fuel up. My breakfast total here was $23, and my dinner total here was $28.

Decent food for being the only dining option in the park during winter. It provided us with fuel to hike the next 9 miles. Vegetable soup hit the spot with lots of veggies and fries were delicious. Service is quick and friendly. Nice view of the park.

Extremely comfortable visit. Beautiful location, very nice room and bathroom area. Loved our front porch with rocking chairs. Sat out there in the evenings and watched the family of deers come up for the evening snack of grass, bugs??? The restaurant doesn't have many options nor does the cafe. They did have a ton of servers though. Gift shop was nice and had a large selection as well. As we visited in August we had no issue with parking. Received gate code and red parking pass several weeks before our visit to allow us to get to lodge since driving wasn't permitted in the park. Shuttles were frequent and convenient. If you want to go to Springdale make sure you to take your receipt from entering park with you. We didn't have a receipt or my dad who has a VA park pass. So we had to pay to get back into park.

Clean, convenient and serene when all the daytime crowds start leaving. You're not staying at national park lodges for luxurious accommodations and amenities, even though you may be paying just as much. The draw here is that you have the privilege of staying inside a beautiful park and have the best access to the park during your stay. While others had to take shuttles in from nearby Springdale, we were able to walk out on our balcony and enjoy the serenity around us. We could easily walk across the street to the trailheads or hop on the shuttle to another trailhead. Food options are obviously limited and a bit costly but adequate. We chose not to drive out for food and just enjoy the restaurant inside the lodge. The room itself was adequate. It was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed for a short stay. We found we didn't even need to use our car once we were parked. The best part of staying inside any national park is when the daytime visitors have not arrived yet or have already headed out. The park takes on a completely different personality and you will see wildlife come out of hiding. The stars at night are magnificent since there is almost zero light pollution here. One thing to note, if you're trying to work here or keep in touch with anyone outside, the cell service is almost non-existent. Wi-Fi service inside the lodge is also really bad, even if you are in the main lodge area. Try to plan any outside communication accordingly because it probably won't happen around here.

Came into Zion National Park not having a place to stay for the night so we took a chance and came into the Zion lodge which is right inside the park. Went to the check in desk and unbelievable to us they had one room left. Loved our stay. Quaint little cabin room. Only negative were that the pillows were uncomfortable but all else was amazing. Limited wifi but when you are in the lobby area there is plenty of seating to relax for a moment and catch up on your emails lol! Outside the lodge there is a beer garden so you can sit outside enjoy the Mountain views and have a beer. Inside upstairs in the lobby is the Red Rock Grill. We had dinner there and it was amazing. They have a cafe for a quick drink, snack, sandwich or cup of coffee and they also have a gift shop. You might see a wild turkey roaming around or a deer. Staff is very friendly and can answer any questions you have.

Super cute lodge that you can stay at within the park! We didn't stay here, but it is one of the shuttle stops and so we stopped here just to check it out. Fantastic views of the Zion mountain range from the expansive front yard of the lodge and very cute woodsy decor throughout the interior of the lodge! There's a gift shop here, so I picked up quite a few cute pins, stickers, and postcards to commemorate our time at Zion! Great spot to stop in if you want to rest (they have plenty of chairs and sofas in their lobby and just outside the front of the building to relax in), use the restroom, and get some souvenirs while you're at it!

Our family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights recently in the John Wesley Powell King Suite and it was glorious! The suite was clean and well-appointed. The patio was private and facing out towards the monumental red rock cliff faces. It was quiet and we had little foot traffic outside our room. The room was also so dark with the blackout curtains closed! That helped us get a little extra rest. the wifi was slow but we found it totally acceptable given the location and actually slightly better than I expected. do be aware the wifi is not secure so use at your own risk. The restaurant is good but not amazing. We've eaten there many times over the years and 5 times this last week. It is very reasonably priced, has a great staff, and unbeatable views so i'd definitely recommend it. Also, stop by Castle Dome Grill for a beer and grab a soft serve. The beer, ice cream, and fries are good. Not sure id recommend much else there. It is Aramark ballpark food. The lodge location can't be beat. The staff were almost all super nice and accommodating universally. We felt like locals after 4 days and considered staying an other 4 lol. Now that we have stayed here, we'll never go back to staying outside the park.

We stayed at Zion Lodge for 3 days at the end of November and didn't regret a single minute. The location is incredibly convenient--right inside the park! Our room was on the second floor. The heater worked perfectly, keeping it warm and cozy despite the chilly weather. The view from the balcony was breathtaking; one day we saw deer, and on another, wild goats. The only downside was the old mattresses, which might be uncomfortable for those with sensitive backs. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable stay!

