I absolutely love her stylistic vision and her promise to always stay authentic to a couple's story. She listened thoughtfully to our ideas and helped us create a classic and timeless design that still incorporated fun and unique details that made our day feel truly like an expression of ourselves and our love for one another. I really enjoyed her planning cadence, meeting more frequently as the date got closer, and her timeline + checklists were an incredible reference to keep us organized and on pace. When it came to the actual wedding day, Jeannene's preparation was unmatched! She made sure to think of everything and was always about 10 steps ahead of us and our wedding party. She made sure we had the smoothest day possible, and she helped to see that the transitions from one moment to the next were absolutely seamless. She provided a steadying presence during the day, and we are so thankful for all that she and her team did for us. We couldn't have had such a perfect day if it wasn't for the help of Jeannene and her team!

She checked in with us along the way, gave us lists of things we had totally missed, and helped us create an amazingly unique and complex experience for our guests :]. While the venue (Riviera Mansion) was fantastic, the processions and events would not have run smoothly without Amy! She made agendas and gave them to most of our vendors and friends to keep the show running smoothly. Amy troubleshooted issues quickly. From start to finish, throughout our wedding planning process, Amy and her team exceeded our expectations. In the months leading up, Amy checked in via email, and we had a few video meetings to go over necessary details. Amy is so personable and friendly! Every chat felt like a conversation with an old friend -- yet she demonstrated the utmost professionalism. As far as tasks go, Amy is proactive, extremely detail-oriented, and always seems to be one step ahead. With my busy schedule, this is something that I really appreciated. During my wedding week, I met Amy's team, and they were just as awesome! Our day-of coordinator, Jenni-Elise, was an absolute godsend!!! Her and her assistant, Tori, did an amazing job of making sure that everything ran smoothly, and that every detail was taken care of. Of course, there were a few random mishaps (example: we were short 3 floral arrangements), but Jenni and Tori handled everything and made sure that I had nothing to worry about on my big day. Plus, they were such a blast to hang out with!! I am SO grateful that they were there with me on the most important day of my life! It has the…read moreperfect elevated, cozy, rustic feel, with the most beautiful construction, lighting, and design details throughout. Every space feels intentional and special, and the venue offers multiple areas to explore and host different parts of the event while still flowing together seamlessly. Kelly and Ed have done an amazing job building The Valley into the ultimate wedding venue. They are a true well-oiled wedding machine -- they know the ins and outs of weddings, provide expert guidance, and have an incredibly professional staff that makes the large task of wedding planning feel so much simpler. Their organization and experience made everything easier from start to finish. The location is also wonderful: just 10-15 minutes outside of Ann Arbor and close enough to a major airport to make travel easy for out-of-town guests. My now-husband and I would not have had our wedding anywhere else. Our wedding day truly felt like a dream, and we could not be more grateful.

The main dinner took place in a large tent, which kept the light rain off us but still let us enjoy the cool evening breezes. Staff at the bar were very friendly and accommodating. After dinner the rain had stopped and some went up to the barn to dance, others went to chill in a small shed very comfortably appointed with cushy couches and chairs; we hit the boogie barn for another glass of wine, then strolled down to the campfire on the shore of the small pond. A waterside gazebo was nearby if you wanted some shelter. My main quibble came as we were walking out. There are no lights in the parking area and it was a little difficult to find the row we'd parked in. As well lit as the area around the buildings was, couldn't one light be put in the parking area? Still, a very pleasant night, and I'd be happy to return.

I had very high hopes working with Kaeli, but I unfortunately would not recommend her based on our…read moreday-of experience. She sent us an invoice the day before the wedding and charged us 30% over our initial contract and said the payment needed to be completed before wedding day setup. During the wedding, she handled and broke one of our décor items (worth $300) and did not tell us about it until I inquired about it the day after the wedding - she also refused to compensate us for the item. She was responsible for coordinating with our venue for setup and there were not enough chairs for our guests during the ceremony and our head table was also one seat short. Finally, after giving her feedback about our experience, she stated extra charges and labor were on the invoice due to my "indecision" and she asked us not to post a negative review in exchange for her refunding us $300 (less than a 1/3 of her additional, day-before invoice). She was never asked to put in additional hours and took it upon herself to draft a seating chart two months before the wedding when we had no idea what our actual guest count would be. While there were pieces of the wedding that went smoothly, Kaeli lacked the professionalism and communication needed to make this a positive experience. Needless to say, we did not accept her offer and wanted to post this in hopes of preventing anything like this from happening again - we would never want anyone to go through what we went through.

STAY AWAY!!!!  The owner of this company is a joke.  I initially reached out to Kaeli on a Saturday…read moreby phone, which was the contact information listed on the website.  I caught her at a bad time, as she informed me she was heading out the door to a baby shower (no big deal, people have lives, it was a weekend).  Even so, she did take the time to briefly discuss services offered and asked a few questions regarding venue, timeline, etc, and asked me to send a follow up email including those details, which I did minutes after ending the call.  After a week, I still had not received a reply, so I re-sent the email.  Eventually, we received an email from Christina asking us to complete an online questionnaire asking all of the same information already provided in the 2 emails previously sent.  But whatever, we did it anyway.  Finally, Kaeli then reached out to set up a call to discuss things at length.  The discussion was productive, we expressed interest in moving forward and felt very positive about everything.  She said she'd send a proposal via email within 5-7 days.  3 weeks later we hadn't received any correspondence from Kaeli or anyone from the office.  We then sent another follow up email asking when we can expect said proposal to which she replied she would send if we were interested in moving forward.  She also said she hadn't gotten around to it because of the holidays.  Mind you, we had our call with her 2 weeks before thanksgiving.  At this point we became very frustrated and disappointed as it became quite clear this arrangement was not going to work.  This lady has an excuse for everything.  She is a wedding planner in name only because she certainly lacks the requisite credentials and ability to be taken seriously.  Kaeli, I strongly recommend you leave it to the professionals.
