She is so much fun to work with, and knows so much about weddings in general, that she is not only an amazing photographer and artist, but also a fantastic resource! She took so many pictures and had so many amazing and creative ideas on the fly, as well as just being fun! After she packed up for the night, she joined us on the dance floor for a dance which was just so fun, too! We got our pictures less than a week after the wedding, which is an amazing turnaround, and they look wonderful! We also really liked that we own the photos, and can do whatever we want with them, just need to give Marci credit, which she totally deserves! We especially loved that we didn't just get photos of us and our party, but she got at least a couple pictures (and good ones) of every single guest. Marci is an amazing photographer and person and we are so happy to have had her there for our special day! She truly captured the spirit of the day, and we will have so many wonderful memories that we can look back on with joy for years to come because of her talent! Thanks so much for helping make our wedding memorable, Marci!

Abben and Lily are not only incredibly talented photographers, but they are all around kind, fun,…read morewarm souls who were extremely flexible when the weather rained (pun intended) on our engagement photoshoot plans three times. They were very accommodating each time we got rained out with picking out a new date. They went the extra mile in the planning stage, from scouting out a potential photoshoot site ahead of time, to suggesting times when our photo shoot location (the Arb) would be less crowded, to helping brainstorm ideas to make the photoshoot unique to us. My fiance and I are not big PDA people and were feeling a bit awkward and nervous about doing a photoshoot in a public space, but from the start, Abben and Lily made us feel comfortable. Day of, they helped directed us in natural-looking poses and providing fun suggestions that had us laughing, which made for some wonderful pictures and good memories behind those photos. Abben and Lily both have a fabulous artistic eye for photo composition, and they truly listen and integrate your goals for the photoshoot. They make the photoshoot unique to you. After the shoot, their downloading interface is extremely easy to use, and they are prompt in their photo delivery (ours were delivered in little over two weeks). In terms, of price, they are a true steal for the high quality work they do! We are so happy and feel very blessed to have had Abben and Lily document these memories for us, and would have hired them to do our wedding too if it were taking place in Michigan. These two are gifted artists, and we heartily recommend them to everyone!

Full disclosure, the "Abben" of this photography duo happens to be my talented brother. But know…read morethat with his attention to detail, his knowledge of DSLRs, and his eye for aesthetics, I would be giving this business a 5-star rating after my session with him even if he had been hired as a stranger. So Abben, my fiance at the time to whom I was newly engaged, and I all happened to live in different states - which made scheduling an engagement photoshoot difficult. So what better time than a shoot on the sandy beaches of the Dominican Republic while on a family vacation? To avoid unflattering shadows, the best times for a shoot are sunrise or sunset, and sunrise is definitely easier to have the beach of a resort all to yourself. But alas, cloudy weather for the only two mornings we had free! Abben not only woke up at 4:00 two mornings in a row with us but dealt with the tricky situation like a champ. After processing the photos, we were really impressed with the adjustments he had made. And speaking of editing, let's just say a long bike ride and insufficient sunscreen led to some awkward tan lines all over my back and shoulders that he also magically erased like a pro. Note that even though Lily wasn't able to be there for our shoot, normally both photographers would be present for double the awesomeness. That makes their pricing an amazing deal because most photographers would charge extra for another camera. Abben & Lily's style tends to be more posed for something like a photoshoot but more photojournalistic for an event. This is helpful for those who aren't trained models (most people) or maybe even hate being in front of a camera because you'll receive great instructions so you feel less awkward. And for an event, they'll blend into the background but still get all the pics you need. Look through the portfolio for these two and you'll see that they pour their hearts plus all their creative juices into their work. The only reason we didn't go with them for our wedding photography was that Abben was in the wedding party, and I wanted him to enjoy himself at the wedding. Otherwise, I couldn't recommend these two more!

I met Rosy through a friend and when I was looking for amazing photographers for my daughter's 1st birthday, our mutual friend recommended her. I booked the shoot during a blizzard but Rosy was there and excited to do our shoot. Her studio gives off a fun, retro vibe and exudes Rosy's crisp, clean photography style. My daughter was TERRIBLE during this 30 minute shoot. I thought the pictures would come out blurry due to her all-out craziness but when I got the proofs I was blown away. Rosy not only managed to capture beautiful pictures of my baby girl, but pictures that capture her personality. I don't know how she worked her magic to get these amazing shots but she moved around with my daughter and honored the craziness that comes with a toddler, which I was so grateful for. I have most recently done a family photo shoot that also included a few engagement pictures at the DIA. Rosy knew exactly what style I was going for and knew where to take us to get the best shots. We now have a 1 year old and a 4 year old but she again managed to snap the perfect shots between toddler melt downs and run offs. We selected one of the hottest and humid days of May but our pictures are nothing short of magazine worthy and again, capture our family's personality and bond. She is simply amazing at what she does and adds a sense of calmness that is appreciated when you are preoccupied with perfectly capturing your most important life moments.

With my fiance living several thousand miles away, we had set up a week and a half of all-wedding madness with appointments around the clock including one with Silver Lights Studio who had been recommended to us by some friends. Setting up the appointment was easy. Rosy and Shaun are located quite a while away from us in Allen Park but we arrived to a cute studio with vintage touches and bright accents - it's a happy place. We discussed our needs, our expectations, pricing and everything included in their packages. I'll be the first one admit that I am not an easy person to please but impressing my Dad is even more than a challenge. He's extremely quiet and doesn't seem to express his opinion but he liked their drive and their creativity, the brightness of the colors and their all around-fun attitude. Their albums are of high quality, their hourly rates are fair and they're okay with shooting outside of their 'quirky fun' style - they're flexible and open to ideas. After weighing our options, we signed on the dotted line. We took our engagement photos with them a few weeks ago at the DIA which is of particular interest to me. We took photos outside and inside and both Rosy and Shaun came along with plenty of ideas for our shoot (which we were happy to give a 'yay' or 'nay' to) and the open-mindedness to take a few photos in areas we had in mind (like in front of the Diego Rivera mural which is a personal favorite of mine). Although we were somewhat stiff at times they made us feel relaxed and open and we ended up having a lot of fun. They're a new studio and always so busy with clients but they take the time to address my concerns, answer my questions and take notes on my ideas even though my wedding is next year. We can't wait for them to shoot our wedding next year - I'll be sure to report back!

First, they arrived wearing our wedding colors, which speaks to their attention to detail! Immediately I was at ease with them, and by the end of the evening it felt more like they were friends than hired photographers. I was sad to see them leave! We did many of the wedding party and family photos before the ceremony, which I highly recommend if you intend to enjoy your reception. As we were planning the pre-ceremony photo session my husband was concerned that the 'first look' photos would feel hooky - as it was Tim and Sandy put him at ease and it was a very special experience for him. Throughout the evening, Sandy was like a bridesmaid, best friend and outside observer rolled into one - she helped me with wardrobe tape when I was dressing, chased me around with bobby pins toward the end of the evening when my hair started to fall, and with Tim's help kept order in the sweetest way as we attempted to get through our shot list. By the end of the night we had photos will all our guests without feeling as if even a fraction of the night was spent posing for the camera. I am so excited to see our photos - Sandy and Tim were so creative (while still being down to earth) that I have no doubt we'll find at least a few to treasure always.
