On Dec. 12th, they picked up my 2 rugs (1 of which was an old and quite valuable rug I'd gotten in India), charged me $200 up front for cleaning, and then disappeared with my money and rugs. I had read all of the positive reviews and assumed they were legitimate. I have called, emailed, texted, had it elevated to management by the answering service, etc. Nothing. I've submitted a complaint to the BBB, who have also not received any response. I don't know what has happened to this (presumably reputable before) company, but please do NOT use this service! I am angry about the money, but mainly I'm heartbroken that the rug I chose with my deceased husband 35 years ago, after hours of deliberation and drinking endless cups of tea at a rug bazaar in India, has seemingly vanished from the face of the earth. I went through the trouble of moving all my furniture off the floor, but they never showed up. I called three times, but each call went straight to an AI voicemail. I requested a callback to confirm if anyone was coming, but no one responded. I also reached out to Alex, the technician who originally visited, three times via text, but he never replied. These guys have done a decent job a couple times, but last time they sent someone who barely cleaned up the carpet and when we called for them to fix it, they charged us for the re-cleaning even though the tech shone the UV light and said that you could see that the cleaning job was just not finished (streaky UV marks). After a wonderful party, I decided to get the recreation room carpet cleaned. I searched Yelp, found some viable options, and requested a quote. Yelp offered me three other options as well. Within 60 seconds on a Saturday morning, Andrew from MSS gave me a call. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and made a commitment right there on the phone. This response time was phenomenal and the quote very reasonable. Andrew also took the time to explain the "how and the why" things are done to me. I really appreciated that and it gave me a much better understanding of the services I was getting. I waited for two more quotes, which arrived the following Monday. All the quotes were ballpark. Because of his responsiveness, professionalism, and a strong knowledge of the industry, I went with MSS and scheduled the service. MSS was on time, did a fantastic job, including pre-spotting two small areas that had a couple of red wine drops (really not much at all, but still bothersome and noticeable). They took care of the recreation room and the stairs. I was extremely pleased with the service, professionalism and job that was done. That being said, the next day, I noticed one area that seemed to have accumulated some dirt during the drying process, with no foot traffic. The original thought was something was seeping up through the carpet. The owner, Andrew, came out to look at the possibly troublesome area himself. He took care of it right there - on the spot (yes, I went there!). If you need carpets cleaned, I HIGHLY recommend MSS Cleaning. They are very responsive, knowledgeable of industry standards and the latest cleaning techniques, friendly, and completely stand behind their work. Preparing to place my area rugs in their company vehicle, the owner determined that one of area rug wasn't in acceptable condition for cleaning. Upon my deciding not to proceed with having the other matching area rugs cleaned, the owner was most understanding and kind. He returned all of the rugs already in his company vehicle to my home. I needed repair for carpet on my steps and landing call MMS and they told me it would be 200.00 for this repair and I send a pic of the job, they first gave me a time they were going to be at my home and the change it the day before. Anyway the repair man came out pulled the carpet and told me there was no tack strips on my stairs and he could put them in but it would change the price, I asked how much more he said 400.00 to do that, well didn't have much choice at that point so I said go ahead and told him I thought the first quote was a bit low. I view the as the classic bait and switch, it is almost impossible to quote a job with out see it the man did a good job but I did not like the tactics they use to upgrade the coast. read more
