So, Johnathen Zettner is a really good man, that's the most important part that seems to be lacking nowadays. Honors his word, has great communication skills, knows his job and his team very well, and really goes the extra mile to make you happy. His pricing was the best out of 5 companies we chose, and he delivered exactly what he promised. Everyone loves the finished job he did. Our condo is on the market to sell right now, and there has been a ton of compliments about the flooring/tiling. I first met John Zettner when I was remodeling my condo residence. John, the owner of the company, personally helped me choose flooring. He listened to what I wanted and showed me exactly the right samples to help me make my decision - I chose light wood-like laminate. He accurately estimated the prices and the final bid was reasonable. The work started promptly and continued steadily without the annoying on and off again some contractors do to juggle multiple jobs at the same time. Not only that but it was perfectly coordinated with the wall, cabinet and painting contractors. When difficulty arose (the underlying floor was very uneven), John and his people gave me plenty of explanation and the added cost was understandable and reasonable. I watched how difficult and time consuming leveling the floor in my living room really was. The result was excellent and completely satisfactory as you can see in the photos. The workmen cleaned up everything and left the place immaculate. John made sure I was satisfied before presenting his final bill. One could not want anything more from a floor covering provider. It was particularly wonderful because a friend and I at another condo had experienced very poor tile and carpet work from a different company which I won't name here. The contrast in level of skill, diligence and service was striking. Recently, I needed some unusual carpet work on another condo. The occupant had a physical impairment which prevented her from tolerating any unevenness in the floor. But there was a badly done (by someone else) transition area between a carpeted bedroom and a tiled bathroom and the transition area was covered with a thick metal strip. After I described the situation by phone, John immediately understood what I needed and provided an excellent workman in a very timely manner. The work was perfect, the price was affordable, and now, my handicapped tenant can easily get to her bathroom without stepping over anything. Average to below average overall. Installers are top notch and fast, which was this company's only positive trait. The sales guy, David Verran, will bait and switch you on the quality of their laminate flooring to improve his sales margin. The laminate flooring he initially demonstrates is heavier duty compared to what is actually installed. This is difficult to notice immediately following installation but presents itself within a few months of minor wear. Additionally, David charged me substantially more post-invoice to level a small 1x1 part of my kitchen; however, it's still uneven and the floor doesn't lay flat, so I don't even know exactly what value-add they did there. On top of all of that, I asked them to put quarter round in a very small bathroom on a $5k job and David Verran nickel-and-dimed me for another $100. Stay away and find a more honest company. You'll be happy you did and your floors will be high quality and last a lot longer. read more

We had these guys put in flooring in our dental office last year and result was phenomenal! I will post photos but they worked around our schedule and finished it on time and took care to do all the little things to make sure it worked out well. Dave V worked with us through the whole process and made sure everything was great. We liked their work so much we did another area of our office just last week and it was finished on a saturday so we did not have to close and lose any valuable business time. Dave still comes by occasionally to check on things and make sure its all good. We placed the vinyl plank flooring and its been a nice addition to our office. read more

The best of the best. We bought a new place near Grossmont College and needed carpeting done quickly between the move out of the seller and us moving in, (about a week or so) while painting was being done at the same time. David Verran, a super nice guy, kept the store open late one weeknight so we could pick out carpet, long after their normal closing hours. Never rushed us, explained everything. Now we have beautiful, thick, comfortable carpeting on our stairs and three bedrooms. David made sure it was done quickly and perfectly. We could not recommend John Zettner Floorcovering more. Unbelievable customer service, reliable, honest and full of integrity. I could not have asked for a more thorough, professional flooring company. Both Jonathan and Christina are extremely professional and personable. They both communicate clearly, calling and providing installation information, and making you feel valued. They both are wonderful people and Jonathan knows his flooring!!!! Unfortunately for me I had a leak of some kind which affected flooring that was to be repaired. Jonathan was VERY helpful and gave me several options on to to address the water leak immediately. I am in the process of exhausting fixing the water leak possibilities and feel that this issue will get resolved. What I was very thankful for is Jonathan reassured me that he would be there every step of the way until the water issue was resolved. First and foremost Johnathen Zettner is truly a man of integrity. Everything he and his staff stated they not only honored, they ensured every aspect of the job they did was done to my satisfaction. The cost came in exactly the amount he stated and throughout the entire process I was briefed on where they were and the time which it would take to accomplish everything. I had a travertine floor put in my house almost 20 years ago throughout the kitchen, dining room and living room. Over the years some of the tiles, as they sometimes due, begin to crack due to settling and whatnot. Johnathen came in with his team and replaced over 20 tiles and once finished no one could tell which ones he replaced. Additionally, he installed carpet in two rooms and the quality, craftsmanship, and "customer first" in everything he and his team did was on full display once finished. We got referral for this company from our family who used them to do carpeting job. We had a toilet leaking from our master bedroom into our brand new kitchen. Our plumber suggested we replace the bathroom floors before we replaced the new toilet. John came out to take a look at our bathroom floors and take measurements. He also brought in vinyl flooring samples with him for us to choose from. I love the in-home shopping appointments. We did not have to leave our home to go shopping for bathroom floors. If you need floor covering, this is the place for you. Every person on their staff is helpful, polite, experienced and know their business. I was given a quote and a timeline and they stuck to it. Even though they came across some surprises when removing my old flooring, they brought in extra guys to make sure everything stayed on track.
