I haven't had my carpet cleaned for 5+ years. I knew that my late wife had Zerorez clean it the last time and was happy with the results. When I saw the deal for two rooms for $79 I made the appointment easily online. I got an immediate confirmation email for my appointment and a reminder as well before hand. A nice young man named Keenan arrived on time, put on shoes covers and went over the process with me. I opted to clean three stairs also for $15. After pre-spraying the carpet he began cleaning the carpet and answered all of my prying questions. .At one point Keegan pulled the vacuum hose off the cleaning head, covered it with a white cloth before reattaching it, and cleaned a square foot section of carpet. When he pulled it out to show me how much dirt was coming up I was confident that my carpet was getting clean. We talked about the difference between spots and stains. Luckily for me, I had some spots and they all came out. I put out two fans over my now damp carpet and it dried within 10-12 hours. Keegan had placed Styrofoam blocks under my three pieces of furniture that he cleaned under to protect the carpet. Understandably, it was slightly damp underneath when I removed them, so I offset the pieces for an hour. They dried and I put everything back in place. What a difference! My 15+ year old carpet looked like new again. I had a friend look at it and they agreed. I am so happy with the professional service and the results that I received. I think my bill was $109 for the deal, the stairs, fees and taxes. That's fair and about what I expected. I will definitely use Zerorez again, maybe sooner next time. Things to remember: Stains don't always come up like spots do, don't expect miracles. If your carpet requires additional treatments and services expect to pay for it. If you are happy with the 'Service', be sure to tip your technician. He can't help it if you damaged your carpet beyond cleaning perfectly. read more

I was so disappointed in the final product and the cost. Cost: Advertised price was $129 for 3 rooms. But then, suddenly there were extra charges. A fuel fee. An additive fee. A stairs fee. Final cost was $255, double the original cost. Clean? Nope. The day after I had the carpets cleaned, I complained. We had a couple of dog urine spots, which is the main reason we had called. Those spots were still visible. They told me they didn't guarantee getting pet spots. Also, the technicians equipment had left black marks on the stairs. So they send the technician out a second time. He obviously was annoyed. He told me it would take longer for him to set up his equipment than to do this job and reiterated that he couldn't guarantee pet spots (despite the hefty price for an additive). It's been 6 months and all those spots have come back (we no longer let the dogs in that room, so they aren't new spots). Office staff were very polite. Too bad the actual product didn't work. I had these guys come to my house a couple weeks ago and wanted to wait and see if they really got rid of dog urine on the carpet. My two Cocker Spaniels that like to pee on the carpet in a couple areas and my not being able to keep up with it with my home carpet cleaner have been the issue. Zerorez did a wonderful job and my carpet looks great and I only notice a faint trace of the urine smell. By the time they were done, the $109 basic fee for three rooms had gone to over $300 to treat those same three rooms. I felt as though it was a bit of bait and switch technique. Even though the guy on the phone that I made the appointment with stated it was $60/room for chemicals that would break down the urine so they could clean it up. I had them use the chemicals in 2 of the 3 rooms. The fellow who cleaned my carpet suggested a Scotch Guard treatment to keep my carpet from absorbing the urine and other spills that might happen. The bill changing from $109 to over $300 is why they are not getting 5 stars. I wish I would have known "full disclosure" before they started, because I thought the price tripling was a bit much. Also, the two rooms that needed the extra chemicals were small. Why don't they have a square footage charge for the chemicals? They were on time, efficient and very helpful and friendly. read more

We used Zerorez in 2011 (I just started using Yelp) and after several months we started to see yellow stains and high traffic areas like hallways started to show grime much faster even though we don't ware shoes in the house. Something in their cleaning fluid removed the Stainmaster that had protected the carpet be for their cleaning. read more

