The kitchen wall was removed and a huge beam was installed. All new electrical, plumbing, heating, insulation, tile flooring, cabinets, countertop and windows. It is important to note that before choosing Raul, we did a lot of research and received proposals from many contractors, some of them MUCH more expensive. In the end we really liked Raul's honesty, temperament, attitude and experience. He was also able to keep this extensive remodel within budget. My husband and I went in this past weekend for three different tile purposes (Kitchen Backsplash,…read moreBathroom floor and shower ceiling) and Ralph and Agnes were immensely helpful. Not only did they have a huge variety of options they were very good at keeping within price ranges and showing alternatives to more expensive options. They also helped us look at things we normally would have glossed right over (our kitchen back-splash in particular). We ended up with exactly what we were after despite having no idea what we really wanted going in. The service HUGELY outweighed any Hope Depot/Lowes and the prices were around the same if not cheaper. Not to mention Hope Depot said it would be 2-3 weeks for anything that had to be ordered (which would have been everything as they don't keep much in stock these days) and Village Tile is getting everything to me in less than 2 days... I strongly recommend going here over the big box stores. You will get far better service and support your local business owners!!

But since our kitchen floor beams, walls AND everything had to be ripped out due to mold in Spring '21, we decided to come here based on our contractor's direction. Adria is a family-run business located on a tricky, hard-to-find Nepperhan Ave entrance in Yonkers carrying granite, marble and quartz slabs. The owner(?) was super pleasant and incredibly helpful. Hubs and I knew we wanted an on-trend white quartz look with minimal grey veins to tie the look with Midnight Blue Kraftmaid cabinets we got. We also wanted to kill two birds with the same stone and noticed these folks carry oval and rectangular deep sinks and got the last for our new kitchen. Installation from their part, worked fine. Plus they also worked around our kitchen cabinet contractor's time making the entire job a harmonious one. Reliable. Knowledgeable and professional. They came through perfectly.

The workers did a horrible job applying the caulk. They had to return twice to complete the job. The first time the worker who did measurements was annoyed. The second time, I was told to just buy some caulk and a sponge and apply it. I laughed and said why would I do that...? If that's what I paid for, I said you did not even apply in some spots. They missed areas and when I showed one of the workers they were frustrated. He did not believe me, we went over to the area and with a flash light I had to show him. One of my outlets was bent. I was a little understanding with that but that was carless. In another area the back splash was not cut in line with the outlet box. I showed another area under the cabinets and before I could even show the worker he said we don't do that... Then I said really... I showed him where they did under most of them and for some reason left two areas without caulk. Then another crew member was on the phone with someone arguing. Very unprofessional. On the way out one of the crew members dumped the water from their bucket over my hedges and into my front yard. Also, very unprofessional. I also had to go to the office and have a finishing piece cut. At that time I was asked how did the guys do... I said it was still incomplete. I had an exact piece they needed to duplicate. I picked up the piece and it was off. Over all the office staff was fine but unfortunately the crew was not. I am sure they do good work but they did not for me.

I had some wood floor damage due to a water leak on my central ac/heating unit in my living room and I gotta call a pro before it gets worse . The 3 free estimates that I got were extremely expensive and all 3 places wanted to replace the whole living room floor at the cost of 5100, 5200 and 5400, which I said thanks but no thanks . Finally Morenos and sons made it all work out in a honest and price friendly manner. Everything was explained to me in layman's term and the work was completed in 2 days and job was done first class as floor looks shiny and new. I would recommend moreno and sons floor service for the upfront honest quote, quality of work, reasonable cost ,and most important, they won't rip you off with unneeded work. 4.5 stars on my yelp meter.

After being referred to Armando Moreno by our friend/real estate agent (whom we sincerely trust), we contracted him to paint the entire apartment (top to bottom, bathrooms, hallways, closets, ceilings, everything) and sand/refinish the wood floors. He gave us a VERY competitive price (we got quotes from a few other local contractors) and he assured my wife and I would be very pleased at the end. After 6 days, he had the entire place DONE. The apartment looks BRAND NEW. No exaggeration...it literally looks like a new apartment. We didn't expect the floors to look much different than before, but the wood looks brand new now. I wish I took a "before/after" photo to compare. Armando, his sons, and his team were so meticulous with the entire job. Armando told me he loves what he does and it realllly shows in his work. He also told me he treats every job as if he was working on his own home and after seeing what he did to our home, it's evident. Dealing with Armando was very easy and refreshing. After chatting with him for a bit, I had no doubt I was dealing with a man of good morals, who was honest, and a true professional. At the end of the day, he's a family man that wants to take care of his family. So when he says he will do the job right, he WILL. Wish I could give Moreno and sons 100 stars. No, 1,000,000 stars. I almost never feel compelled to write reviews...this is only my 2nd one since signing up for Yelp. But after Armando and his crew completed work on our apartment, I felt it was necessary to let others know about him. If our friend hadn't told us about Armando, we would have been shopping around and could've hired a "hit or miss" contractor. I, without an ounce of hesitation, recommend Armando's services a million percent. I know he does work in the general New York City area, but not exactly sure where else he covers. If you need work on your home and aren't sure who to go to, do yourself a favor; go with Armando.

He's got a great eye for finding imperfections in your floors and fixing them. Extremely rare find here, with high value.
