I was on my ladder trying to fix and noticed a huge scuff mark, upon further inspection I noticed chipped paint from trying to get the windshield out. I tried buffing the scuff mark out myself. I did call the company to let them know and unfortunately they won't warranty it because I already tried fixing myself. My inside head liner is messed up as well. This repair really looks like I got it done from someone's back yard garage. I don't recommend getting your vehicle windows done here. Yes you are saving money, but then you have to turn around and spend the money getting it fixed what was damaged

Of course they can't work miracles to make your glass completely like new but you can see the before and after pictures. Replacing a windshield is costly and also a pain so if i can fix it instead I would take that option. In and out in 40 minutes for this complex windshield repair. I hope I don't have to use their services in the future but with the roads in Indiana I'm glad this is an option

When we called the office to reschedule they made an appointment for us and sent us a quote that was twice as much as the original. After having a scheduling conflict, I made a new appointment for a sooner date. The quote I got was still almost twice as much and the technician never called to tell me they would be late. My appointment was between 12-5 and they arrived at 6. I waited around an extra hour after my workday was over. I feel a discount should have been given for my troubles. The technician was extremely nice but every customer service representative I have dealt with has been nothing but rude. One even tripled my quote and told me there wasn't enough information for her to send out a technician even though a technician had already been out 3 day prior. My family has used safelite before and been very happy, however we are very disappointed with our service this time as well as the major differences in quotes for the replacement.

When I picked up the minivan, I was given a copy of the final bill of $2,310 which was billed to insurance. Two weeks later, we received a mailed receipt from our insurance company showing that they paid $3,180. I emailed the shop a month ago to find out why they tacked on an additional $870 to the final bill. No response. This is an example illustrating why all of our car insurance premiums are soaring. Avoid Gerber. There are more reputable shops in town that will do the work for less money and not inflate the bill for insurance.