I am a repeat customer of zerorez and have always gotten satisfactory service results UNTIL now. 23 days ago I had my carpets and rugs cleaned. One rug was taken back to the plant for off-site cleaning (however I paid in advance). I was told to expect a call regarding when the rug would be available. After 10 days I'd not heard from them, so I called. Was told that it normally takes 21 days for a rug to be cleaned at their plant but was told that someone would call me to let me know when it would he ready. Not a peep. After 21 days I called them again. Was told that someone would need to call me back. No call back. On day 23 (today) I called them again at 8am and was told someone would need to call me back. No call back. Called again at 1pm and left a message. As of 2pm, no response. Needless to say I'm frustrated and irritated by their lack of responsiveness and transparency regarding the status of my rug I need my rug back and I need it back clean, now! Zerorez, maybe you'll respond to a YELP review faster than to attempts by a paying customer to contact you in good faith. read more

Had heard the ads on the radio. Our carpets were showing some wear and small spots from our two toddlers. Not pet issues or anything major. Technician came out & spot treated the high traffic areas by hand. That was allowed to sit while he got out the rest of the equipment. He then proceeded to race through the house faster than i can even vacuum. Our service was for 5 rooms, stairs & hallway, all done in 1 hour including getting out the equipment & putting it away. This isn't like vacuuming up dry dirt, this is water & has to be extracted. It takes time to do it well. The 5 high traffic areas I had were less than impressive by the time he was done. So I was skeptical at how well the service was performed. I got out the rented rug doctor from king soopers & proceeded to fill it with nothing but hot tap water. I went over much of the area that our Zero Rez technician did, including the 5 high traffic areas. Again using only hot tap water, I had to empty the dirty water chamber 5 times from 5 different high traffic areas & all 5 times I dumped it out it was gray & dirty. Took the technician 1 hour to do the whole job. Took me 1 hour & 45 minutes to do just the 5 high traffic areas after he was done. Areas he said were "as good as he could get them" now look clean & new. Sent a photo to the company of the dirty gray water from just one of the spots. All they had to say is that they can send someone back out to do it again. Really? This is your answer? No we are sorry that you had to clean your own carpets after our technician did a half hazard job. Did you see the photo? I don't need your guy to come back, I have already finished what he did not. What you need to offer me is a partial refund for having to complete the work myself. read more

From the useless technician who could only tell me what he can't guarantee, what he can't do, what he couldn't promise, to the little teenage manager who does not have the least interest in customers.....certainly has NO customer service skills. Little snot. They walked out on my job because I asked that the carpet not be left wet. I was satisfied with the cleaning twice before, and the technicians weren't daft like little "Dennis". Every carpet cleaning company that I have used 4x per year for the past 16 years gets the same instructions: extract very well. Zerorez managers have no interest in customer satisfaction. This was the first time we tried Zerorez. Ben arrived within the time window the appointment was scheduled for. He did a walk through and I pointed out the trouble spot that never really comes clean. He treated the location and after the cleaning it looked almost new. Ben was very conscientious of the wall corners and stairs, placing protectors to keep the hose from damaging them. I had him clean some tile for us and what an improvement. Best thing about Zerorez is that you don't get the crunchy carpet after it dries. I highly recommend Zerorez and I would ask for Ben. He really did a great job and walked me through all the rooms to make sure I was pleased before he left. read more

The carpet looks great. Zerorez was able to get out tracked oil stains that I've scrubbed by hand more than once and the previous professional carpet cleaners couldn't (a couple years ago). The tech arrived on time. Called when he was 30 minutes out. He was friendly and professional. Job was completed at the advertised amount without trying to up-sell. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is I think there could have been a little more attention to the edges where the carpet meets the wall. That being said the results from Zerorez are far and above my previous experiences with professional carpet cleaning. It simply looks better, dries faster and you aren't left with the residue and "deodorized" carpet smell that comes with other service. read more

