If you have yet to visit this particular Zesto's, you'd be surprised at how busy they get in the evenings. With all the new builds, the new place, the new trendy restaurants and dessert shops, Zesto's has been on 30th for over 70 years, since 1953. Anytime a thriving business like that stands the test of time, a pandemic, and ever changing palates I have the utmost respect for the owners and the staff. There's a certain pride in that and it makes me want to support them even more. It's true I don't get to enjoy their meals or sweets as often as I'd like, but when I do I usually finish either of them happy and full. We often see a long line of cars waiting for eager customers to get their order in as well as a long line of people outside their window waiting for their order and waiting to order. Recently, we gotten a dinner here enjoying the cheeseburger meal and the rodeo burger with their fries that have easily become my favorite. The food is always hot, despite the pressures of getting food out on time and accurately. We also got their satellite deal of 5 satellites for $5.55. We of course enjoy their crunch cones of twist soft serve dipped in one of their coatings, crunch or chocolate for me!! And lastly, there's no question that their delicious and various flavored malts are on our list of something sweet and cool to beat the heat!! Zesto's has such a variety they offer they could easily satisfy multiple tastebuds. In addition to all this great stuff, their ice cream cakes are also worth trying as well! I ordered on for my niece one year and it was a favorite amongst everyone! I know there's a few Zesto's around and I highly recommend you trying any of them, but if you want to visit the one that's been around for decades, come to this one! read more

This place is a local favorite and is generally busy. Their juicy burgers taste good and have plenty of condiments -- just be careful not to drip on yourself if eating in your vehicle. The fries are nicely seasoned and very tasty. Perhaps our favorite item that we have tried so far is the dipped ice cream cone. I haven't had a zesto I didn't like! This location hasn't disappointed yet. With the hot temps, and summer break, we've been hanging out at Zestos a lot. My parents kind of got us hooked on Zesto, because they said they have yet to find an ice cream that has the texture, creaminess, taste, flavor, and price combined, and I agree with them! Small nostalgic ice cream shop in small town Nebraska. It serves ice cream and light bites. Went for a classic twist, tasted like a McDonald's soft serve ice cream...although they have more flavors. It has a small window walk up orders, and a drive thru...although drive thru took 15 minutes for only 3 cars. I imagine a much longer wait on a busy night. I have been going to Zesto's (in Florence) over 50 years. They had the best chili foot-longs in the 70's and 80's, when they were using O'Briens Brick Chili. Unfortunately, you can't buy or find O'Briens chili anymore. The chili they are using now cannot compare to O'Briens, but they are still good. Overall, they have great food and service. read more

If there is a policy in place stand by it firmly but again no need to be rude or give attitude. Maybe even go above and beyond by offering a solution vs being snotty. Fun traditional ice cream shop with all the fixings. This is a perfect summertime stop, though I understand they are open year round. We had onion rings, footlong hotdog, shake and malt. This Zesto location is a hidden gem. Fresh, good food. I have eaten here close to 10 times in the past 6 months. It takes a little longer to get your meal, but it is worth the wait. I went to this Zesto Shoppe when my wife and a few other's went to Florence Days a few weeks ago. I love the old-school ordering system when you step up to the counter, from the outside, and order. I walked up and ordered a large brownie super shake. I received it a few minutes later and it was just okay to me. The brownies were processed brownies and it reminded me of cosmic brownies, which I wasn't too fond of. I like fresh brownies better. Also, the ice cream tasted lie cheap, vanilla ice cream that you get from the store. The price was about $5 for it, which is pretty good for how much you get. Overall, it was just okay. The classic ice cream shop made famous by the College World Series is just what you expect from a little ice cream place. It's a little shack w/ a walk up counter and a drive through. I can get out of control) I have decided soft serve ice cream is not meant for a waffle cone. That didn't stop me from finishing it immediately, though. YUM! I have to say, Zestos exceeded my expectations. I am a New Englander, where we have an abnormally high ice cream stand to population ratio, so I consider myself an ice cream expert. We got the Butterfinger super shake which was delicious! Nice and thick and lots of pieces of the candy. The only down side is that they only have soft serve ice cream. This place is a part of my childhood, a part of my children's childhood and a part of my present. I'm always pleased to find it still open and that I am still able to get a greasy, delightful chili footlong and chocolate malt with all the fixings and go sit by the Missouri river and reminisce. It has changed from the consistency of the past as the original owner has retired and I'm not certain who runs it now. I miss those blue cups with the "zesto" logo on them. I know everything is impermanent, but as long as this place is open, I will go there for my chili footlong and chocolate malt! MUCH love for this place! A Florence staple with the best Ice Cream the city has to offer. Very reasonable prices, and the young people that work here are always kind and patient. Many of them are family members of the owner and know how important the business is to the family/community.
