I went to Zigrida Spa in the Bronx in need of a over due 1hr massage. The masseuse Rita started at 11:11am she said I'm finished at 11:54am. I said isn't it 1hr and her reply was we give you time to relax. I said I didn't need 17 mins to relax. Than she did alittle more and said that was it. I wasn't satisfied with the service, and she never wiped the oil off of me. I called the spa when I reached home and Diane said no place gives a hour because they give you time to prep yourself. I've never been to a spa that take prep time from your service. I'm not knocking the place but ask questions first. Bottom line I wasn't satisfied. read more

I visited this spa on my birthday for a 60 minute facial and 60 minute massage. I purchased an great deal on Groupon. The spa is nice and small. The massage was relaxing and Rita did an AMAZING job massaging my neck and head. My facial was simple and was definitely not 60 minutes (more like 30). Also, be advised that the facial does not include extractions (you will be charged an additional $40 for that). Overall it was decent and I loved the LED light which gave my face a beautiful glow. I was interested in a 1 hour massage and a 1 hour facial. I attempted to call, text, leave a voicemail for Zigrida's Spa for over a week to get an appointment with no response. I even visited the location 3 times over 2 different days, ringing the bell by the door with no answer. The ironic part is tbe sign in the front window with "Walk-ins Welcome" on it in chalk. This place very obviously does not have enough staff to run it efficiently and only added to my stress level instead of detracting from it, as a spa should. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

My wife scheduled a massage for me here, walking distance from our house and it did not disappoint. Very professional, clean and calm atmosphere. The massage itself was amazing. The best spray tan I have ever received. She took her time and paid attention to every detail to ensure my tan would be perfection! I highly recommend and will be a regular here. Amazingggggggg customized spray tan with Diana!! I went before a trip to Miami. The color was so bronze, even and beautiful! I got so many compliments, no one knew it was spray tan because it looked so natural and sun kissed. I had no evidence on my hands or feet like I normally got in the past from unprofessional spray booths . I can not wait to go back. I was very pleased with my experience at the Zigrida spa. I purchased a Groupon deal for a one hour Swedish massage. The place was clean and tidy. The rooms were small but nicely lit, warm, and the aroma smells and music were great. The staff was friendly and professional. The massage took the entire hour and was a blend of Swedish and deep tissue, which is what I needed. I would definitely visit this spa again and try other treatments. read more

I've been trying to find a regular facial spa for over 3 years now. The few I did try were such a disappointment. And they were all located too far to make sure I went regularly. So when I found out this spa was only 5 mins away from me I jumped on the chance to try it out. I called in same day for a facial. My face was in desperate need! The owner who personally provides the facials scheduled me in same day. I arrived on time, greeted and worked on right away. She took her time told me what she noticed and gave me tips on my acne skincare. Her prices are so reasonable that I will be able to make sure I get a facial monthly. I was excited to spend my birthday at this spa but it was not what I expected. I had purchased a groupon for an hour long hammam bath, and an hour long swedish massage. The massage was excellent but only lasted 30 minutes. The services entailed in the description for the hammam was a steam bath with Moroccan Beldi with Black Moroccan Olive Oil Soap and Body Exfoliation with Organic Argan oils, a bubble cleansing, aromatherapy, a paraffin treatment, complimentary beverage, & a $25 credit for next visit. Instead I was scrubbed with a generic lavender scrub, and then profusely sprayed in a victorias secret body spray that induced my asthma and refuses to leave my skin. I did not receive what was promised. It was an awkward scrub in a room with a fold out chair while you were fully nude. The woman who performed my services was very sweet and only did what was instructed. My services ended within 55 minutes and I was not late to my appt. I bought a deal from Groupon that expired around the time they were doing renovations (April). When I called to inquire about the possibilities of what could happen the receptionist booked me immediately. Yes they do take ya groupon information upfront over the phone and you have to pay tax on ya service. I paid $5. I read many reviews of disgruntled customers prior to me booking. These are the facts about my experience: you pay a tax on your groupon deal when you arrive, the salon is clean, modern, quiet, relaxing and smells great. An array of services are offered there. They are very accommodating to your needs. Ines was my masseuse. It is the most relaxing massage I have EVER received. I didn't hear a peep while being massaged. Zigirida was there when I went. She is fun/funny, bubbly and very direct, so if u are disrespectful expect backlash. I received a drink of Rose wine after the service. When i contacted Zigridas regarding scheduling an appointment for the massage voucher I had purchased from Groupon, I was informed, that for the time being, they are not offering massages. Instead, the very lovely person I spoke to offered an upgrade for a Delux Facial (I think that is what it is called). I agreed to accept the offer and I am so happy I did. Making an appointment was easy and the person answering the telephone was warm and professional. I got an appointment the next day! When I entered the space, I was created by the owner, I think her name is Zigrida, who was just bubbly, welcoming and a true delight. From the moment I entered, I felt comfortable. She personally did my facial and it was AMAZING! My face looked alive (I didn't know that it had to be awaken ) and clear. She did an amazing job and I am so pleased that I will be visiting her again. I will tell my friends.
