After a long wait, I finally received a response on October 29 apologizing for the delay and confirming my date was available. They asked me to schedule a call through their portal to discuss details, which I did for November 4. Unfortunately, they did not show up for the call. They eventually connected with me later that day, and I sent inspiration photos to help with planning. After that, I heard nothing until January 16, 2026, when Katie messaged me asking if I had seen her proposal. She apologized for the lack of follow-up and said she would resend it if needed. I informed her that I had not received the proposal in my spam or portal, and she promised to resend it the next day. However, by January 17, I still had not received anything. I followed up again on March 1, 2026, hoping for some progress. Despite the ongoing communication issues, I was drawn to their work because of the beautiful photos and event space they showcased on Instagram. I really wanted to use their services. On March 2, I finally received a response from Stephen, who explained Katie was attending a conference but assured me I would get the proposal within a few days, no later than the end of that week. Now, 20 days later, I have received no proposal and no further follow-up. I am left with no choice but to look elsewhere. If I could give zero stars, I would. I cannot comment on their food or event space because I was never able to utilize their services. I want to support local small businesses, but this experience has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

She sent us an invoice the day before the wedding and charged us 30% over our initial contract and said the payment needed to be completed before wedding day setup. During the wedding, she handled and broke one of our décor items (worth $300) and did not tell us about it until I inquired about it the day after the wedding - she also refused to compensate us for the item. She was responsible for coordinating with our venue for setup and there were not enough chairs for our guests during the ceremony and our head table was also one seat short. Finally, after giving her feedback about our experience, she stated extra charges and labor were on the invoice due to my "indecision" and she asked us not to post a negative review in exchange for her refunding us $300 (less than a 1/3 of her additional, day-before invoice). She was never asked to put in additional hours and took it upon herself to draft a seating chart two months before the wedding when we had no idea what our actual guest count would be. While there were pieces of the wedding that went smoothly, Kaeli lacked the professionalism and communication needed to make this a positive experience. Needless to say, we did not accept her offer and wanted to post this in hopes of preventing anything like this from happening again - we would never want anyone to go through what we went through.

STAY AWAY!!!!  The owner of this company is a joke.  I initially reached out to Kaeli on a Saturday…read moreby phone, which was the contact information listed on the website.  I caught her at a bad time, as she informed me she was heading out the door to a baby shower (no big deal, people have lives, it was a weekend).  Even so, she did take the time to briefly discuss services offered and asked a few questions regarding venue, timeline, etc, and asked me to send a follow up email including those details, which I did minutes after ending the call.  After a week, I still had not received a reply, so I re-sent the email.  Eventually, we received an email from Christina asking us to complete an online questionnaire asking all of the same information already provided in the 2 emails previously sent.  But whatever, we did it anyway.  Finally, Kaeli then reached out to set up a call to discuss things at length.  The discussion was productive, we expressed interest in moving forward and felt very positive about everything.  She said she'd send a proposal via email within 5-7 days.  3 weeks later we hadn't received any correspondence from Kaeli or anyone from the office.  We then sent another follow up email asking when we can expect said proposal to which she replied she would send if we were interested in moving forward.  She also said she hadn't gotten around to it because of the holidays.  Mind you, we had our call with her 2 weeks before thanksgiving.  At this point we became very frustrated and disappointed as it became quite clear this arrangement was not going to work.  This lady has an excuse for everything.  She is a wedding planner in name only because she certainly lacks the requisite credentials and ability to be taken seriously.  Kaeli, I strongly recommend you leave it to the professionals.

Rabbit Hole is one of those spots. Down the same little alley way as Circ Bar, this underground bar is tucked away, stone hallways and open up and lead to different openings that provide seating, a dance floor and an amazingly stocked bar. If you like bourbon you will love this spot. Our bartender was fantastic, absolutely worked with me on working out a drink. I know I took a pic of an espresso martini, but my drink was made perfect also. Another nice surprise was that it wasn't some crazy price on the drink (I mean any crazier than other places and quite cheaper than around my home), especially for Ann Arbor. Walking away from the bar is a dance floor, and surrounding it are booths in a separate rooms and tables on a level up from the dance floor. There are also two hallways that lead to more booths and tables in different areas of the bar. As you can imagine this is a huge place. Most of their drinks looked on the sweeter side even the bartender mentioned. For my second I just ordered a glass of bubbly. It was also on the sweeter side but an improvement. For the prices, I really don't want to have to get up, find my way back to the bar to order my drink, then walk back to my seat avoiding the people and trying not to spill.
