if i could give 0 stars i would I had an extremely uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this Discount Tire location. Not only was the customer service rude and unprofessional, but while waiting I could clearly hear employees making racist comments and crude rape jokes. The language and behavior were completely inappropriate for a workplace, especially one that serves the public. It was loud, raunchy, and disrespectful, and it made me feel uneasy just being there. No customer should have to overhear that kind of conversation while waiting for service. On top of that, the staff showed little regard for customers and acted like professionalism didn't matter at all. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this location to anyone who expects basic respect and decency. read more

I went to the Discount Tire store for help. I have bought tires from them before but not this time. I went because my tire was low and I don't like getting down on the ground to check tire pressure. Took the car in and had the tire pressures checked and yes the one in question had a problem. They fixed the one leaky tire and checked all the other tires. Waited a little while about an hour, not too long, then asked how much I owe, they said-No Charge. I was floored. How great to give such good service at no charge- who does this? I guess they do. We brought both of our cars to Discount Tire on Maysville Road for new tires. We are a military family and we appreciate that Discount Tire honors a military discount. That is not why we chose them, we checked the prices of tires at their website and found they offered the best price. We made our appointments for both cars in person. They were scheduled one day apart. Both days, our cars were ready at their appointments on time. Our Jeep had the tires installed in an hour. Our Suzuki the tires were installed in less than an hours. I was very impressed that there is an employee who can drive a 5 speed manual transmission. Francisco, was able to drive my Suzuki, which is a stick shift. This is very difficult to find at service centers today. MANY mechanics and shops DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK! If you have a manual transmission, always check before scheduling service to make sure there is someone knowledgeable to drive it. We appreciate Francisco for having this ability! Damon checked us in when we arrived with the Jeep and he also scheduled our appointments. He was courteous and prompt. Kayla checked us in when we arrived with the Suzuki, and she was also very courteous and prompt. When tires were installed and our service was finished, Francisco explained everything that was done and gave us registration cards for our new tires. Our only issue was that their waiting area was very warm. Kayla explained to us that their air conditioning was only working at half capacity. We chose to wait outside on their bench. And the other day, we walked to a restaurant next door and had breakfast. Please get your air conditioning repaired! We would definitely return to the Maysville Rd. location. We were very happy with our experience there and we would recommend it to any military family who needs new tires installed on their vehicle. read more

Walked in to quote what tires would cost for a set of Rotiform LAS-R I was going to source from a tuner site, was informed they carry the exact wheels I wanted and could get them in as little as 3-4 days, I spent time with the manager as a walk-in where we got the exact fitment I wanted for tire specs and were able to source some Toyo Proxes Sport A/S and the wheels at a good discount and it took care of all the mounting and hardware I needed so it saved me a lot of work! Constantly too busy to even make an appointment. If you try to call this location you will sit waiting on the phone listening to the same automated message for 30 minutes, if you go inside to try and talk to someone you will wait in like for even longer. Seems like 99% of their employees work outside on the vehicles and only one employee is inside to help customers. Customer service is terrible. Also, they don't carry or use a lot of tire brands so you might not even get the tires you want or need so you'll have to go elsewhere to get what you want. If you even manage to get an appointment (which is an actual miracle) then they do "okay" work. Seems like most employees are just out of high school. Go to a different location or a different tire place entirely. Totally thumbs down. read more

I've never been to a Discount Tire before today. On my way from NW Indiana to SW Virginia today a low tire pressure warning pinged on my dash. I toggled the display to see actual readings. Left rear was 27 PSI and dropping. I was near Ft. Wayne and pulled off at an exit. I saw a Walmart/Murphy's USA on the left, so went in the left turn lane. Meanwhile I did not see, until too late, the Discount Tire ahead on the right. But I took note of it. I confirmed the low pressure (by now 17 PSI) at the Walmart air pump, filled it to 32 PSI, only to see it drop fast. On advice of my smarter-than-me wife, instead of changing the tire in the Walmart lot, we scooted across the street to Discount Tire to see what they might be able to do. Worst case is I put the spare on in their lot versus the Walmart lot. I explained to one of the men at the counter: "I'm 2 hours in to a 10 hour trip and have a low pressure issue." They diagnosed it (screw in repairable part of tire), repaired it, and had us back on the road in just under an hour. Oh, and they said "no charge" - just give us a good review. Terrible service. I had an appointment today at 3:30pm. I went in and the guy claimed that my tire was completely flat but due to the way its designed, it made it look as if there was air in it. There was no tire lock with the car and he claimed they didn't have a universal one to get the tire off, which to me made no sense considering this is a company that repairs, replaces tires! I ask him if he could at least put air in the tire so that I could safely drive the car home to have it towed to the dealership and he refused to do it. I repeat, REFUSED to, saying it was too low, which again makes no sense. I've done business with them in the past and spent a lot of money on tires but never again. I took the car to Bob Thomas quick lane and not only did they do a temp patch so I could at least get home safely, but also didn't charge me for their service. After buying $1,300 worth of Michelin Pilot 4S tires from them, I brought my brand new rims in to get them mounted. After waiting over a week for tires that I was told would be in 3-4 days, they chipped a huge piece of the rim out when installing the tires!!!!!! No attempt by anyone there was made to apologize after I told them they were fixing it. I waited yet another week while they had to send the rim out to get fixed. I wasn't looking to be monetarily compensated for their screw up (which there was certainly a case for /not to mention loss of much of my time driving my car) but the very least they could've done was say they were sorry for screwing up my brand new rims. I will be going to the Coliseum location IF I ever deal with this company ever again. This location is horrible, and the were actually jerks about the whole scenario. Side note, 6 months before this, I also brought a truck tire to get plugged (ran over a screw) and they refused to fix it and insisted I had to buy a new one at the tune of $280. Knowledgeable staff helped us pick out our new tires. We had to ask a lot of questions, but we were not pressured into buying. We ended up getting what was first recommended as it was the best combo of price and quality. Took about 45 minutes from the time we arrived and the time we left with our new tires on the car. Spent our waiting time getting breakfast at the Bob Evans next door. They have a waiting area with coffee, water and magazines if you stick around to wait. I made an appointment here to have my spare tire fixed (it was flat) and to see why my tire pressure light was on. The staff was very knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. They had a ton of walk in's while I was there, and were very kind and patient and attentive to all the customers, despite the rush. They fixed my spare tire free of charge, and replaced two bad tire pressure sensors. They discovered the second bad sensor after I had already paid for one, and cut me a deal on the second. I wasn't pressured into buying anything I didn't want, and was constantly given progress updates while I was waiting. Will definitely return here and recommend to family and friends! read more

As I waited at the counter for over five minutes without so much as a greeting they continued to just take phone calls. I asked do you intend to help the people that are here or just phone customers after at least four calls. The response I received was " I am going to help this lady and I'm not going to help you." Went to get two tires installed on my car tonight and the salesman said I'll sell you 4 tires for the price of 2. I told him i didn't need 4 tires, just 2 on the front. He repeated the same sales pitch. Again i said i just needed 2 tires. I told him there's no such thing as 2 free tires. He again said the same sales pitch. I have always purchased tires at discount tire. I recently bought a set of tires and rims for my 1972 Chevy pick-up. One of the rears had wheel weights half way around the rim. Both front wheel weights had less than 1/16 of an inch clearance with the ball joint. I called to complain and I was told that it was my fault. In comparison, I recently put a set of tires and rims on my muscle car and Belle Tire spent 4 hrs fitting and reordering until it was right. It's a no brainer that I'll never return to discount tire. read more