I was very please when Zerorez first cleaned my carpets, stairs, and tile. They all came out really well. Three months later, the dirt came back. I called Zerorez and explained my situation and the wanted to charge me full price to reclean. I wasn't very happy that Zerorez wasn't willing to rectify the situation. read more

if you want clean carpets DO NOT use Zerorez. they will not fix mistakes they make or take responsibility for ruining your carpet. we had them clean our new carpet because there were a few pet stains. first time they came out they got the main pet stain out and left behind brownish stains all over the rest of the carpet (about 1000sf area) . had them come out a second time to fix it and the spots got bigger and darker. so they came a third time, made us pay MORE money for some extra service and they got 2 of the spots they previously made mostly out. the rest of the spots are still there, along with a new big brown line across our bedroom floor which they made this last time. they are saying it must be something under our carpet or pad but we replaced everything down to the concrete floor and there's no excuse for this. our expensive wool carpet now looks disgusting and I'm forced to find someone else to clean up their mess. in the meantime they take no responsibility for what happened. they told me to find a restoration company to fix it... I will be telling everyone I know to avoid Zerorez at all costs. read more

This company quoted me $310 to clean my house, including stairs which I specifically counted and shared with Greg, the person in the phone that I booked with. When the tech showed up he said the quote didn't include stairs. They charged me another $140. I called Greg, he remembered speaking with me, he remembered the stairs, admitted it was his fault. But did nothing about the price. THIS IS A SCAM - THEY QUOTE YOU A LOW PRICE THEN WHEN THEY COME TO YOUR HOUSE CHARGE YOU MORE. Zerorez called with a 3 room for $99 special and we worked thru the details of two staircases and kids room. When they arrived, they tried to charge well more than twice as much as the technician defined five (5) stairs as equivalent to one room. Manager was rude and unprofessional and actually accused me of "grabbing" his technician. Stay away from these people!!!! read more

Although I am happy with the outcome of my carpet I am not happy with customer service. I was quoted 278 and I ended up being charged 350.00. They cleaned the carpet of a room that was not scheduled to be cleaned. When I called to inquire about it I was told they would look into it. I had high hopes of good customer service and great looking carpets. Our tech ended up working us over on the price. We agreed to send out our oriental rugs for cleaning, only to receive a call that one was damaged. It wasn't damaged when it left our house. And it took multiple calls to hear back on when the rugs would done completed and delivered, as well as get additional details on the so called damage. Our carpets inside the house do look great. I have waited a long time to write this review because of how incredibly sad my experience with Zerorez has been. If you have indoor pets, please read this. If this review saves even one pet it will be worth it. Initially I was very impressed with ZeroRez after they had cleaned my carpets. The tech was courteous & the carpets looked great. There were, however, sections of the carpets that were soaking wet to the point that water was seeping through my toes. I waited 3 days to put the furniture back in some areas because they were still so damp. I wish that had been the only issue. My real nightmare started shortly after they had left. I noticed that my cat was having a difficult time breathing.Her breathing sounded labored & I could hear her wheezing. I took her to the vet several times but once she was out of the house, her breathing would become normal again. Within the next few days,she continued having breathing problems & wasn't moving around as much as usual but was eating. I left the windows open constantly & was hoping that whatever was happening would clear up. It didn't. Within one week Sadie was suddenly blind. The ER doctor advised that her blood pressure was so high that it caused her retinas to detach. Her blood work showed many of her values were outside of normal ranges. Surprising since her blood work was fine a month prior. Within the next few months she exhibited more symptoms & her health continued to deteriorate. Sadly after a few months, Sadie passed away.She never was able to breathe normally again in my house after the carpets were cleaned. I tried moving her out of the house 3 times after they were cleaned to try to save her. I spent thousands of dollars taking her to multiple vet & ER visits, buying expensive air purifiers, having the carpets recleaned, buying plants to increase indoor air quality & paying for mold/indoor air testing. To say it was heart breaking watching Sadie die the way she did after trying so hard to try to save her is an understatement. It was a horrible experience. During this time, I also started experiencing unusual symptoms. Skin rashes, difficulty breathing, burning eyes, burning throat, difficulty swallowing, blurred vision, a feeling of disorientation, difficulty hearing because of fullness feeling in ears. I decided to rip the carpet & pad out of my entire upstairs. Only after that did my symptoms slowly start diminishing & I was able to get some relief. I lived on subfloors for several months to make sure all of the chemicals were out of the house before installing new flooring. I am extremely disappointed in the fact that ZeroRez took no responsibility for any of this. I have received no assistance and no financial reimbursement from them for any of the expenses that I have incurred. I called them early on to explain that there must have been some type of chemicals left on the carpet because Sadie's breathing issues started immediately after the carpet was cleaned, and she was only experiencing breathing problems when she was in my house - not outside the house. The manager at the time did come over but denied any use of chemicals even with all of the information that I had supplied. The only thing they offered was to reclean the carpets but I explained that I couldn't trust the product they were using so I would hire another company to come & try to remove whatever it was that was on the carpet. When the recleaning didn't work, I contacted ZeroRez several more times for assistance including multiple phone calls to their home office in Utah. None of the calls to the Utah office were returned. After many tearful conversations with two different managers at the local ZeroRez office & their admission that the tech had since been let go because of other customer complaints, the second manager ultimately decided that the burden of proof is on me to show that they made an error the day they cleaned my carpets! It was unbelievable that they would take that stand. I did contact a couple of labs but they advised they couldn't test for multiple chemicals. They would need to know exactly which chemical to test for which, of course, I would have no way of knowing.I also reached out to several Environmental Specialists. One of them mentioned that a family was put in the hospital because a carpet cleaning company accidently cleaned the carpet with the spot cleaner solution instead of the cleaning solution. Regardless,something went terribly wrong the day my carpets were cleaned by ZeroRez & they are taking no responsibility for it. No one should lose their pet or have their family harmed just because they had their carpets cleaned. It's unfathomable to me that ZeroRez would allow a customer to endure a personal & financial loss of this nature & not offer, at a very minimum, to absorb the financial burden. I hope that no one experiences what I have gone through but that this review might be of some help if they do. I miss you every day Sadie! read more

