There is a kitchen that includes a 30-cup coffee maker, as well as two lovely water dispensers, and much more. There is a large screen with the electronics and speakers to show a slide show or movie. The parking lot is huge, the place is easy to find, right off the road, but it feels peaceful and secluded. The proprietor, Autumn, met us there to go through the electronics and the other details, and before I showed with all my snacks and flowers, she'd already put white tablecloths on all five (huge) tables, and pulled out additional smaller tables for pictures and memorabilia. Everything was spotlessly clean, including a large bathroom and cloakroom. Really, we couldn't have asked for more. I whole-heartedly recommend this venue!

It's family-owned and operated and an intimate team, but they made everything seamless for me. The venue is situated along the Skykomish River with views of Mt Index and of course, the stunning rustic bridge! Such a beautiful focal point. Along with having the large outdoor space for the wedding, we also got a tavern space inside that is exactly the vibe that we love. Rustic, cozy, and giving all the PNW vibes. We're super outdoorsy people so this venue was overall THE perfect fit for us. Another huge bonus is that they don't require you to use preferred vendors like most venues do. We were able to bring in whatever food we wanted (we catered a taco bar) which makes it so much easier to customize for yourself and your day. The River House was also a huge help with the alcohol arrangements, from getting all of it directly delivered to setting us up with a bartending team for the wedding. Even on a gloomy Washington day (thank godddd the rain stayed away!!) this was the most beautiful setting for our day. Chat with the farmers who stop buy nearly daily to tend to things they will give you farm fresh eggs even take you on a hay ride. I got to drive the tractor...felt like a kid again! It's a wonderful place to swim and relax and see our neighborhood friends at the lake. Some new staff over the past few years have soured the experience some and it's simply heartbreaking. At $400/year with an additional $365 fee (for a repair that has yet to happen) you'd think that they'd be kinder to members: willing ask questions to find out more information, give members the benefit of the doubt or simply just speak to them kindly. But no, several times these new staff members have been aggressive, combative and simply unkind. Especially so to my teenager, a rule following card carrying member. Every time she comes by, she gets yelled at and told that she's not following the rules, which seem to change from person to person, day to day. It's just too bad when something you've adored for so long and was once a place of peace is now a place where entitled staff consistently find new ways to be less than kind to their customers.
