When I picked up the minivan, I was given a copy of the final bill of $2,310 which was billed to insurance. Two weeks later, we received a mailed receipt from our insurance company showing that they paid $3,180. I emailed the shop a month ago to find out why they tacked on an additional $870 to the final bill. No response. This is an example illustrating why all of our car insurance premiums are soaring. Avoid Gerber. There are more reputable shops in town that will do the work for less money and not inflate the bill for insurance.

So, I do not know what is a usual experience or time frame to expect or not. But here's what I dealt with. Pros: Repairs look like I never had that truck scrapped against my car. Looks spotless. Also, explanation of work and process was clear and precise. They took care of calling the rental car agency when repairs were delayed and also handed calling them to get the rental back to the rental company, I was able to simply get in my car and leave. I also cannot complain on the price since it was billed to the other drivers insurance agency, but the actual repairs was slightly cheaper than the original estimate. So if you are paying out of pocket that would have been a good thing to have happen. Cons: My car got dented back at the end of may. When I first called them, the earliest we could get the car into the shop was Jun 20th, which wasn't awful. But then, like a 5 days before that date, they called me again and said they were still behind on work and if I could reschedule for July 10th. Then, when I got the rental car the estimated time of me having it was til the 18th, I finally got a call about my vehicle being fixed on the afternoon of 26th of July. So total time of my car being damaged until I got back fixed was slightly over 2 months. Also, while the majority of people I interacted with were professional and friendly, I did have one of the people working the front desk seem completely disinterested in customer experience. Not openly hostile, but definitely seemed like they didn't want anyone actually talking to them which was very off putting. So TLDR, waited quite a long time for what my repairs seemed to be, customer service was great pending one person, and repairs were great. If anything happens again with my vehicle, I will go back to see if the same experience happens again to form a better opinion.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Gerber Collision. I brought my vehicle in for panel…read morerepair, and while they claimed it was fixed, it clearly was not. I did my due diligence and pointed out that the repaired panel was noticeably larger than the matching fender on the opposite side. They took it back, supposedly to correct the issue--but within less than five minutes, they returned it and claimed it was "fixed." Nothing had changed. It was a total scam. I requested that a Gerber representative take a closer look. She told me they had "changed the bracket" and that "this is how it is"--essentially telling me to take it or leave it. That level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. When I asked for proof of the so-called defective parts or even just photos, they had nothing to show. That speaks volumes. I've disputed the payment through my credit card and will be getting fully reimbursed due to Gerber's dishonesty and failure to provide the service I paid for. Shame on them for treating customers this way and thinking they can get away with such behavior. I won't be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with your vehicle.

Initially things were…read moregreat, however about a week later I began having issues with my tire sensor and to my awareness, I was confused as they had just installed a tire. BRAND NEW. Luckily, my fiancé caught the sensor issue and tested the PSI of the tire, which came back to being OVER inflated. If you know slightly about tires, this can POTENTIALLY lead to premature wear and tear of the tire life. So, if you get a new tire installed by Gerber, whomever completes the installation, will over fill the capacity of air within your tire. Overall, great service, expect a constant change of estimate repair completion instead of a complete diagnostic estimate of completion :)
