I needed a cleaner with experience and solid reputation, read the reviews here, saw the price issues but good cleangin expertise, so I decided to call them ahead of time for pricing. Totally described the dress (prom, long, heavily beaded, not dry clean but wet clean, and the hem only, not hte dress). They were great on the phone, quoted a price. So I drove out the next day, reconfirmed the cost with the employee at the counter, and left feeling confident. Four hours later, the store called my house and said they couldn't do it for "that price" and "it was quoted wrong" to me (really? it was quoted 2 seperate days, by two seperate people - once fully described by me over the phone, the other with the dress in front of them). They told me it would cost more than double what I had been quoted! I said no to that new price, asked them to honor what they told me, and they told me to "come pick it up". I asked if they could deliver it to me since they are not exactly close to me. She said she was "too busy" and "had no cars that late in the day" (2pm) and they'd get to it "sometime next week". I was not happy and asked for the manager. SHE was the manager! She then told me to call Tom Zengeler and gave me a number. I called it, left a full explaination message, and even said I was sorry he had to take calls from customer on problems like this, but asked for a call back to talk about this. He never returned my call - that day, or the next, or even the following Monday. I left him a second message which still is not returned (and yes, I was mad in today's call, not my best tone of voice at all). I have since driven to the store again and picked up the dress myself. I will find another cleaner. I have never left a bad review of a place, but this situation stinks! The previous reviewers are completely right - this place is bad news on pricing! Feels like bait and switch. The service may be wonderful. I don't know since my dress was never cleaned. Sadly, I thought they were good guys, and even though I don't often use a dry cleaner, I have totally supported them in the past by donating prom dresses and shoes to their "Glass Slipper Project". THAT won't be happening again, and that hurts the girls who need those dresses/shoes! So sad. Didn't need to happen. Do they do this to everyone?? read more
