I didn't imagine my first meal in London to be in a Turkish place, but this delivered big time. Excellent on all levels.
The food was fantastic. We tried the Lamb Kebabs, Lamb Ribs, and Adana Kebab. All 3 were perfectly cooked and juicy. They were served alongside various accompaniments, including buttered rice, warm pita, salad, dips, and olives. The latter 4 were all sort of brought as an appetizer, but could be eaten with the main dishes too. Everything was really tasty.
The restaurant is also beautiful inside, with a smooth, Arabic vibe. It was on the empty side, but it was a weeknight, and it's tucked away from the main street in Deptford. It's very close to the DLR station.
A great choice for middle eastern, and a great culinary opening to my time in London. read more
