Well, up until today, I would have given this place 5 stars. But my experience today was eye opening in the fact that Hospitality, Customer Service or even any Business Savvy does NOT have a home here. Tanning places are a dime a dozen and every single one of them would love to have your business in this precarious economy we have going on, what with gas, groceries, what have you skyrocketing.... who has that much extra money to buy a $70 Groupon for Solar Escape?? Well I did, and I brought it to the salon where the counter staff accepted it, scanned it and directed me to Room #5 to begin my session. Sounds like a great experience so far, right?? Cut to a knock on the door after I've started to be informed that they will not honor their coupon, and that I will have to pay again for this service! Talk about "convenient" timing on their part.......... wait until your guest is undressed and ready to go before you tell them! Apparently a phone call was made to a "not on premise manager" who supposedly decided not to honor my groupon becuz it was the 2nd one I'd bought...... wow imagine the nerve of me!! Trying to patronize your business when their was NOTHING on the groupon ad saying one time only and the girl behind the counter starts double talking me that you can only do it once a year?? So show me where it says that cuz the email i showed her DID NOT have that delineation on it. Ok, i get it & for future services I'd understand and agree..... but to flat out deny it and CHARGE ME AGAIN when me....YOUR GUEST has already paid for it AND you've ALREADY SCANNED AND ACCEPTED IT..... well that is just BAD GUEST SERVICE, that's ZERO HOSPITALITY, that's NOT ONE OUNCE OF BUSINESS SAVVY coming from a nameless manager that's not even there in the store to deal with this! I was flabbergasted to say the least! I guess there is no one at Solar Escape concerned with guest retention, building clientele, developing long term relationships that keep your business prospering while others flounder, making exceptions for an honest mistake that by the way is VERY unclear when your purchasing.... but no one at Solar Escape was inclined to give me (their paying guest) the benefit of the doubt and say "ok, sorry about the confusion, we can do today's tan but then we'll have to figure out the rest of them (which by the way is what ANY DECENT RESPECTABLE COMMUNITY MINDED BUSINESS would do....No.... at Solar Escape it was their counter staff BLAMING me and charging me FORTY BUCKS for a service I ALREADY PAID THEM $70 FOR and that's fine too. It shows me who they really are as a company and that's enough for me to never go back. Like I said, there are dozens of tanning salons with the same equipment and the same packages who are all looking for you as a guest to walk through their door. Dear Frank, the Owner of Solar Escape..... if you've never actually defined what Customer Service, Hospitality and Guest Retention mean to your counter staff and your "supposed manager" who makes these calls despite not even being involved in the store at the time.... it might be a good time to revisit those parameters when in this market, can you really afford customers walking out of your business and into any other place that will treat them kindly and with fairness? Maybe I'm wrong but I think not. Awesome tanning salon! The place is designed really nice and they have some of the best machines out today! On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have a sale of $10 for any tanning bed which is a good deal because some beds are like $35 normal price! I already have good color in just 2 tans! read more

I love this tanning salon. The girls at the front desk are always really nice and helpful. The salon is noticeably very clean and decorated really nice. The day i went they had a deal going on $28 for 2 tans and a free lotion so i liked that. I usually do the highest level bed here and i get good color from it so i'm going start going more. Most likely gonna purchase a package soon. Lastly, I really like the music they play here cause i feel like i'm in a nightclub LOL :) read more

I was coming to this spot when it was the Tan Factory. They are completely new owners to my surprise. Because I was a member of Tan Factory, they matched my sessions. I bought 5 session package and was given 5 more sessions, which was great. I think that was very smart of the owners. They really didn't have to do that. They have re-vamped everything. The rooms now have huge mirrors and have tower fans in them. Hand sanitizer and paper towel dispensers are also in the rooms. The numbers on the wall are even different. I actually like it more than I liked Tan Factory. The girl at the front desk, Ariel, was amazing. I was just used to using the Sungate, but tried the S-Class on my last visit, and really loved it. Because I have sessions for the sungate, it's only $2 to upgrade to the S-Class. They have monthly specials when it comes to purchasing sessions. Tuesday's and Thursday's are also days that they have specials. Any bed is $10 with the purchase of a lotion. If you haven't checked it out, please do so. If your stuck on Tan Factory, don't be because this place is great! read more

Just walked in thinking I was walking in to the tan factory (previous business) and was informed my package I had with the previous business would not be honored. The excuse was that it was new owners and a new system. Bad way to bring your business to the neighborhood. I'm sure they are dealing with a lot of angry customers. Just finished getting my first spray tan at this location, and I'm really impressed with how it came out so far, I can't wait to see how I look after I shower tomorrow. I had such an amazing experience! I am absolutely petrified of tanning in the lay down beds and I normally do the stand up. But the girl that works there (Ariel) assured me everything would be ok and was sooooo informative. She told me little tricks so I can get the best tan for me. She made me feel so comfortable and eased any anxiety I had. She also helped me pick the best products to use for my tan. I've never left a tanning salon feeling so happy before. I was a client of Tan Factory for years and visited Solar Escape a few days ago for the first time. Since I was a pre-exisiting client, they matched the package I purchased (bought a package of 5 and they gave me 5 additional sessions free of charge!!) I thought that was a fantastic deal and a great way of saying, "we want to keep you as a client". Sold! Breanna (hope I got the spelling right! :) was extremely helpful and friendly as she re-registered me. She recommended a lotion that I loved!: "Somewhere on a Beach" - smells great and can be used for indoor and outdoor tanning. Overall a great experience. I look forward to going back soon :) read more
