Within five minutes, she called me back with the name of a salon in California. They went above and beyond without knowing me. They were honest with me as to what the results would look like if I did it a week ahead of time, even if it meant losing the business. I have been a client at UES since 2024 and visit multiple times per week. My experience with most…read moreof the staff has been positive, but I want to share a serious concern about one staff member, Haley, who is also the assistant manager. In February 2026, I had a deeply uncomfortable incident with Haley while I was undressed in the tanning bed and the machine failed to start. Her response was cold, dismissive, and lacking in basic customer care and refused to even speak to me. I submitted a formal complaint via email and received a generic response from "The UEST Team" stating the matter had been handled internally. The day after my complaint, i went back the next day and Haley began pretending not to recognize me entirely, asking for my name at every visit as though I were a stranger, despite knowing me by name and waving me through without verification before the incident. This bizarre patten continued for 6-8 consecutive visits. When I finally addressed it directly with her on April 10th, she claimed she does not remember customers due to high volume, an explanation that is not credible given she recognized me well enough to admit me without checking my account on the very day the incident occurred. The repeated asking of my name is not the issue itself. The issue is the deliberate pattern of targeted treatment that began the day after I filed a formal complaint against her. In my view, this constitutes retaliation. I also want to note that I am one of the very few Asian members who visits this location regularly. I noticed another one star review from few days ago, also from an Asian woman, describing the front desk staff as rude and unprofessional. I do not believe this is a coincidence. also if the owner cares to look at the recent similar bad reviews regarding bad service, cold attitude etc, they all started when Haley started working at this location. I have attempted to escalate this directly to ownership through internal channels with no response. Given that Haley herself manages customer support emails per her own job description, I have serious doubts my complaints have ever reached the owner independently. I am sharing this publicly because private channels have not worked, and because future customers, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds at this location, deserve to know. update: ues sent me this email, without resolving issue or reaching out.

Ive had several spray tans before and know how to care for them before and after. These are my results the day following my tan, after my initial rinse with water. Blotchy, patchy. I would have been better off using self-tanner at home. I reached out to the business owner with photos and she recommended baking soda and lemon juice to address the dark areas. No offer of refund or discount. After $80+ after tip i feel that ive been robbed. If you do go here, id recommend checking your tan very carefully after and asking for help with it before you leave. So you dont end up like me - the day before a professional photo shoot for my business. With this embaressing mess on my hands.
