I am astonished that this place is still in business. After reading several of these reviews, I have found that I am not alone in being verbally abused but the manager after having been cursed at by the sales staff. I came in to get the annual renewal of rust protection and paint diamond gloss and I let the salesperson Tiffany sell me on getting the windows tinted. I said I would like the front windows to be comparable to the rear windows. She told me I had two options 15% or 40% and she said that the 15% was the closest match. It was significantly darker than the rear 19% darker to be exact according to a tint-meter (specifically what that is designed for) but naturally, Doug and the manager who refused to give her name, had a multitude of "reasons" why I was wrong, the tint meter was wrong, my eyes were wrong. Oh, how I wish I had never gone there. I am still in disbelief with the rude and abusive way I was treated there! I will never visit this store again for any reason! read more

I would not recommend this place. I had vent visors installed and they were recommended by zeibart but they ended up not sticking to my vehicle so I contacted them and they said they would get me a whole new set. I go to get the new set on and they still don't stick all the way down but low and behold when I get home I find out they only put one 1 new one and left the other old ones on...i know this because I had a mark on one of the old ones and it is still there. I went in to Ziebart to inquire about my mother's package she purchased when she bought her car a couple of years ago. She has been ill so I'm in town to take care of her, in the meantime making appointments, taking care of car maintenance, etc. I was planning on making an appointment for the next time I'm in town but Douglas (after learning of my mother's situation) worked me in the next day. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. When I picked up the car it looked great. They went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this store. read more

This place is a joke. My husband has the warranty and has to take his truck back yearly for the undercoat. Last year he decided to pay extra and have the inside detailed. When he picked up his truck there were still crumbs on the seat and the dash hadn't even been wiped down. When he went to talk to Diane the manager, she acted annoyed immediately and was rude but went ahead and had them fix it. Almost acted like he was being riduculous and even made the comment that they are very good at what they do. It was still a piss poor job but he paid the $99 and left. Yesterday when he went to pick up his truck from the annual service he found a couple scratches in the same area on his bumper. First let me tell you, my husband loves his truck more that me. It is a 5 year old F250 diesel Platinum. It only has 42,000 miles and it is immaculate. He went to to manager Diane again and told her that there are scratches that were not there when he dropped it off. She immediately got defensive and said that they didn't do it and that he was trying to pin it on them. He informed her that she was incorrect and that he would know if there was a scratch before he brought is as he washes it every week. She continued to argue and was very condescending and rude. She finally said that they would try and rub them out but it they didn't come out he was on his own. He told her that wasn't going to fly with him and she needed to make it right. She then screamed and called him a dick head and said she never wanted him to come there again and didn't want his business. He then called her out for calling him a dickhead and she said prove it. She said my guys are professionals (good thing because she isn't) and they make way more money that you. He said not sure about that but OK, how much do they make? She said $30 and hour and he told her she has to do better than that :) Anyways, he left and will never be back again for the sake of his truck. But BEWARE......Diane is the most unprofessional person we have ever dealt with in our lives. There are many other nasty reviews of how rude and condescending she is. Drive and hour and take to Ohio or Indy. Avoid the Fort Wayne location if at all possible. Good Luck! read more

Had my wife's new car tinted for her birthday. Price was within my expectations and both the associates I spoke with with were helpful and friendly. They scheduled service for next day after I paid, and it was completed promptly. Tint looks great and haven't had any issues with the install or quality of the film. read more

