I love the salt lamps, wood floors, and the overall location and ambiance. I have been spray tanned here several times and I am a regular tanning client for their beds too. The customer service is always impeccable, and I feel like the staff and managers are not only super knowledgable but also take their time to make sure that people get the best advice and guidance for their skin, which lotions should be used, etc... I recently started using their LightStim LED bed as well, and I am sooo impressed with the improvement of my skin. Not only is this salon really central to everything, but I also love the camaraderie here. After a few years of being a client I have met other regulars and honestly for people to use the same tanning salon for years and years is a testimony to the fact that they aren't a revolving door. They seem to really care about your happiness here and that to me is good business. I actually cannot believe I haven't written a rave review until now because they are one of those businesses that you naturally share and talk up to other people. (*Side note: before I went in for the first time, I checked reviews like any smart person would, it seemed (and still seems) the only bad reviews on here really are in regards to spray tanning... Sorry but these people must be idiots to put it bluntly, they clearly just don't know how to pay attention to direction? I am fair skinned with freckles, and I work in TV; therefore I spray tan frequently and always look perfectly sun kissed on set with no issues whatsoever) If you want an amazing tan and overall experience, you should definitely come here! They were extremely friendly with all of our enquiries and if I did live in Manhattan or if I'm in Manhattan soon and need something tan-wise, or Barbie does, we will very strongly consider this place because of how nice they were. I was nervous about doing Friday because I was afraid of looking too fake but I couldn't do Thursday so I took a chance and did it Friday night. It turned out great. I did a light to medium and I did the express spray tanning that Gladys recommended. She mentioned it was a better quality spray and she was right. It was perfect for my wedding day and it lasted all week. I went to the Hamptons for a few days and I was so happy that I still looked a little tan and it did not get spotty as it can get when it's starting to fade. The sessions are appropriately priced. My only criticisms are I wish I could just press the start button inside the bed instead of having to wait for the lights to come on or pressing the blue button that's on the wall. It would also be convenient to be able to keep a bottle of lotion there but I get it. Space is a premium and people leave it and probably forget they left it there. Other than that it's pretty good. I haven't done the spray in this location so I can't review it. But they do offer it along with red light therapy in what looks like a giant shell.

I have already been at Gotham Glow 3x and decided to purchase a package of 6 tans (since I have…read moremany events coming up soon!). To start with my experiences so far, they have all been great. Mandy has done all my tans and she is a sweetheart. I have never had a problem with my tans and they have all been the shade I wanted and have come out even. The shade you pick stays in your file so each time you come back you can refer to it if you want to do that shade again or go lighter or darker. You need to prepare for the tan just as they recommend that you do in the instructions they send you prior to the appointment if you want this to be worth it. Also, follow the instructions on how to get to their location just as they are written. The first time I came I was confused and a bit skeptical after entering a regular building, going up an elevator, and then down an empty hall to a simple door (then again, it is exactly what they write to expect, but still!) However, after having learned the directions on how to get around the space it is fine now. A big thing is their cancelation policy (full charge if you are late or cancel within 24 hours) which I read from other reviews is a big turn-away for some. I mean, it IS extreme, but that's what it is. I always factor in extra time when traveling to my appointments and like to give myself an extra 45 minutes- 1 hour just in case (it's the city so who knows what traffic jam you can get into). I do not expect to be seen early when I arrive and one time did have to wait until my scheduled appointment time, however got lucky during my last visit and was able to tan earlier. The salon provides scrunchies, shower caps, and wipes, if you need any of the products for the tan. Going back to the package of 6 tans that I purchased, the receptionist informed me that I can leave a tip for all 6 tans in advance with my purchase right now, and it will then be applied to each tan during my future visits. For me this was a very convenient feature and now I do not need to think about payments during my next visits, as they are already prepaid with tip as well!

Within five minutes, she called me back with the name of a salon in California. They went above and beyond without knowing me. They were honest with me as to what the results would look like if I did it a week ahead of time, even if it meant losing the business. When I do decide to use a tanning salon in New York, this will be the only place I will be calling. This is old school customer service at its best!
