Definitely spoke too soon about this place. Very frustrated with my last visit before my trip to Portugal. Came for a dip with design and pedicure during happy hour. Happy hour only applies to the base price which I wasn't aware of but was cool with. My pedicure was fine and actually pretty good but my nails were a different story... I appreciate the tech explaining how almond shape looks better with longer nails but he made me feel like it was a big ask to do short almonds. The most frustrating part was the design I showed him which I thought was simple in the end I found out he couldn't do. Because of this, I ended up with basic French nails that they charged me $25 for. If the tech couldn't do the design I wanted I wouldn't have even gotten French tips. When I said I've gotten the design other places he stated that maybe I should go there. Very sound advice that I plan to take. I don't plan on returning to Zen after this last experience. read more

I got a dip manicure. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Initially I wanted a nudie beige color, When she did the first nail I didn't like the color and so I asked her to change it. she changed it without hesitation, some nail techs get upset about this. There wasn't anything done to my cuticles but you can add cuticle care for an additional amount. When I return I definitely will add cuticle care to my next service. read more

My appt was for 6:30. I walked through the door at 6:33. Was not offered a drink when others while others were offered something right in front of me. Knew what color I wanted and sat down. Waited 20 min for Richard to see me. He put foil on my nails to remove former gel polish, Then waited an additional 20-25 min (I had to ask where he went as he was nowhere to be found)-he left on a SMOKE break outside, came in w/ a backpack on as if he had left & came back from somewhere smelling like smoke so bad I had to hold my breath while he worked on my nails. He barely removed any polish & was about to put the foil back on when I kindly asked if there was a quicker way to remove the gel. He took out another tool & removed it faster but also took off part of my real nails. At this point my nose was so sensitive to the smoke I had to turn my face while he continued. Then I kindly ask for him to file my nails more when he replies, "YOU DO IT YOURSELF" and hands me the file. Lol like what?! I told him thank you & got up to leave & asked how much I owed (not having any polish my nails bare). Save your time & money & RUN from this place. I had originally gone in months ago for pedi & mani but their practices & nail regimen & customer service is not up to par. To make matters worse there was some weird nail polish that transferred from his hands to mine when he removed my polish. Will not be returning here and neither should you. read more