At 500 sq. ft, it feels spacious and serene, with a sitting area over looking the river below, blackout drapes, soaking tub, seperate walk-in shower, pillow-top mattress, workplace, and a 55" TV that my man really appreciates. But the best part is the large private balcony with seating and a direct view of The Watchman, one of Zion's most iconic peaks. Sunrises and sunsets from here are epic. Your stay includes, wifi, parking, year-round access to the outdoor pools and hot tubs, fire pits, fitness center, bathrobes and slippers, ac/heat, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and fresh coffee each morning near the lobby. On-site you'll also find a restaurant by the name of Anthera, and a spa, both of which I recommend. With 53 rooms, the property doesn't feel like just another standard hotel. What truly sets it apart though, is what lies just behind it, the lush riverside gardens. Ending your day sitting by the river, listening to the water move past as your thoughts quiet and your whole body softens. In the morning expect to see a lot of deer grazing in the grass areas. It's genuinely spellbinding. If the restaurant on property doesn't interest you there are other walkable options nearby and this property does not allow pets. Denise Wood, the General Manager has assembled a staff that rivals any high priced resort. The staff went out of its way to ensure our comfort, especially at the front desk who helped with our early check-in. Our room was modern, spacious, quiet and clean. First impressions…read morewere great - we were checked in at the front desk by the charismatic "Mr. Rock n Roll" who got us all squared away and asked if we needed any recommendations for anything in the area, provided us a map dotted with local eateries and general directions to and around the Park. Our room was on the ground floor with two queen beds, a beautiful view across the parking lot of the red rocks and easy access to and from the parking lot (which was much appreciated since it was super cold and started to flurry overnight and into the next day). The room itself was spacious and clean, the fridge worked really well (almost TOO well - it froze our drinks!), everything was well stocked. We utilized the jacuzzi one evening despite it being in the 30s, which was clean and relaxing after a long day of travel and hiking around. The only drawback we experienced during our stay was regarding the breakfast situations during the two mornings we were there. Apparently there was an emergency floor repair in the kitchen which meant they were unable to access it to prepare the continental spread that Hampton Inn is so well-known for. Instead, each morning there were stacks of brown takeaway boxes pre-filled with different food selections, which were displayed at the front of the dining room, but the boxes were not clearly marked so people were having to open them to examine the contents of each box. The staff members were absolutely not to blame - they were running around the dining room constantly, checking on guests and seeing what they could bring out from the back to ensure everyone had what they wanted and needed. For kids, they were running back and finding cold cereal, juices, etc. If there was a vegetarian, they were finding options (i.e. frozen potato and egg breakfast burritos) for them, too. They had brought in extra microwaves to accommodate everyone having to warm their own food. I heard a few guests grumbling but the staff remained warm and friendly. One staff member in particular, Annette, deserves special recognition. She was answering everyone's questions, letting them know the repair was unfortunately expected to take 3 weeks, and that they were only 2 days into their new "routine" so they only expected it to get better and run smoother as they got into their rhythm. When our 6-year-old decided she didn't like anything on offer one of the mornings and was getting antsy, Annette walked her over to the front desk and let her pick out a coloring book to keep her occupied while mom and dad finished their breakfasts. Thank you, Annette, for helping us keep our sanity! Overall, you just can't beat the value for the price, the proximity to the Park and everything else there is to see in Springdale and Zion. We had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely stay again.

You could get on the shuttle stop to the left of the hotel to go further down the main street if you didn't want to walk. At check-in, they gave us a big sheet of helpful information showing us the town and the park shuttle stops. Springdale is very convenient, you can walk to several other restaurants and stores from the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious quiet and had a wonderful balcony with two chairs and a table to sit and admire the incredible mountain view. The room has a microwave, refrigerator and freezer, a really nice Keurig coffee maker (modern, made coffee quickly), generic Keurig coffee cups, and a couch with a large open area and a separate TV (another by the bed). There was a long bench which was nice for my husband's bigger suitcase and a luggage rack. The bathroom was compact. My knee was about 2" from the open door. There was enough sink counter space. When you shower, make sure the doors are positioned so the one by the shower head closes completely touches the wall. My husband had the other one which didn't touch the wall, and the water flowed between the doors and was flooding the floor. We declined daily housekeeping with our Do Not Disturb sign, and Housekeeping put a plastic bin of bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, and a new roll of toilet paper by our door. First hotel where I have ever seen this! As a woman who feels anxiety when there is no spare toilet paper and the one on the wall is getting small, this was greatly appreciated! There are several units of rooms, so you have to walk outside for breakfast. We were in room 231, B unit on the corner. Stairs on one side and an elevator on the other side of the building. Behind it is the pool and hot tub. The water felt really cool in April, and the hot tub more warm than hot. A family with small kids was playing in it. Pool is open 7 am - 10 pm. There are outdoor firepits and a laundry building (24 hrs). The breakfast had scrambled eggs, one type of breakfast meat, and hash brown potatoes that were heavily peppered. The first morning, they were mostly black with pepper. That was the main drawback for me. Breakfast is 6 am - 10 am. Maintenance came after 1 pm the next day, like I requested to address water that had been trickling out of our shower. He tightened the shower head and showed not to tighten the turn-off knob too much (which I also had found out the previous night). Very nice person. End of April 2026, we paid $316/night or $362.48 with taxes/night.
