this place is run by incompetent staff that don't understand the difference between "dry clean" and "launder". they ruined a $695 dollar jacket that was supposed to be DRY CLEANED and now is two sizes two small - absolutely worthless. you will be hearing from me (maybe), the BBB, and the attorney generals office. who knows what else they are LAUNDERING :) read more

THE Tide Cleaners on Half Day Road in Buffalo Grove, IL. is managed by Mercedes, a very Aggressive, Dishonest, Unhealthy, Pathetic person who lied to me about a mistake that cost me $600. I brought in a very expensive linen summer jacket for her to dry clean to remove a few spots after just wearing it for a couple weeks. When I picked it up and brought it home, it was shrunk by at least 2-3 sizes. Although I paid for it to be dry-cleaned, it was obviously laundered. When I brought it in to show her, she was extremely aggressive to me, refused to listen to my concerns and kicked me out of her store. This to me is not a very proper way to run a business. I asked her to please send it into the corporate offices to see what she could do to offset the $600 I spent to replace the jacket, and she simply refused to do that, and took no responsibility for the mistake made by one of her employees. My MESSAGE to anyone who takes their clothes to be dry cleaned is: STAY AWAY, unless you are willing the risk of their workers to cheat you out of your money by taking the price to dry clean, but instead launder at a cheaper rate, and in the process ruining your good clothes. THE PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF, just as other complaints before my review said. STAY AWAY! Here is a review from earlier this month: The review by Chance G. said it all, and I quote from Oct. 23, 2025 had the exact same problem as me: "this place is run by incompetent staff that don't understand the difference between "dry clean" and "launder". they ruined a $695 dollar jacket that was supposed to be DRY CLEANED and now is two sizes two small - absolutely worthless." read more

Worst service and bait and switch with pricing. Every time I am told one price then when I pick up the items it's magically a different price. Quality of dry cleaning sucks as they do not properly clean items. Also the pick up is never ready when they say it is supposed to be. read more

I havent needed to use a dry-cleaner in a while.... but after doing some camping this summer needed to have my sleeping bag cleaned. I knew there was this new cleaners up the road and decided to give them a try. I was enticed by the fact you can drive-through, and that they would most likely have nice brand-new, big machines. Pulled up and some young kid came out to help me. Dropping off was super quick and easy, and i signed up with an account to get future coupons and what-not. When i came to pick-up, i just opened the trunk and the threw the stuff right in for me. Seems like a great cleaners. I'm satisfied so far!! I love that they do coupons and make it easy to get in and out! I'll be back for my cleaning needs read more

Tide Cleanera in Buffalo Grove is run by a rude, obnoxious person. after taking an open fronted jacket in (no closures) I found a label ironed in the front where it was visible as I wore it. they did remove the la el but left a gray mark where the label had been. she said sorry, but that's how they do things. I was welcome to leave and to not return. read more

Tide Cleaners - This is what remained after she took the label off. - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Buffalo Grove, Illinois

Let me begin by stating that this review is specific to Buffalo grove, IL tide dry cleaners. We used several tide dry cleaner franchises as both my wife and I needed a convenient way for dropping and picking up dry cleaning on a weekly basis. However, we had the unfortunate and unpleasant experience with Buffalo Grove franchise where a particular employee (named Mercedes) was extremely rude to us, did not return our clothes (which were due for pick up), asked us to go search and find our clothes in the store, and eventually asked us to leave the store without giving back all our clothes. The store employee has threatened my wife and me verbally, was extremely aggressive and abusive. Further, she abused her access to our phone records in the system and called us later to tell us we need to comeback and pick up our clothes immediately (i.e., during non business hours). Need less to say, we are terrified with this experience and the employee behavior. I hope no one else has to go through this again. I suspect it could be because of our race (we are Indians). If you are a person of color, please be careful with Buffalo Grove store and their employees. We are looking into possibly following up in legal action against the store and it's owner holding them responsible. If anyone had a similar experience, please reach out to us. read more

Hi Everyone. I really like this servicer and the location. It is convenient, drive thru, after hour pick up and drop off. Auto pay. The clothes is always clean and crisp. I can trust them with any garment. But what compelled me to write this review is what I found in the fresh load I have picked up. I found the small bag in a garment bag all by itself. My first thought was that something has slipped off the the hanger, then I realized what it was. I'm attaching the picture for all to see. I will recommend Tide Dry-cleaners to everyone. I am now a customer for life. My husband has a tendency of not always emptying his pockets and I obviously overlooked the $20 bill. Well, Tide returned it to me. Thank you guys for your professionalism and honesty. I so appreciate it. You Rock! read more

Tide Cleaners - A $20 bill I got back with my dry cleaning order - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Buffalo Grove, Illinois

