My husband and I visited this beautiful flower shop to make bouquets together. We met a lovely instructor named Lily. She showed us step by step on how to create the perfect bouquet. We got in line to grab our desired flowers and greenery. I tried my best to make a beautiful bouquet. I even asked Lily for help as well. She came over and looked at mine and helped suggest where to put the white filler piece. She told me I did a great job. Wrapping it up was super fun too. My husband decided to make a bouquet as well. He did amazing, considering he is color blind. The best part is we decided to have him make one so he could give it to my neighbor. We really wanted to give her something special to let her know we were thinking about her. We had such an amazing time together. We will definitely consider this company for our flowers in the future. Especially because 25% of their profit goes to charity. They have donated $1 million to charity so far! AMAZING!!
Place: This place is literally a hidden gem. For my bucket list I have always wanted to arrange flowers and make a bouquet. This is such a fun activity to do in the city. The ambience is so clean and fresh! So interior and the entrance is so aesthetically pleasing. A big space to arrange Service: The service is top knot and the staff are super friendly and are knowledgeable on each flower and how to arrange it to the flowers/colors won't clash. Great for yourself or as a gift. Looking at the other services they do weddings and events. I definetely save this for future events :) Audience: Solo Trip [X] 21+ [ ] Family Friendly [X] Friends [X] Date Spot [X] Recommendations/tips: I highly recommend this place and plan to come again! A lot of people compliment the flowers in my kitchen when they come in! :)
Great place to get flowers for any occasion. The staff is friendly and will work with you on what your wants and needs are. They have a design team on staff that are super friendly and helpful. 25% of their profits go back to various charities, how cool is that!
This place is awesome! I came here for a Yelp Elite event. I was able to learn about designing flower bouquets and create my own bouquet! The flowers are beautiful! Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The space is very urban with great decor. Thanks for having us!
Came here for a yelp event to make our our bouquet! It was a great experience the staff was helpful and enthusiastic about the business. We made beautiful summer bouquets with local flowers, which was my favorite part!
Such a wonderful store and my go-to florist. I was able to participate in one of their classes (virtually) on wreath-making during the last holiday season and it was SO GOOD! They gave you so many fresh & preserved ingredients, shipped all so wonderfully, in such a large box, with all the additional supplies and tools you might need, and walked us through how to make a wreath. I was SO happy with how my turned out under their instruction and tutelage! I would highly recommend all classes with them! Also, I have given and received flowers from friends a la Flowers for Dreams on several occasions and they are always the best flowers. They come wrapped so perfectly and beautifully, are completely stunning regardless of which bouquet you pick, they are always above and beyond anything I can find anywhere else, and they always end up being the ones that last the longest despite me treating all the flower bouquets in the same way!
Two dear friends of mine recently got engaged and my husband and I wanted to send them congratulatory flowers to celebrate this big moment. After reviewing options on Yelp, i came across Flowers for Dreams which had all five star reviews. We decided to give them a try and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly and accurately the florist recreated the spring arrangement and executed the delivery. We had placed the order the night before and they delivered it by noon the next day. Also free delivery to their zip code! Amazing! My friends were absolutely floored and amazed by the flowers. I would highly recommend this florist for your Detroit floral needs. Thumbs up!
After emailing customer service back they offered to refill make or refund my arrangement. I excepted one of the offers and they quickly proceeded it. I appreciate them taking the time to address the issue and would give them another shot now knowing they are trying their best to make the customer experiance a good one .
Whats not to like about gorgeous flowers that contribute to making the world a more just and peaceful place? I really enjoyed the bouquet making workshop I attended, and my flowers are still looking beautiful. They have a nice little space with tables out front and I hear there's a coffee shop opening next door, so I could envision a very pleasant morning spent there. You can park right out front on the street, or wander over from eastern market. I'd highly recommend coming here!
I recently attended an event at Flowers For Dreams and was able to experience first-hand what this business is all about. All I can say is WOW! - Their generosity and friendliness goes above beyond what I look for in a business. I was so impressed with their beautiful space, quality flowers & talented and helpful staff. Mostly importantly, their vision for giving back to the community sets them apart. This is a business that you can feel really good about supporting. Not only is their product top notch, but their practices prioritize quality, community and inclusion. They are constantly giving back to the community with 25% of profits going to local charities. I will definitely call on FFD for future flower needs and will gladly recommend them to others!

Flowers for Dreams was an absolute amazing experience! I directed a youth theater over the summer and the Detroit location donated 20 micro bouquets to the performers. The bouquets were beautiful, each in burlap containing a robust assortment of foliage and flowers. Truly a wonderful business and active in our local community. Thank you so much to Madison! read more

I found this lovely flower shop while visiting Detroit. I wanted to have flowers delivered to my niece (who lives in Berkley MI) and asked about that. The women showed me their website and recommended I order via that. The website is great and it was easy to order. The flowers arrived as scheduled today and they are gorgeous!! What an amazing bouquet. I will definitely be using them to order all of my flowers for my Detroit area family! read more

