Be very careful if you choose to purchase tiles here, especially in cash. The store is beautiful and the salesmen are friendly but they are very disorganized and dishonest. We purchased floor tiles and backsplash tiles. When the time came to pick up the floor tiles at the warehouse we were given the wrong tiles. We noticed once we got home and opened the boxes. When we called, they said the warehouse was closing in 30 mins, that we had to wait until Monday and we were alright with that. We just asked that they confirm the correct ones were in stock and they reassured us. Come Monday when we got to the warehouse and took the sample we had with us, they said it was an old tile and that they no longer had it. They gave us a sample of a different tile to take home. We chose to go with that tile and when we went to the warehouse the third time - we were once again given the wrong one. The same wrong ones we were given the first time. They didn't have the tiles of the 2nd sample they had given us either. In the end we decided to just stay with that one. We then decided to return the backsplash tiles and were told there was a 25% restocking fee - when prior to purchasing everything we were always told we could return anything we didn't use without any mention of a fee. When we came to the store and tried to explain all the difficulties we experienced the manager/owner, Anthony, came out, cut us off, and said the fee was non-negotiable, take it or leave it. In the end the salesman who worked with us from the start, Manny, took care of us. But it was overall a very unpleasant experience. Just think twice maybe thrice before purchasing anything here. It seems like they make up prices for items that they don't even have labeled nor are they aware of what is or isn't in stock in their warehouse. [My bathroom was turned into hell back in May when we became the victims of a quack "contractor" who made a costly and repulsive mess with shower tiles, floor tiles, paint, plumbing, electrical, shower fixtures (list is too long). "XYZ" Company, promised the stars and the moon back then- but a week+ job turned into almost a month. And when my husband expressed discontent, he'd assured us around that time, he would fix his mistakes- yada yada yada. He wanted full payment and considering his lack of bathroom remodeling skills, hubby cut him loose way before he finished. Thought about taking legal action, but it actually cost more than the bathroom itself. And considering what we went through, a DIY wasn't in the plans- either. We turned a new page and are presently working with an excellent, all-inclusive bathroom contractor who takes care of everything that has to do with renovating our bathroom. Our new contractor had to rip and gut out all of the original contractor's work. Mind you, he and his men are indeed professionals, they pinpointed all the disaster done by that a**hole. Our new contractor provided my husband with a written contract, detailing step by step work to be done and prices to match for our bath. Not to mention, our contractor works closely with Quality Tile. Hubby and I, have been eyeing an on-trend bathroom design from the get-go. So when I came to Quality Tile, it was a matter of selecting shower tiles and floor preferences also. And by the way- quality and prices are great. Both my visits with one of their employees- Peter, was fantastic. He took his time and most of all- was patient as I tried to wrap my head around tile size and style. While on the subject, if you want the best results, stop by. I like doing my sh*t face to face and avoid phone calls as much as possible. But I do understand it may not be easy for folks to come here, but you'll obviously get a better glimpse of tiles up close when you're ready to purchase! So why am I posting all this info here? Because that a**hole doesn't have a Yelp page- nor will I create one for him and primarily alert other homeowners to keep all eyes if you're sensing something's way off with your contractor. Maybe I'm being a bit too eager without our bathroom being finished yet- but our new guys are keeping us in the loop every single step of the way. Hubby and I are really into these guys and their professionalism! And they're bringing it twice-fold!! Listen- for the sake of my safety and my home- I thought about mentioning "XYZ's" name and company's name here and just bring him down. But you know what...I won't. Quality Tile is a solid place. I'm currently working on my second apartment renovation in NYC-- we got our first reno bathroom floor tile here and it's gorgeous, so we decided to come back for our new bathroom and kitchen tile. The most important thing for me at a tile shop is the selection. Everything is out on the floor, well-arranged, with good lighting and lots of installed tile on every wall to inspire you. The space isn't Wal-Mart big but it's on the large side for a showroom, especially so close to the city. They've totally redone it since the last time I was here (4 years ago) so they do keep it updated. The prices are decent-- on the expensive side, but negotiable. Ask for the contractor pricing and if you're feeling really bold you can usually work them down even more. The staff is generally nowhere to be found which is nice when you're browsing, but once you need to be written up you can usually find someone at the front desk. One of the most well-organized, easily shop-able tile stores I've been to. Multiple contractors have sent us here so that must be a good sign. Hopefully our second order is as pain-free as our last one, but either way I'll keep this review updated. read more

