I went during one of the lowest tides of the year, and I saw a lot of sea life. I saw sea cucumbers, sea stars, fish, countless sea anemones, etc. On the walk back, I even saw a ginormous moon snail. There were incredible views of the water and sand. It's super refreshing to relax here. Do note that you have to climb a fenced overpass across some railroad tracks, so if you're nervous about heights, don't look down! The washrooms here weren't well stocked with soap when I visited, but it might be because of the sheer volume of visitors. Multiple car parks were full. It's great to see that everyone is so interested in nature!

There is a grass area and a long strip of rocky beach to sit near the waterfront. The restrooms are fairly clean. They offer daily kayak rentals. If you find your perfect spot on the beach you may see some wildlife, like various seabirds and seals. Overall, it's a clean and family friendly beach that feels safe. There is lots of parking but it does get filled up quickly on a nice sunny day. Go early to get a good parking spot!

Although you may not be able to get anything close to the beach. There is a nice "boardwalk" to walk or bike along and offers a scenic view. The beach area is a decent size and can accommodate many families but be warned that it is rocky and pebbly. There was a private event happening in a building there. They also had several bathrooms. A cute little cafe and a place to rent kayaks. It was just a nice vibe. If you didn't want to sit on the beach area there were plenty of benches to just sit and enjoy the view as well.

So better be on time and make a line if this happens. This year was different. We got tickets but there was just another family. Maybe because we got there at midday. Beach was crowded. We had to walk just a little bit to get a spot and set everything. People come and go with every ferry so there's always space. Just a dew benches but everyone wants to be at the beach near the dry sand. Water will come later on, but the rest is wet. You have to walk for a few minutes to get to the water. It is pretty shallow. This year we had to run because it was shrimp season and they make sand unstable. At first everyone wants to dodge algae, but you end up stepping on it. Getting into the water was the same. It felt like quicksand. It didn't feel quite relaxing. 10 years ago it we would stay for hours in water. Kids would play easily. We'll, at least animals hace set a home! Jetty is a small island just a quarter of mile from Port of Everett. But i don't think you will be able to swim with all your stuff back and forth after a day there :D You ca always kayak if there's no more room in the Ferry. By the way, it is a small passengers only. Strollers won't move on sand so leave it in your car. Do bring everything you need like water, towels, a tent that can resist wind (it gets pretty windy and can blow umbrellas), etc. If you bring food, take all you garbage with you. Don't leave anything. I saw some kids stuff laying there waiting for the water to come over and take it to the sea. So sad. I carried most of it because there are no garbage bins in sight. Also, there is just one floating restroom. It tends to smell. Take it into consideration when drinking lots of water. We usually go to the one in the parking lot first and when coming back. It is very clean. Lots of stalls. Parking lot is big if you extend it to the grass area. There is always someone checking you paid for it.

There's a little pier nearby where people are seen fishing and crabbing, and you can see the ferry arriving and departing. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean with great water pressure in the shower. The room I had offered a partial view of the waterfront and had a cozy gas fireplace. There is also free covered and uncovered parking. BUT I'm also rating the food! There is a complimentary hot breakfast offered with breakfast burritos (and of course salsa, avocado, and hot sauce), scrambled egg, breakfast strata, sausage/bacon, and potatoes. Of course, no breakfast is complete without a waffle maker with both standard batter and a rotating flavored batter. There's also yogurt, breakfast cereal, milk, juice, coffee and tea. There is a huge selection so there's something in it for everyone! And the views are just amazing just from the dining area. I would stay here again!

There were also covered places and plenty of shaded grassy areas to have a picnic. The negatives: the restrooms were very dirty and gross. There was a sign up near the water that said there were unsafe levels of fecal matter and one should not swim in the water. The problem is that the sign was off to the side and many people couldn't see it so they were still swimming.