We had an appointment set for the timeframe between 8:00-10:00 After receiving zero confirmation I reached out to confirm the time frame and I was told around 8:00 that they should be there any minute because I was their first job of the day. They called back and I was told they had truck problems but they would be here for SURE by 10:00, which was acceptable. Around 10:30 and still no Zerorez, I called several times over a 30 minute period and there was no answer and after being on hold forever there was a message each time saying the voice mailbox was full. I called Zerorez specifically to have a small carpet repair. When they called to confirm the appointment, I stressed again that this was my MAIN focus and the carpet cleaning was secondary. They sent a tech that had no idea how to repair carpets!!!! I decided since he was there to have him clean the carpets. He did a good job on area rugs however the one stain in the living room that he assured me he could address looked as bad or even worse when he was done. Quote on the phone $129, final cost $450???? I called a rep to complain, he assured me he would get someone out to repair...the appointment came and went. No show!! I called again to complain, rep said he never spoke to me, would listen to the recorded conversation and call me back. NO CALL BACK!! Awful customer service. Originally booked an appointment online and called to reschedule to an earlier date. The tech showed up with incorrect pricing and then went outside to take a personal call and left the job site. While I called the office and spoke to Jenny, the tech took it upon himself to leave. I understand I was his last appt on a Saturday but what an awful experience, to have him just walk out. Unreliable in terms of techs doing their job and the pricing you call to book your appt with and what they want to charge when they show up. I strongly suggest you shop around before you go with zerorez. We made arrangements to have our furniture moved out and cancelled plans to accommodate the appt and end up with having nothing done. Used this company for years and I think their cleaning is great, no complaints there. Our last cleaning resulted in missing belongings. I reached out to zerorez and they won't do anything about it unless I have video evidence. So sad, other people are going lose property and they no longer have my business. They showed up on time and the tech was nice but the 1/2 inch wide blue hose that attached to the cleaning device killed my grass and I have a 50 brown pattern on my front lawn, plus the tech kept walking through our flower bed instead of going around. We were talked into an addon "high traffic area" carpet treatment for an extra $70. All he did was spray something from a plastic hand help spray bottle and rake the carpet. thats the fastest $70 I have ever spent and I am not sure it has helped. I filled out their survey which led me to believe they would contact me about my concerns but after 2 weeks I have not hear anything. We spent almost $200 for their service and I doubt we will use them again. Really disapointed. read more