I had the horrific experience. I request the owner of Tide Dry Cleaners- Buffalo Grove to give me a call. I (Mansi P) am a frequent and a loyal customer with huge orders, you can check my orders in your system. The person named Mercedez told me to get out of the store when I started recording her extremely rude behavior with me, when she was telling me to get out and grab my own clothes. She showed that because I requested her to wait for me additional 5 minutes because I was getting there by close of business. Please watch your store footage. As I requested for that because I had come in to drop off another heavy order of 20 clothes and as well pick up my order. This is completely unacceptable and I am extremely disappointed with the service I experiencEd only at this location of Buffalo Grove. read more

I generally wouldn't review a franchise business because I avoid them like the plague ! Most franchises ie. (restaurants) do not have my best interests in mind. Food comes in frozen, nothing is fresh..... Eeecchhh Ok, that's out of the way ! Tide dry cleaners is my go to for quality dry cleaning. I've been highly disappointed with the plethora of one price dry cleaners that have dominated the landscape lately. Shirts get dropped off and come back with the same stains as when they were dropped off, with little arrows pointing to the stains, saying they can't get them out without ruining the fabric. This doesn't happen at Tide, staff is very accomodating and usually is staffed well. This dry cleaner might be a little more expensive than some but you get what you pay for. read more

There is a valet entrance so you don't even have to walk if it's raining, they'll come talk to you. They also have a delivery service. The cleaning products are green and the staff is so nice and well informed. I also am getting 50% off this order since it's my first time there. Dropped the clothes off around 5 on Tuesday and they said the clothes will be done Wednesday after 5. Quick turn around and I didn't ask for it to be rushed. read more

Tide Cleaners - Outside look - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Buffalo Grove, Illinois

I am so incredibly disappointed with this dry cleaner. I've been coming here for over seven years and have not once complained about anything. I had a shirt lost that was magically found year later (put in with an order) I never complained. A few months ago I had a white suit jacket returned to me that came back gray and I never complained. But this last time my favorite white suit jacket came back gray and I took it back along with the last one and the manager was not only rude, but insinuated that the jackets were either that color or I ruined them myself and brought them in. Not once did they offer to re-clean it and not once did they apologize. years of coming here, thousands of dollars spent here and nothing. customer service is clearly not a priority for them. I will not be coming back. If you remotely care about your whites or linens, I suggest going elsewhere. Although the rest of the staff has been great, this place is overpriced, the manager is rude and the quality is below average. read more

In comparison to cost of cleaning, there is no more expensive cleaners in Buffalo Grove. When we spoke yesterday, your representative was comparing prices to Zengeler who has been in the industry since 1857. They are located in Long Grove and other locations and do have a good reputation, but expensive. Are far as buffalo grove this is by far the most expensive cleaners I have found. Hands down. Just my thoughts. Very friendly staff, but hard to swallow the prices. Update. After getting the cloths out of the bag and wearing them there is no noticeable difference than my normal dry cleaner. Two golf shirts came back with spots. This was supposed to be the cats meow of cleaners. Unimpressed. read more

First off let me say that I have used several dry cleaners in and around the area. I was previously driving to CD1Price which did a good job for a good price. My feeling personally is its too far compared to where I live and Tide in my opinion blows them away and is just around the corner. So super easy to get to. Here are some of my thoughts. Pros: They are super friendly and bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. They are lighting quick with their service You always know when your cleaning is ready with a email and can pick it up after hours with a automatic machine. Who does that!!?? Awesome!!! Close always come back undamaged, clean, and smelling fresh. Drive through service and little to no waiting. I love this dry cleaner and you will too. Cons: A little pricey but they have coupons fairly often. I have been super happy since they have opened and look forward to long relationship with this Tide location. read more

Tide clean the drapes and my living room. They were extremely filthy with the dogs always running back and forth and pushing out of the way. I didn't think that they were ever going to clean and that the material was not going to fall apart. I received them back today and for a mere $20 each, they look absolutely brand new. I highly recommend tide for dry cleaning drapes read more

I am not being paid to write this review, nor did I receive any freebies or perks to give high marks. This new place in BG really does deserve the 5 stars! My son had his shirts laundered & I had dry cleaning that was done above & beyond. I'm not one to go all nutso on praise, but this place is very impressive, great customer service, the clothes smell fresh, not chemically. Great service perks such as our own drop off bag that is labeled & barcoded for just us. They keep a record of how we will prefer our laundry done. One can even pull up & someone will come out to collect your drop off (Great for busy moms w/ kids in the car & for seniors who would have to park, get out, etc). I really like this new place. Great business ethic, professional, friendly, love the freshness of our clothes, and I WILL be making this our regular go to spot from now on! Welcome to the neighborhood, Tide! read more

I decided to try this dry cleaner after my favorite dry cleaner closed permanently. I had planned to have several pieces of clothing cleaned until I saw the prices. I opted to have one cleaned to test the service. The counter girl advised me that I would receive an email when my order was ready. She did not say "it will be ready after 5 on such and such day." After several days of waiting and never receiving an email, I decided to try and pick it up anyway. It was ready and I did get a new customer one time discount. Between the very high cost and misinformation, I'll go elsewhere. read more

