I cannot recommend Domenick & Exquisite Tile, highly enough. In late May, I was desperately searching for wall & floor tile, for my bathroom renovations (2 small rooms). My mother drove me to Central Ave, to visit a couple of larger tile showrooms, but they were dismissive of my "tiny" project & I wasn't able to find anything. As we were leaving one of those showrooms, I noticed Exquisite, across Central Ave. and made a bee-line for the store. Domenick greeted us and gave us time to look around. While his showroom is small, the selection is great! All high-quality products, most of which aren't much more (cost-wise) than the run-of-the-mill stuff you find at a big-box store. The biggest difference is in the level of customer service that Domenick provides. He walked me through every step of the decision-making & ordering process. He advised me on how long some of my tile choices would take, to be in stock. And when the tile was available, he hand-delivered to my Queens apartment. There is more than enough stress involved, in renovating your home. Domenick provided us with calm & efficient assistance, truly making our experience EASY and enjoyable. Exquisite Tile had a great selection of tiles and we were assisted well during our selection process. However, there was one major thing we were disappointed about. Our contractor erroneously advised us to purchase approximately 15 more box of tiles which we then purchased but soon realized that we only needed 3 more boxes. We had contacted Exquisite Tile and they accepted the return of the unused boxes. Should we have returned the boxes, we were notified to receive some sort of remittance but we have not received anything. Three months later, we have not received any remittance for the boxes that we had returned. Three weeks ago, we were promised to receive some compensation for the returned tiles but as of today we have not received any nor have we received any communication. read more

Unbelievable in every way. Worth the trips from Briarcliff to Scarsdale for advice and glad to see how many choices there were and ones we did not see elsewhere! Dominic and his wonderful salesman/excellent designer offered us so many wonderful options. They held our hands through the project and everyone we recommended from NYC area to local were equally happy and that made us feel good. They will stop at nothing to make sure you are happy. Btw, we looked around for a long time before coming there and we wasted our time. Every other place had the same thing over and over again and besides that, no one offered the attention we got. I had to retile a small bathroom floor because of a leak. I was replacing marble which was expensive but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Domenick was so helpful! Tile stores are so overwhelming and he completely understood that I wanted to find a tile that looked nice and said trying to match the marble was too risky. He found the perfect tile for the project. 1) He didn't dismiss me when he heard how small the job was (as they did across the street at the Tile Shop). He didn't care that it would be a small order. 2) He didn't try to upsell me to match the marble which may not have coordinated well and 3) Found me a beautiful tile that he said would work with the other tiles and look like it was meant to be there all along. We went to Exquisite because my husband is a huge researcher and was blown away by the reviews. I'm confident all the great reviews are true. Unfortunately we were not as fortunate to experience what all others did. We were basically followed around by an employee who gave us no direction. And who seemed completely unengaged and lacking any desire to help us. We were looking at tiles that didn't belong where we needed them. After reading all the reviews. We thought we would be guided and instructed and educated. Instead, we were followed around by an employee while we tried to figure out what's what on our own. I think the key is to go when the owner is there. We then went across the street to the The Tile Shop and were immediately greeted by a professional salesperson who proactively worked through everything with us. The selection is huge. The service is top notch. Got everything we needed. I'm sorry to write this review. Hope the owner gets enthusiastic knowledgeable employees, or has to end up being there himself.