I never review anything, but after this experience I had to...I had to shorten this, but this was my THIRD attempt to get the remote starter installed, and they actually took it out before contacting me because they couldn't fix it! I arrive to pick up my Jeep and found it in the front lot. I pulled out my spare key I brought along, and hit the unlock button, but nothing happened. I went inside and talked to the manager who appologize for the problems with the install and when I asked about my keys not working she blamed me. She said that my keys didn't work when I dropped them off. Odd, I only used my keys to lock my Jeep... I would remember them not honking the horn. I said no, I had it working when I dropped them off. She said sir, it is a used car and there are going to be problems with it. You obviously knew there was a problem with your system that is why you have a brand new key that isn't a factory key. I explained that Jeep keys have a plastic key ring that breaks over time, I had merey replaced the plastic shell around the key so that I had a ring to hang my remote start on, prior to the install, she then pointed out the Energizer battery stating that it wasn't orriginal. I told her that yes, while I had the key opened to put the new plastic on, I had went ahead and replaced the battery. Everything had worked prior to the initial install, and every time it had been in the shop up until me picking it up that day. She then said your keys are in such horrible condidtion I am taking a picuture of them to send to our corporate office so that when you complain to them, which you obviously will, I will have proof that they are in disrepair and it wasn't our problem, you were trying to pass this off on us. She then said if there wasn't an issue to begin with why did I have the multi button system installed when I only needed the single button. I explained that I was told they were out of the single button ones on hand, and that they installed this other instead as a free upgrade. She argued and said that she went back through the inventory from Novemeber, and that they had them on hand, obiously my car was broken which is why they upgraded it. After much argument she told me that the key was my problem, I had two options, I could take my refund or not, but either way we were done and I was leaving. I asked to make sure they had cleared my check engine light and she agreed, processed my credit as a charge, reversed it, and then issued a credit. (it is now a week later and my bank is still holding $400+ in my account from me because of this...thanks by the way) I walked out, hopped in the car and started it, only to be greeted with the check engine light. I walked back in and told the mananger that it had NOT been cleared and I needed it done before I left. An employee pulled it in, and they had to call a tech at home to have him walk the employee through how to clear the codes. They pulled it back around and I went back out, sat down, and tried to turn the stereo up. The stereo was black. No power to it. No clock, no radio, nothing. I went back in and they told me they had nothing to do with the radio not working, and that it was broken when I dropped it off. I looked at her and said ma'am the only reason I knew it was going to snow today was because I listened to the radio on my way here this morning. After much arguement they again pulled my Jeep around and called the tech who came in from home to take a look. After quite some time and a call to the dealership, they figured out which fuse the radio ran through which had indeed blown. They replaced the fuse and pulled it back around for me. When the parked it I reached into my pocket and hit the button on the spare key, only to see the lights flash and the horn honk as I hit the lock button. I pulled the manager to the window and hit the button and showed her that the locks do work and so does the radio, now that they replaced the fuse and it is back to the way I said it was when I dropped it off that morning. She again argued with me stating that they had didn't use or touch the fuse or the door locks. I had given up by this point. I looked at her and said it works the way it did when stopped by the first time, I am just going to leave. I hopped into the Jeep and left. While waiting I watched an employee spin the tires of a mustang in the snow getting it stuck, only for the manager to say they were going to call the owner who obviously got it stuck parking it, they can dig their own car out. My brother had his hood pop open while driving home, after a factory detailing they did, to which they replied he had a faulty latch and to contact the dealer, it wasn't their fault they didn't get under the hood. They do nothing but blame the customers for their downfalls and mistakes, and if you do get work done stay on site, you will be amazed at how frequently they mock or belittle their customers not caring who may listen! read more

My experience at Ziebart starting with buying a Groupon for detailing. While the coupon was cheap, by the time they hit me up for Sport Utility up charges and then doubled the price to also do the interior, this was not a bargain detailing. And I'm fine with that... as long as the work is good. Because they keep relatively short hours, I would have to pick up my car after hours. I was extremely disappointed with what I found. Carpets were still dirty, brake dust on the wheels, smudges at the bottom of the windshield inside... just a very slipshod job. I've had my car look every bit as good after a $15 car wash. I suspect that they may have made good on it if they were there when I picked it up, but I don't like having to go back twice and would prefer that work be done correctly the first time. read more

