Over the past few months, I've tried to overlook how my years of loyalty were suddenly unfamiliar, that I had to provide my name/number, that my preferences needed to be restated, that longstanding operating methods had changed. I overlooked the change in service - but appreciated that I could now use a credit card. But then the cleaning chemicals changed; my clothes suddenly had a foul odor. The care in handling of my garments declined, and it was clear that steps were removed from the former Norgetown way. I wasn't ready to let them tailor my clothes as Sue had until they earned my trust again, alas they won't get that chance. Today, after unpacking my recent cleaning, I discovered that my favorite pair of pants that Sue had cleaned for quite some time had suddenly shrunk in length (and nope, I'm not taller or heavier!); they look absurd now - and they simply can't be replaced. Clearly Sue had used a different method, and now my signature pants are no more. They were expensive, but now I know they were priceless. I'm heartbroken and angry. I had also recently requested an attempt be made to remove a spot on my blazer - they marked it, but missed it; I was ultimately able to remove it myself, so that left me disappointed in their service and attention to detail. Other pants were suddenly filled with static in a way that they never were after cleaning previously, and now they all cling to my leg in an unsightly way. Ugh! And my clothes still reek of this new chemical. Disgusting. With kindness I wish this new staff the best of luck as they find their way and build trust with new customers, but I'm never going back. Two stars - but only for the faded memories of the former seven star service.

I dropped off some clothing, including an expensive shirt I bought recently that was getting dry cleaned for the first time. When I picked my items up I noticed that the graphic on the shirt looked like it had been scraped off in multiple areas. I showed it to the employee there and she literally told me, "Return it back to where you bought it from. The manufacturer has incorrect cleaning instructions on the washtag and it's not our fault". As if Versace made a mistake! As if any store is going to let you return a damaged shirt! They promised me that they would get it fixed and to come back next week. I came back and guess what? The shirt is in EVEN WORSE condition (I attached a pic). The employees continued to try and blame the clothing brand instead of taking responsibility. Not only that, but they refused to offer me any type of compensation. I had to argue with the employee just to get a refund for this even though they ruined it!!!! Take my advice and the advice of the other guy who had their clothing messed up by this place... don't come here.

With basically no hope left and reading excellent beyond excellent reviews regarding this cleaner, I figured: why not?!? What's the worst that can happen?! Upon stepping into this place, I was greeted by the lovely Mimi. She, too, was scared of the abomination that were my three, large winter coats. Kindly note that this place is small but organized, it's bright and pretty clean. Anywho, I digress. Lovely Mimi said she would definitely try her hardest to clean them but she couldn't make any promises. I appreciated her candor and I told her to work her magic. She was so sweet acknowledging my comment and I left there with nothing but a wish. Fast forward to now and Mimi texted me letting me know my costs were ready for pick up. I picked them up and legit was shocked. She was able to turn my gross jackets into something of wonder and happiness. She cleaned the heck outta of those jackets; no mold, no smell, no dust, nothing gross...Mimi and her magic hands pulled out a magic wand over my jackets and made them brand new again. I would take my pants, skirts, tube tops, whatever you want, to Mimi, who does all the hemming at her workstation by the front window. Maybe needless to say, but they also do shoe repair, dry cleaning, pressing and the like here!! I find their hours and location convenient to drop in and have not tried the pick-up and drop off service, but it's darn swell that they offer it. Prices are good too. I'll be back.
