She's so talented and works with you. I loved simplicity and when vendors tried to push me to do more extravagant she stood up for me and told them that's not what she wants. If there was any problems days before the wedding she'd make sure to fix it before stressing me out. I was really busy with work at the time and she made the planning process stress free. No matter day and time if I had any questions she'd answer me. My in laws and their family and friends came from Canada and they still talk about how beautiful everything was that day. Now she's going to help me plan my baby shower and I can't wait to work with EOE again to see the wonderful ideas she comes up with!

I really felt like they knew what they were doing and gave us the attention we needed, even for our basic recorded meeting. Their studio is very nice and so conveniently located with plenty of gated parking. We were very comfortable working with them. The only downside is that they were a little slow to respond at times, and needed reminding about some particulars that we discussed, but they also stepped in at the end when we needed some very last-minute changes and handled that for us quickly. I would definitely recommend them and will work with them again for sure.

Like the picture I posted says - Wayne is the best!…read more I got married October 2014, and amongst the wedding planning tasks, I had to find someone to marry us. My Mom had recommended someone she knew of, but our schedules didn't work out and I got somewhat of a bad vibe so I crossed him off the list. I took to "The Knot" and started looking at their vendor list for Officiants. I called 2-3 places and they all told me the same thing - $400+ for their services. Seriously? The ceremony will be all of 15 min, why so expensive??? I learned two things: 1) I'm in the wrong profession and 2) I needed to find someone more affordable and reasonable. Since I was striking out on The Knot, I went old school - yellow pages! I know...why didn't I just look at Yelp? Who knows! I think I was just getting discouraged and frustrated. Anyways. The yellow pages turned up Dream Wedding Ceremonies. There really wasn't a whole lot to choose from honestly. I called & he answered. Talking to Wayne made me feel like I was talking to my Uncle Johnny in Dallas. I felt so comfortable and at ease with him. His personality & character definitely came thru in our phone call and I knew this is the type of person I'd want to officiate our wedding. I've said how I think he's great, but here's why - he's thorough. Where are you getting married? When are you getting married? Oh you live in this county, well this is where you wanna go to get your marriage license. Don't get your marriage license too early cause it's only good for 30 days - 2 wks at the earliest is when you should get it. He tells you not to worry about anything, and if you have any questions at all to give him a call. He's great at communicating and I never felt like there was a lack thereof. Which is super important when you're a bride-to-be because everything worries & stresses you! Another thing that sets Wayne apart from other officiants is he doesn't require a contract. That made me a little nervous, so I sent him the payment in advance to ensure there was some kind of exchange. And as far as payment goes - he tells you he doesn't collect until the event date cause he doesn't want you to have to worry about it. Who does that?! After the ceremony, he takes the completed marriage license and takes care of filing it for you. See? He's really a great guy and I wish there were more people like him in the world. He's honest, trustworthy, helpful, friendly, caring, and fantastic at what he does! And if all this isn't great enough - he's affordable! If you're getting married and need an officiant, do yourself a huge favor and give him a call.

I can't even begin to tell you all the compliments we got on the pictures!! While we had SOME posed pictures, most of them were "in the moment" - this was important for us because my husband isn't a great "posed picture" kinda guy....and you would have NEVER known otherwise when we got them back. ...and the WEDDING! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing those pictures turned out! (not to mention knowing there was NOTHING to worry about the day of!!) I felt completely at ease knowing how those were going to turn out (I am sure you have heard horror stories from other brides about how the pictures weren't what they had hoped/expected/wanted). I learned about Harthen Studios 3 years ago...they shot my best friends wedding (I LOVED the work!)....and while this sounds completely cliche, I met my husband at that wedding...then when it came time to chose my photographer, there was no question. I would recommend this photographer in a heartbeat, and I know I will use them in the future for family pictures!

Because we did not want people driving we had rooms at the Hampton Inn and Suites off I -75 - We rented the vans to pick us up and take us back to hotel. I highly recommend it! Props to Alice - She recommend RedSTar Entertainment for DJ services- They were also great and accommodating. For any one thinking of a winter wedding on the Detroit River- DO IT. She was extremely personable and professional throughout the entire process. I had a guest go out of their way on my wedding day to tell me I hired a great photographer! She was never intrusive, took care of all the poses, and did exactly what we asked her to. She also charged fair prices that provide an excellent value compared with others in the area. I looked at many portfolios before I hired someone and hers was by far the best. Our photographs however turned out beautiful and look like we paid much much more. There was nothing cheap about them! I highly recommend you take a look at her stunning portfolio and meet her in person. Our photographs totally lived up to all our expectations. I had thought about not hiring a photographer and taking the DIY route but now Lynette's beautiful photos are what I have left to remember my whirlwind day so I am so glad I hired Lynette instead.
