Mandy has done all my tans and she is a sweetheart. I have never had a problem with my tans and they have all been the shade I wanted and have come out even. The shade you pick stays in your file so each time you come back you can refer to it if you want to do that shade again or go lighter or darker. You need to prepare for the tan just as they recommend that you do in the instructions they send you prior to the appointment if you want this to be worth it. Also, follow the instructions on how to get to their location just as they are written. The first time I came I was confused and a bit skeptical after entering a regular building, going up an elevator, and then down an empty hall to a simple door (then again, it is exactly what they write to expect, but still!) However, after having learned the directions on how to get around the space it is fine now. A big thing is their cancelation policy (full charge if you are late or cancel within 24 hours) which I read from other reviews is a big turn-away for some. I mean, it IS extreme, but that's what it is. I always factor in extra time when traveling to my appointments and like to give myself an extra 45 minutes- 1 hour just in case (it's the city so who knows what traffic jam you can get into). I do not expect to be seen early when I arrive and one time did have to wait until my scheduled appointment time, however got lucky during my last visit and was able to tan earlier. The salon provides scrunchies, shower caps, and wipes, if you need any of the products for the tan. Going back to the package of 6 tans that I purchased, the receptionist informed me that I can leave a tip for all 6 tans in advance with my purchase right now, and it will then be applied to each tan during my future visits. For me this was a very convenient feature and now I do not need to think about payments during my next visits, as they are already prepaid with tip as well!

Jackie informed me that anything they do would fade considerably by the time my event came around. She said she would ask her boss for a recommendation in California and call me back. Within five minutes, she called me back with the name of a salon in California. They went above and beyond without knowing me. They were honest with me as to what the results would look like if I did it a week ahead of time, even if it meant losing the business. When I do decide to use a tanning salon in New York, this will be the only place I will be calling. This is old school customer service at its best!

My appointment was at 1:15, I arrived at 1:10, but I think the person before me started late so Natalie couldn't take me in until 1:25. Ten minute wait time is not terrible at all, but since I snuck out on my lunch - time is of the essence! The whole process took about twenty mins in total, including getting in and out of clothes. I made the mistake of thinking I can get waxing done after a couple of days, but Natalie said no - unless it's for the girl downstairs. Other than that no waxing any other body parts. I do not have the greatest body and standing butt naked in front of a stranger was almost as uncomfortable as can be imagined. But Natalie had NO wandering eyes, maintained eye contact with me the entire time. (Bless you for that) Shes very polite, it was in and out really. I took off one star because of the receptionist. Natalie said no bra after spraying, and of course I didn't have a bag on me. So I went out of the room holding onto my bra....I asked the girl in front for a bag and she looked like she was not having it. (LOL) I then paid and then she tried to sell me a package.. 5 for $495 or 1 for $69.. (I might've heard wrong and I hope I did) because 5 single times is $345 so I'm not sure how the 5 for $495 would be a "package deal" exactly. And when she said bye, she looked like she was grieving for someones death. (my condolences if you really were) The girl she was training smiled and greeted me bye. LOL if you're not in the state to do customer service, maybe you should take a 5 min breather. Nonetheless, i would come back. Natalie was great. This tan looks great and super natural.