I was so skeptical I walked around the beautiful showroom for an additional 45 minutes just to make sure I wasn't jumping the gun. They. Have. Everything! It can be overwhelming seeing so much good stuff. One of the tiles I picked out was a marble kitchen countertop! I liked it soo much I wanted it for my walls, lol. Once you have the lay of the show room you'll know what's what and take it from there. Seriously I went to Floor and Decor in Paramus two days before coming here. sticker shock made me not even want to TALK to a sales person. Home Depot is cool but this place has literally UNLIMITED options. There are no prices listed so you have to haggle a bit but its pretty much in line with the big box stores. Only difference is you can actually negotiate with the guys-to a point. Speaking of guys, Peter, m my sales guy was excellent. I gave him the head nod when I was ready and he answered all my questions walked back and forth with me in the show room and cashed me out when I was ready, all while fielding several phone calls and inquiries from other people. Like a burger place, butchers or barbershop-get there early if you want good service and want to get out fast. I went at 9:00 and it was empty. I left at 10:45 and it was picking up steam fast. So for the people complaining about service, wait your turn or try hunting down an orange shirt at Home Depot-good luck. Last thing-talk about customer service. A guy got a ticket while in the store shopping. Anthony multiplied the ticket by two and knocked that off the price! I stopped by the check out what they had. I got a sample and what I like about this place is they give you a full size sample. Not a piece of tile. Anyway I shopped around to other tile locations in the Bronx and I must say Quality offered a great price. The owner Anthony gave me a price and when I went back I was given a different price. Prior to going to Quality Tile, I checked out Lowes and Home Depot but their selection doesn't compare to that of Quality Tile. The showroom displays everything from traditional to contemporary styles. This place can get very busy but the wait time is bearable because the staff is quick. They have a huge warehouse (7 minute drive away) so plenty is in stock. However, I would suggest having your associate call the warehouse to confirm that your selection is in stock. When I went to pick up my tile, it wasn't in stock and so I had to return to the store to pick something else. I would say that was a minor flaw compared to the overall experience. When I had a change of heart on the saddle, the owner (I think his name is Anthony) was very accommodating. This was my first reno and so I didn't know that the actual marble cut could differ slightly in color and veining from the sample. He had his worker take me to the back so I could see the slab as a whole and that was really helpful. I was able to pick a new one and he didn't charge extra. I would definitely return when we take on our next bathroom reno and I would recommend to anyone looking for variety, inspiration, helpful staff and a personable owner. read more

Yes they are super attentive and yes again.....they have SUPER selection. .......BUT.....BUT.....BUT.....here is why I take away 3 stars. The same tile that I saw in lowes for 12 dollars per tile this place it for 23 per tile. I needed what loews had on stock this placed told me that it was a special order and it would take 7 days. Secondly no refunds on special order. I only used 12 of the 18 tiles I purchased at loews and returned 4 and no questions asked about returning. I got my money back no problem. I purchased 4 different tiles and each of the four at quality tile the price was minimum $10 difference. Loews was cheaper and easier. But quality does a a SUPER selection. I had the worst experience here. The owner which is Anthony (Who always is behind the closed office door) was extremely rude. He sold me the wrong tile. He then made me pick them up from 3 separate warehouses, when in fact they should have been delivered to my house (bc I purchased a lot). But since I was in a rush, I did with no complaint. Each warehouse gave me the wrong tile. The tiles are facing downward in the box so you don't know what your getting (So please look). They gave me the wrong # because on the receipt these people are shady. They write the sq footage not the # of tiles your supposed to receive (So your on your own trying to count and do the math). When I finally came back with the wrong tile, he didnt want to refund me my money. He didn't even want to do the even exchange. He said the tile I needed was way more. Now after I threatened to call cops he said he would refund my money less 5%. What kind of BS is this I said. after calling cops, I realized he has done this to many people. Guys Don't be fooled by this fugazzi tile store. They have a good farad bc of their display but the customer service is TERRIBLE and they are crooks. Go to Gentile tile. Fantastic selection of tiles, both in style, quality and price to meet your (my) every need. I purchased here a couple of times before writing this review so here are some nuggets of wisdom: (1) Don't buy anything on your first visit. If you like any of their tiles, ask for samples. They will happily supply them to you for free. Go home with them, test them out in your space. Some times you end up liking something that was your 4th or 5th choice. QT does NOT give refunds, only exchanges. Plus, it stinks to haul those heavy boxes of tiles back. (2) Using those samples, SHOP AROUND at Home Depot, Lowes, the other tile warehouse down Boston Road and left, on the internet, etc. QT does not automatically give you the lowest prices. I found this out after going home with my sample and pricing it on the internet. (3) Go back or call QT and tell your salesman about the price you were quoted and which store offered that price. They will match or even beat the price you were quoted. QT does discount but you have to EARN your discount. Caveat: While I was hanging out there, waiting to place my special order, I saw a bunch of different contractors come through and some were apparently known to the QT sales guys where it seems the contractor(s) have their fave sales guys and wait to deal with that specific guy. They get special prices right off the bat. I guess the sales guy knows how much different contractors will pay for something and/or those contractors give QT a high volume of business. Quite understandable and I applaud capitalism at work. HOWEVER, little homeowners really need to go there, armed with research to argue for a great discount. But when you get it, the price is super-sweet! P.S.