I'm sad that Noodle Now is replaced :( This version has a much smaller menu. The taste of everything was good. Quantity of noodles was not worth it in my opinion.

It's very delicious and the service is good 牛肉大肠面

Tam's Noodle House - Congee

My go-to Hong Kong breakfast spot closed down but I'm so glad to have discovered Tam's! I think I…read moreactually like it just as much if not more than my previous spot which I never thought I'd say. Their breakfast combo is an incredible deal with choice of congee, drink, and two sides for 12.99! I'm traditional and always get the pork and century egg congee, which was solid here. Their iced milk tea was also strong and sweet - just as it should be. I really like the two sides though, the shrimp rice roll is actually bouncier/chewier than the typical cherng fun and I really liked it more! And the pineapple bun with a thick square of butter inside was perfecttt and so indulgent. I don't know how anyone could eat this much food, I definitely had to bring home leftovers! Can't wait to come back again.

We ordered…read moretheir congee, ham & egg, shrimp rice noodle roll, and the pineapple bun with butter, and everything was on point. The congee was flavorful, exactly how it should be. The ham & egg was done just right, giving that nostalgic HK café vibe. The dry shrimp rice noodle was silky soft with dry shrimp inside and paired perfectly with the soy sauce. And the pineapple bun with butter? Warm, fluffy, slightly crispy on top, with that thick slice of butter melting inside... so good. If you're looking for a solid spot for a casual, comforting meal, this place definitely delivers. Will be back for sure!

They even came after me in the parking lot to give me plastic bag seeing I was holding 3 boxes in hand. Taste - beef stew has lots of tendon and melting mouth beef so good. Service was rushed and disorganized from the start -- the server wanted our order the moment we sat down, leaving us scrambling to decide. We ordered the Hu Tieu Thap Cam (large noodles), Banh Bot Chien, and Dau Cha Quay as an appetizer. The Bot Chien came out first after about 20 minutes. My soup didn't arrive until 15 minutes after that, and the Dau Cha Quay? We had to ask four times before it finally showed up -- by which point we were nearly done eating. As for the food itself, my Hu Tieu Thap Cam was a disappointment. A large bowl that was mostly noodles, with just two shrimp, a single slice of liver, barely a teaspoon of ground beef, and a few thin slivers of chicken. The veggie toppings were just as sparse. For what's supposed to be a hearty noodle soup, it felt like a bowl of afterthoughts. I hate writing reviews like this because I genuinely used to love this place. But the combination of slow, uncoordinated service and underwhelming portions makes it hard to recommend.

AH-MA-ZING!! Brought one of our best friends from Hawaii to have lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. We…read moregot seated right away which was great bc we were all getting hangry. For appetizers we ordered the Takoyaki, chicken karage and our main dishes Deluxe Tsukemen x3. The Break down: Atmosphere: 4/5 They greet you as you walk in, which I sets the vibe. You're welcomed into a cozy apace that has some decorative elements even to the music choice. Reminds me of our trip to japan, which I MISS SO MUCH! The Food Takoyaki: $8.95. 4/5 Stars. - Comes in 5pcs with sauce and bonito flakes. I liked how the outside was a bit crunchy and inside was fluffy! Karage: $8.95. 5/5 Stars - Comes in 5pcs. The sauce was tangy sweet kind of like teriyaki sauce. It was crispy but still so juicy and soft. HANDS DOWN GET THIS! Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

I like how they have expanded their menu with additional options other than simply noodle options…read more We tried their pork pan fried dumplings (3/5) since the skin was overpoweringly thick, but the filling was decent. They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

Hidden Gem in Alhambra - Finally Tried It After 4 Years of Driving By!…read more I've lived in Alhambra for the last 4 years and drove past this place almost every day, always assuming it was just another hot pot spot. It never looked super busy, so I kept putting it off. Big mistake--don't let that happen to you like it did to me! We finally went in and ordered a bunch: the Spicy Beef Shank Rice Noodle, Rattan Pepper Sliced Beef Rice Noodle, Popcorn Chicken, Sesame Balls, Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Fried Milk Rolls, and Fried Taro Balls. Everything was outstanding. The noodles were amazing--fresh, chewy, with high-quality ingredients you can really taste in every bite. The broths had that perfect spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the beef was super tender. My wife and I couldn't stop eating; literally everything we tried was delicious. She especially loved the Fried Taro Balls--they were crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. The sides/snacks were all hits too: the Popcorn Chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, the Sesame Balls and Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake brought great texture and sweetness, and the Fried Milk Rolls were a fun surprise. Service was top-notch--shoutout to Icey, who took such great care of us. One of the best and most attentive experiences we've had in a while. If you're in Alhambra and love good food, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't go wrong here--highly recommend! 5 stars all the way.

The portion rice is very generous, I can never finish and would end up taking leftovers. Parking: they have a lot next to the restaurant, I never had an issue with finding a spot. The only downside is they don't have their AC on during the summer. I remember one time I was sweating while eating and it was very uncomfortable.