Not only is the procedure relaxing, noninvasive, and comfortable, but the difference in the quality of the skin on my face and hands is indisputable at this point. Afterward, my face is baby soft and clear...then in coming days, I find that I never have a bad skin day, a dry day, a tired day...nothing. Even at the menstrual time of the month, I always get a pimple here or there, as my hormones are probably raging...nothing at all. It's like new skin. I am 46 years old with no visible wrinkles at this stage. I enjoy wine, have been a smoker, have had late nights, and know that this will always take a toll on my skin...or will it? Up to now, my skin is still somewhat gorgeous, with no lines and even diminished lines that I already had in my 20's and I can only attribute that to my recent commitment to LED facials, as well as normal cleansing and moisturizing. My little sister ran to her appointment…read moreand arrived flushed and a little sweaty, and the technician -- I believe her name was B -- proceeded to wax half the area before suddenly stopping and telling her that she was "too sweaty" to continue and that she would need to wait 40 MINS + an additional hour if the next client showed up. For context, my sister has been getting waxed regularly for over eight years. She is athletic, healthy, and this has never happened to her before. She was not dripping in sweat or experiencing anything extreme -- she had simply rushed to make the appointment and was flushed. None of that should even matter in terms of how respectfully a client is treated, but it made the reaction feel even more disproportionate. The technician told her she would need to wait 40 minutes or longer before they could continue, in part because another client was coming in. That is where this started to feel less like a legitimate waxing concern and more like a scheduling issue that my sister was being blamed for. I could completely understand saying, "Let's give you a few minutes to cool down so the wax adheres better." But stopping halfway through a service and telling someone to wait 40+ minutes is a very different situation. I have also been getting waxed for around 10 years, including throughout hot and humid New York summers, and I have never experienced or even heard of someone being treated this way simply for being a little sweaty. Beyond the explanation making very little sense, telling a client she is "too sweaty" in that manner is incredibly rude and inappropriate. There are professional, discreet ways to address moisture without making someone feel embarrassed or ashamed of their body. The fact that half the service had already been completed before this suddenly became an issue also made me seriously question the technician's judgment and experience. If it was genuinely unsafe to wax her, why was the service started in the first place? This is also a waxing salon with fans and powder available to help keep the skin dry. What made the situation even worse was what happened afterward. My sister called me on FaceTime while she was there and was literally in tears trying to advocate for herself and explain that the situation had made her uncomfortable. When my other younger sister later called the salon for more information, the woman at the front desk described my sister as "aggressive" and said she had made the staff uncomfortable. Well let me tell you, I'm the oldest sister and our youngest sister doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. It made me so sad to see her shakily defending herself. She was upset, embarrassed, and trying to stand up for herself while crying -- not behaving aggressively. All the receptionist had to do was apologize! Getting defensive with emotional clients is never the answer. If you are the owner please review the call as they are all recorded. My sister also told me that after the waxing specialist left the room, she overheard waxers giggling nearby. I cannot say whether they were laughing about her, and I won't pretend to know that. But in that moment, after she had already been made to feel embarrassed and vulnerable, hearing staff giggling only made her feel even more humiliated. Timing, discretion, and basic emotional awareness matter enormously in intimate services like waxing. At the end of the day, this felt like an inexperienced waxer and a scheduling problem being turned into my sister's fault, while her feelings were completely dismissed. A client should never leave a waxing appointment feeling ashamed of a normal bodily response, humiliated, and then be labeled "aggressive" simply for saying she felt uncomfortable. Stopping a service halfway through, giving a questionable explanation, making the client feel embarrassed, and then dismissing her reaction afterward is unacceptable. I would not recommend this location based on how this was handled. SHAME ON YOU ALL YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. MEANGIRL ACTIVITIES AT THIS LOCATION!!!! also not this is not the first time ive heard of other issues at this location. DO NOT LET THE FOUR STARS FOOL YOU. TERRIBLE STAFF HERE.

Literally the best tanning salon you'll ever go to! I've been tanning here for years and I can't believe I've never written a review. The staff is so friendly and accommodating; they'll answer any questions you have and always make great conversation! I do the unlimited membership option for level 2 which is the cheapest option by far - with that I'm able to tan in either level at my discretion which allows for an amazing tan! I'm writing this review now because I decided to a spray tan in the VersaSpa Pro booth. Long story short, IT WAS AMAZING!! I've never gotten such an even, bronze glow from a spray tan before. I travel between Chicago, NYC, and live in Las Vegas. I've been to a million and one tanning salons over the years and I love this spot. I found them off Yelp and went in last week while on a business trip. It's a smaller salon, but very clean... There is nothing worse than a dirty tanning salon. My only criticisms are I wish I could just press the start button inside the bed instead of having to wait for the lights to come on or pressing the blue button that's on the wall. It would also be convenient to be able to keep a bottle of lotion there but I get it. Space is a premium and people leave it and probably forget they left it there. Other than that it's pretty good. I haven't done the spray in this location so I can't review it. But they do offer it along with red light therapy in what looks like a giant shell.