Cute, clean and convenient dry cleaners with what I thought I saw to be a drive-thru. Friendly employees, although they were all pretty young. Quick service, no waiting in line. Only downside is that the prices seemed a bit higher than what I've seen but then again, I haven't done a whole lot of dry cleaning in my life. Luckily, I had a coupon for 50% off my first order! Ended up costing about $20 for three shirts and two dresses. My clothes were ready to be picked up by the next day. read more

Prices are ridiculously expensive. $15 to dry clean a dress? How much did I pay to purchase the dress? Even at their advertised promo discount of 50% off, $7.49 was hard to swallow. I should have asked about the prices before dropping off my dress. Not going back, EVER! read more

Great first experience at this location! Angelica was super friendly and knowledgeable helping me get a rush order for a king size comforter and the order was complete hours ahead of schedule and I will now have a very happy wife later, thank you guys! read more

It's 10:09 on a Sunday. Their hours are 10-3, but not open. Disappointing. One main reason I switched to this cleaner is because they are open on Sunday. Go figure. read more

This is a great dry cleaner. Outstanding service, friendly staff and reasonable prices. They actually noticed some broken buttons on a couple of my shirts and replaced them for me. read more

Ii think this place has great customer service. They are so far above the curve having a automated service when they are closed. Plus they are open on Sunday. Great place( read more

Good quality, but prices are significantly higher than competition. They used to send coupons, but that stopped. Multiple requests to send coupons in the email did not produce any result. Random mistakes (like dry cleaning a shirt and charging $5 for it). Cannot recommend. read more

I dropped of a brand new, right out of the package king duvet cover and 2 king shams. They came back quite damaged. No one from the store called me to inform me of the situation. I use the pick up and delivery service so was quite surprised to find my 3 items damaged upon delivery. Went to the store and first spoke to the woman at the counter who was very nice. Upon seeing the damage, she went to speak to the manager who told her the damage was due to a manufacturers defect; he didn't even look at the items. I could easily see him from the front counter but he didn't find it important enough to come out to speak to me. I was more upset that he could have cared less to actually take a few minutes to speak with me. I flagged him down so he had to come to the counter. At that point, I was so angry and told him to close my account. I took my damaged new bedding back to Bloomingdale's and they happily gave me new pieces. I returned home and washed and dried the duvet and shams which came out perfectly. As a result of poor customer service from the manager, I will no longer do business with Tide Dry Cleaners in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. I'm going back to Zenglers. read more

DO NOT bring your clothes here. On Tuesday I dropped off 16 items (14 sweaters and 2 dress shirts), when I went to pick up my clothes they only had 9 of my items. The ticket they gave me clearly had 16 listed as the number of items. The girl counted it out with me. They are now disputing my original ticket and saying I only dropped off 9 items. I now have to review security footage with them. HORRIBLE! read more

I've been coming here for several months now. They are reliable and have great customer service. I also like the quality of their work. The prices are a bit high, but I don't mind paying for the added convenience of 24-hour pick up and drop off and getting excellent service. Would be 5 stars if prices were a bit lower. read more

Was visiting and needed a few clothes dry cleaned, thought I would try this as there is no Tide dry cleaners near me. This is a New business with what appears to be state of the art equipment. They really seemed to be trying hard and the young owner was very friendly. I have to say, they have the best dry cleaning feature I have ever seen. It's a 24 hour ATM for clothes. You drop your clothes off anytime and pick them up Any time, day or night! I can't wait till there's something like this near me. The clothes were dry cleaned well and the pricing was low for Los Angeles, not sure how it compares to other places in the area. read more

I love the special touches and care they provide for the same cost as other cleaners. Besides replacing buttons, sewing tears, they went so far as to repair and remove stains on a laffette jacket I had bought on a bargain basement sale for $60, making look like new. Seriously above and beyond all for the cost of the cleaning. read more

Absolutely wonderful service! Friendly, attentive, helpful, reasonable, and timely! You've got our business! Bye bye #RainbowCleaners!

I am so impressed with this business! I have shopped around town for a decent cleaners (mainly for laundering men's shirts) and this is the best by far! The front counter staff are genuinely friendly, the drive up option is a wonderful bonus!! The prices are comparable to what is in the area. The best part: the shirts smell great!! Fresh and clean, not that chemical odor that come from other cleaners. I am also impressed by the way this business uses the latest technology to mark and track clothing, nothing goes missing! read more

Great job with alterations. I had a pair of hunting pants and zipper repaired. They did a fantastic job!

My experience with the new Tide Dry Cleaners was fantastic. The staff (Diane rocks!) was friendly, eager to help in any way, and the place itself is very appealing. No more dark, dingy, frequently lost items and smelly dry cleaners for me! The clothes themselves were perfectly cleaned and pressed. This really raises the bar for dry cleaners everywhere.