- Last piece of advice, leave plenty of time to look for parking. This is one the worst businesses in the Bronx. Frankly speaking, the management folks at Quality Tile are more like crooks that businessmen. Primary reason, they'll overcharge you, so you are much better off shopping elsewhere. Second, despite they tell you- returns are accepted, when you actually need to return any items they'll charge a 25% handling charge. Not only they charge you a 25% handling charge, they are literally hostile to you, as if returning materials is a crime. In addition to the 25% handling charge, they will cheat you with base price by estimating a superficial price on the returned items. I'll NEVER DO BUSINESS with Quality Tile. I waited a couple hours to post this so I didn't post it in complete rage and I'm going to echo another's opinion that if I could give zero stars I would.. I went to this store on the recommendation of my tile guy as we are renovating the master bathroom. The store is massive and there is a huge selection but I was in the store for an hour and forty five minutes the first time and not one salesperson offered any assistance. I went back the second time with my measurements and an idea of what I wanted. I asked for help this time. I told the guy I wanted white quartz with gray in it. He walked me over to a wall and pointed to white with gray, I said perfect, he wrote up the order, I paid 1000 dollars for the quartz and a couple other things. My husband picked up the quartz yesterday. It was a plain white quartz. This is not what I ordered!! On top of wrong color, we were missing one piece. I went back to store today, giving the guy the benefit of the doubt I went over to the wall I picked it from thinking maybe he was pointing to a white and I agreed misunderstanding. There was NO pure white quartz anywhere on the wall I picked my quartz from. I asked to speak to the man my tile guy works with, they send over the guy who took the order wrong. After hearing what I have to say, he walks away to get someone else and they proceed to leave me and my 2 small children standing there for 30 minutes!! Order guy comes back says "that quartz doesn't come in the size you need" I say "why didn't you tell me that" then he says "I think I asked you what color your wall tile is and you said white and that's why I wrote white" None of these excuses are MY problem!! He brings my receipt to the guy my tiler deals with who has now disappeared to the back of the store and I found out later that guy is calling my husband in the back to say they won't take it back. He won't even come out and tell me after waiting a half hour to talk to him! My walls and shower are all white, I would have never picked all white quartz for countertops and WHY would I drag my kids out in the rain to Boston Post Road the very morning after discovering it was wrong to lie to them??? As far as I'm concerned they robbed me of 800$. They're dishonest and dishonorable and I was so upset I left and cried in front of my children. Disgusted! read more

The selection of tiles is excellent. However since the merchandise is not their in that same location, but in warehouse. It has to be picked up by the customer or wait until it's deliver to store. I am the type of person that does a lot of research. I visited many tile distributors shops...while this isn't the fanciest showroom, they had exactly what I wanted! I changed my mind a number of times and their return and credit policy was easy...and this place still believes in an old fashioned handshake...on top of that, they matched or beat prices. I love my tile and enjoyed working with Anthony P.....the only drawback was the lack of parking...but I went in very early...and all was fine. These guys are the biggest crooks in the tile business. First off, you can walk into their showroom and walk around for an hour before anyone even acknowledges your presence. If you get anyone to answer a question for you, they will give you a vague answer while they are walking away to go take care of something else. I was given incorrect information about a tile only having one color available when in fact there were many more. They just didn't have any other colors in stock. They will tell you they have something in stock when they don't. Sometimes they have half of the amount you need and tell you that the rest is in their warehouse when in fact it isn't. This causes you to wait for the rest of the order to come in which usually takes weeks. If you buy something that they have in stock they tell you that you can return it. However when you go to return it they try to give you less money than what you paid. They do have a lot of tile in stock but you can find any of the tiles they carry at more reputable stores and usually for less money. These guys think they're the only tile store around with their attitude. Avoid this place like the plague. read more