I would like to rate this place 0 stars but since that isn't an option. I would have liked to include photos of my car that I had an "interior detailing" done today at Ziebart in Fort Wayne Indiana. I dropped my vehicle off at 11 am and was called at 2:50 indicating my car was ready for pick up. When I came to pick it up they were going to have me pay before I even inspected the car. I insisted on looking at the vehicle and discovered NONE of the stains were removed and there was still good amount of dirt, food and debris on the floors. They offered me a "coke" while they took it back and "re touched" some of the spots and vacuumed again. Which the manager himself agreed that it was not even to his satisfaction. After waiting another 30 minutes the car did not look much better. I wanted to show that this is not the quality I would have expected for 164.99. Not to mention he did not offer any additional discounts for me to have to be inconvenienced by waiting while they "recleaned" it. He was also very rude to me and when my mother tried to question him he was very nasty with her as well, telling her he wasn't even going to deal with her since she wasn't even the customer. I normally never leave bad reviews for these kinds of things but this is a lot of money for something that I could have done a better job on and saved the money. I recently purchased a tonneau cover for my pickup truck at Ziebart of Fort Wayne. I try to shop locally when I can, so even through their price was $64 dollars higher than I could get it online it did include installation and they could have it the next day. The first thing I discovered after the purchase was a $16 charge on the receipt for shop supplies. Really?? What shop supplies do you need to install a tonneau cover? Everything needed should come in the box. Nothing was said about this charge when I was quoted the price and I only noticed it on the receipt later that day when I called to change my installation appointment. I didn't bring it up with Ziebart because I just wanted the cover installed before the upcoming weekend, but still the charge seemed frivolous and unwarranted. After the installation was complete I noticed the side rails for the cover were tilted in slightly making closing a bit difficult. The Ziebart employee that demonstrated the cover after the install didn't seem to think it was out of the ordinary even though I had to lift the rail slightly to latch the end of the cover, something I never have to do on my son's truck with the same cover. I figured it might be a peculiarity caused by the RamBoxes. I also inquired about the free light I thought would come with it, since the manufacturer was running a promotion at the time of purchase. He told me that it didn't come with a light and that they don't necessarily participate in the promotions. That seemed odd since they are an authorized dealer listed on the manufacturer's website. My fault I guess for not clarifying this before I ordered. After getting home I inspected it a little closer and noticed the left side rail was quite loose. When I pulled on it slightly it lifted right off the truck. Yikes. I went online to the manufacturer's website and downloaded the instruction sheet. It clearly showed that there should be clamps behind the factory cargo rail to hold the cover rails in place. The clamps weren't visible on my truck. I called the manufacturer and spoke with a technician. He confirmed that the instructions on their website are current and there should be visible clamps behind the cargo rail. He couldn't understand why they weren't installed since the company's QC video shows them going in the box prior to shipment. He warned that without the clamps the cover could fly off the truck since the cargo rails are inadequate to hold it without them. He also said failing to install the clamps would explain the tilted in condition of the rails. I went back to Ziebart the next day and spoke with the assistant manager, Pete. I took him out and showed him the cover, explained the situation and relayed my conversation with the manufacturer's tech support. He went back to speak with the installer. When he returned he told me that the installer had been "confused" by the instructions and claimed that the clamps had not been in the box when they got it. I asked him why the installer would attempt to install a product that they claimed had missing parts when they were clearly integral to the security of the assembly. His only explanation was that the installer was "confused" and had never installed this cover before. He offered to order another cover and have it installed the next week. At this point I had very little confidence in their ability to install a cover properly given how incompetent the first installation was handled, not to mention I needed it by the weekend. I asked for and received a refund and they removed the cover. This was not a good experience by any stretch of the imagination. It was a complete waste of my time and reflected poor overall customer service and an appalling lack of attention to detail. I will not use them again. read more

I have had a terrible experience at Ziebart Fort Wayne. I purchased a Leer truck cap and the wiring was awful. After being told that was the correct way to wire the cap to the truck, I called Leer and they told me that it was not wired correctly. When I returned to Ziebart, Pete again told me that it was wired correctly, but offered to redo it. They did such an awful job the first time, I just decided to fix it myself. With the help of Tri-State Line-X, another Leer dealer, then sent me the wiring diagram to resolve the issue. But it doesn't stop there, when I went in a 3rd time to talk to a manager about this experience, and request the install fees be refunded, Diane the manager started cussing at me and telling me it's company policy to NOT refund money to customers who aren't happy. I have never been yelled at like that from a manager before and never heard of a company not trying to fix something they screwed up. Needless to say I will NEVER give Ziebart my money again. read more

Two years ago I bought a new BMW. I wanted to protect my car from damage, place of choice Ziebart. I had Ziebart put film protection on the cars most vulnerable area, cost ruffly, 700.00 . Someone hit my car, I had the bumper fixed. The auto repair company required me to wait 3 months before I had the Ziebart protection put back on. I took my car to Zebart, I was not happy with the job, the protection film appeared to be put on upside down, uneven, not fitting as before. The manager argued with me. I showed her the film was put on uneven, it was not covering the area proper. She had me open the trunk and told me they have a new program now, so it will look different. I was not happy with her answer, or her professionalism. I was done, ready to go, I got my keys from my husband, shut the trunk lid. This made the manager furious. I had a box of Bibles in the truck, the manager was yelling, she told me..take your Bibles and go preach somewhere else. If we remove and replace the protection film and it takes the paint off they were not responsible, or if they cut another piece and put it on right side up and it looks bad, that's the way it is.. -- REALLY! Regardless if the protection film was put on correctly or incorrectly the Ziebart's manager was very unprofessional, she was rude, yelling and had no business talking about the Bible in my car. I left very unhappy! My husband went into the business to write a comment on invoice, they refused to let him. read more

I've had my vehicle serviced here for five years and the service has been very good. Customer pick up and delivery is a nice feature, as the service takes several hours. They do have a nice customer waiting area if you decide to use it. read more

I have an 11 year old SUV that I have had since 6500 miles & do not think any less of taking care of it due to the age. As a matter of fact, today (after a bad detail job in NC, I was hesitant to pay for another professional detailing) I drove away with my vehicle that now looks close to brand new! The outside has a very shiny, smooth coat on it. The inside of the vehicle has the best fresh scent and they did an AMAZING job! Every single TEAM member @ this Ziebart made this an EXCELLENT experience from the first call when Douglas answered to being greeted at the door by Dianne (which enhanced my experience), the courtesy trip to go enjoy lunch at a favorite place down the street, the final process & everyone/experience in between. I HIGHLY recommend you give them a call today as they have so many services/products to offer. I will even be back next week for my window tinting. I really wish you would open one in NC. read more