This is a lovely flower shop located in an historic building in Eastern Market. The staff is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was fortunate enough to have seen a demonstration on flower arrangement by Lily, one of their lead designers. You can rest assured that whether you order a bride's bouquet, flowers for a reception or event, or just a lovely bouquet for someone you hold close to your heart, the arrangement will be full of fresh flowers expertly arranged with care. Thank you Flowers for Dreams for the beautiful heart of your business. Not many businesses can say that they donate 25% of all profit to local charities, AND the staff members donate some of their time volunteering for these charities. How beautiful knowing that, not only do customers get to share their love and/or care for someone by buying them a gorgeous bouquet, but they are also helping others with their purchases. I highly recommend this wonderful business. read more
In celebration of Yelp's Sweet 16, I was chosen to receive a free bouquet of flowers from the Flowers for Dreams Mobile Truck. I picked up my gorgeous flowers on Cadillac Square near Campus Martius Park. I was assisted by Betty who showed me the variety of bouquets to choose from. She also informed me about the brick and mortar location nearby on Farmer street. It was a wonderful experience to receive a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers wrapped in an adorable burlap sack. I didn't know that Flowers for Dreams existed but look forward to shopping here in the future. read more

Update to original post. I was contacted by Korynn within a week after my negative review. She said that my comments left on their website were "accidentally filtered to the wrong folder". They sent a replacement bouquet, but unfortunately, it wasn't much better than the first. It was still fastened to the box (upon arrival) this time, but again, the flowers arrived bruised and broken. IMO, if you want to send someone quality flowers, that have a good vase life, this is not the place. These bouquets, in no way, compare to what you would buy at a traditional flower shop. The longest stem was 9". That's not even long enough to allow a fresh cut. If you care more about presentation and packaging, they do quite well at that. read more

Flowers For Dreams offers beautiful seasonal bouquets or you can order a custom arrangement. I have had the opportunity to visit both the Shinola Alley location and the Eastern Market District location. The Eastern Market location is a much larger space that gives an opportunity for holding workshops and other events. The staff was friendly, eager to help, and took pride in their work. An important thing to note is that Flowers For Dreams donates a portion of proceeds to various local charities. Different charities are chosen every quarter and 25% of proceeds are donated. Flowers For Dreams has given to organizations that support the homeless, LGBTQ+, human rights, reproductive rights, mental health and more! You will never wonder where they stand on serious matters as they use their platform on social media to speak up and bring awareness. I feel confident knowing I can support a business who also supports the local community it is part of. Whether you want a bouquet for yourself or for sending to loved ones, I highly suggest supporting Flowers For Dreams! read more

The very first time I visited this place I fell in love! They have a wide variety of bouquets that are in season & reasonably priced. I went to buy my sister a bouquet of flowers for her birthday and was in and out in no time. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable as well. 10/10 would recommend! read more

The staff alone are remarkable and extremely kind. You can tell they care and are passionate about their job so whether you use them for an event like a wedding or just need an arrangement, they'll take good care of your needs! The space is beautiful and the florals are even better. What sets them apart is that they give a portion of their proceeds to charity, the event I was at last night they said they have officially hit 1 million proceeds for their charity which is amazing! I will definitely return! read more
Flowers For Dreams offers the charm of a local small town flower shop but is doing big things with their beautiful arrangements and donates a portion of the profits to charity. I love to support companies with a mission larger than themselves. This Eastern Market Studio location is much bigger than the Shinola alley location and I am so happy to see them growing here in Detroit. The flowers are beautiful and bouquets start at $45. For the metro Detroit area, expect delivery to be around $15. However, if you get the chance, I highly recommend picking up your order and stopping by because the studio is cool with an industrial urban feel in Historic Detroit. For bouquets they have pre-designed seasonal bouquets or you can request a custom bouquet. There are lots of containers to choose from or you can simply have it wrapped in burlap with a cute tag. There are T-shirts, tote bags and other merch you can buy to support their mission. The staff are friendly and you can tell they take pride in what they do. They also offer floral services for weddings. I know when most people think flowers and hear Eastern Market they think of the sheds, this Gratiot Road location is in the Eastern Market district but not at THE Eastern Market. Just be sure to set your GPS if you're unfamiliar. When you get there, street parking is available in front or there is a dirt lot behind the building. read more

Visited today for a yelp event and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We were taught how to make our own beautiful bouquet. I recently attended this location for an event and had an AMAZING time, the space is open, minimalistic, and in a histogram building with high ceilings. Staff is super knowledgeable about bouquet building and the selection of flowers sourced from Midwestern Farmers. I also really liked the fact that 25% of proceeds are donated to local charities. Definitely will be returning! read more

What can I say about how incredible Betty and her team are that hasn't already been celebrated? I had so many interviews with floral companies for our wedding and when we had our video consultation with Betty, we both immediately knew we wanted her to do the arrangements for our wedding. She was so kind, passionate about our vision and excited to work with us. I sent her our lookbook and literally she was like, "say no more." Betty sent us a dream of a stylized floral lookbook for our wedding. COVID-19 delayed our original plans and we had to scale down to a very intimate ceremony. Betty worked with us--patience, care, creativity and love. We felt it all. When I say our day was the most magical on the planet? I MEAN IT. #313forever. We couldn't have done it without Betty and Flowers For Dreams. We love you, Betty! Thank you so much for being with us every step of the way!!! read more

it was definitely not as it was expected to be. The arrangement in the image provided seemed to have more flowers than greenery, which in my arrangement was not the case. The flowers lacked color, especially in the purple looking flowers that were supposed to be pinkish and having one orange flower in the middle that throws off the whole bouquet. Unfortunately for the price, this arrangement was not to the standard it should have been which we were very disappointed with. read more