The product may be fine, but this review is based on my customer service experience. I had rust protection applied to my white vehicle. It left an amber colored residue in various places and was quite unsightly. I called the Fort Wayne store to ask if it can be removed and why I wasn't educated that this would happen. I first spoke to Douglas, I believe, and he said it was common, after asking if I owned a white vehicle (therefore acknowledging this isn't the first call they received). After asking why they wouldn't educate their customers on this he put me on hold. After a minute of being on hold, the manager, Dianne, was on the line. Long story short, she launched a well scripted lecture on how they do business, and how I have no business telling them to do business. Her delivery was abrasive, arrogant, inconsiderate, and extremely unprofessional. After I made a comment pointing out the illogical nature of her speech and treatment of customers, she promptly hung up on me. I currently have a call into Ziebart headquarters to ask if this is how they expect managers to promote their company. I also made a call to another Ziebart franchise, and the gentleman who took my call, listened to my concerns and helped me come up with a solution. So, in summary, if you're looking to get products from Ziebart, steer clear of the Fort Wayne location. read more

I had the protectant sticker "Z- Shield" put on my car from Ziebart in May 2016. I made an appointment to have Ziebart take a look at it on a Saturday January 2017 because it's peeling. I happened to be driving by the Saturday prior to my scheduled appointment and noticed they weren't busy so I stopped in. The gentleman who originally scheduled me, told me it'd only take about 5 minutes to look at, and after hearing my story, told me that the issue could be a number of things INCLUDING possibly not getting put down properly. I get there (only customer there) and the store manager Dianne comes out polite & friendly...She remembered my car and I let her know I was having some issues. As soon as she heard me say this her attitude turned into something else. She said "Since youre coming unannounced on a day you werent scheduled you'll have to wait until I can get out there to take a look, I'm very busy right now." So I go out and wait 8-10 minutes, not a problem. She gets outside and I let her know that a few months after it was applied, it appeared to look not sealed tightly to the hood of my car along some edges. Wasn't exactly peeling, just looked like it was coming up a bit. I had my car detailed December 2016 & at that point it was apparent that the corners that seemed not sealed to me weren't sealed tight enough because they were peeling. I'm OVERLY sensitive with who touches or works on my vehicle. I hired a VERY professional local detailer & was actually present during the detail & am fully aware he didn't ruin the decal. Dianne told me that since I had it detailed by a "professional" (rude hand quotations & all) that there was nothing she could do unless I pay to replace the current Z-Shield. I let her know that I didn't think that was fair business especially because of the Lifetime Warranty they shove in your face to help make the original sale of their product in the first place. She brings over a man named Douglas and they converse directly in front of me as she disrespectfully tells him my story about how my "professional detailer" (rude hand quotations come back) "professionally" (hand quotations) detailed my car and that this customer (me) "Wants a free Z-Shield reinstalled after her detailer ruined the original one & she's at fault." I told the both of them that I didn't appreciate how they were having this extremely rude conversation in front me. Dianne told me that if I didn't like it "I could wait outside until they were finished." She grabbed me a pamphlet and said "Here's the prices if you'd like to replace what you currently have." I told both of them what the employee who originally scheduled me had said about how it could've not been put down right, and I was told "There's no way any of my employees said that, please don't put words in peoples mouths." The warranty from the pamphlet clearly states: "Z-Shield is backed by a lifetime warranty (THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS), Z-SHEILD won't crack, peel, bubble, discolor or turn yellow. If it does WE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT FOR YOU"...There's NO fine print that says "Warranty excludes when a manager claims it's your fault the decal is messed up and you'll have to pay full price to have it fixed." There's actually no fine print ANYWHERE with exclusions. Dianne let me know "You're making me ignore phone calls & customers, I can't help you." I let them both know I'd be calling corporate offices to tell them how I was so awfully treated. They both found that hilarious and said "go for it." I called corporate today and they said that even though Ziebart is a franchise... they're independantly owned so the "complaint" will be going directly to the store where I had my issue & at that point they'd have to take care of it however they personally choose. Which basically means if the store that screws you over won't help, corporate will re-direct to that specific store & nothing can be done about it. Bunch of CROOKS..that give out LIFETIME warranties that are "selective" based upon if they want to blame the customer for their failed product or not. Worst customer service ever. Will be sure none of my family & friends have to deal with their services. If you end up doing it, make sure you never detail your car ever again afterwards. read more
