Great staff even though there has been a high turnover in the last year. I paid the for Cabbage Patch membership because I was tired of medical patients walking in and being serviced before me. Cabbage Patch membership has been painful to navigate, bar codes don't work for cashiers who end up having to manually enter information, discounts can't be seen and managers are often called. Instead of Improving the service, Zen Leaf has decided to discontinue the service. I feel like such a guinea pig. Please create a separate experience (room or cash register) for medical patients and so you don't piss off recreational users who appear to be the bulk of customers coming in. read more

By far the nicest staff I've ever met at any place like this. I never feel rushed or unwelcome, and I don't mind medical users being prioritized. I feel that's how it should be. Someone with glaucoma or something should be able to get what they need sooner than someone who is just looking to take the edge off for an afternoon or watch cartoons. read more

As an EU folk from abroad (with illegalized weed), ZenLeaf was my first dispensary. So I'm not familiar other shops, and only consume recreational stuff. I'm just a noob in weed. The guys and girls from the dispensayr were always very kind, and helpful. Nice atmosphere inside.. Bought 4-5x times here, mainly Verano prerolls. (Cherry Gorilla etc). Last time I tried an edible cracker. Kicked my butt from the Universe : D Also Dogwalkers minirolls, my first indica set. When going to a dispensary, I bring my ID and cash. When you join a dispensary, you are asked if youre a veteran so they can give you a discount and they ask you to produce an ID or veternveteran identifier. I did theae things when they opened. Then they expanded and experienced institutional amnesia; I go to the teller, show my ID. I ask to make sure my eteran discount is being applied. The clerk states that ALL VETERANS GET A DD214 OR HAVE veteran on their IDs or just anyone can go around claiming to be a veteran. I asked if he could chekc my account to see those items and end the dispute. He said no, there was nothing on my account and that he cannot give the diccountt because he cannot verify that I am a veteran and says I was active not reserve so I got this and he ahows me his veteran ID card he printed from the VA online which literally anyone can replicate. I told him I was in three branches of swr ice and active, inactive, reserve and deployed. He said sorry. I took my weed and left, but not before this big Mexican dude came over to us as a customer and offered to pay for my weed. I almost cried. If it werent for him, the reller would have had a rough time getting me to leave. I went home, dug out my military file, put on my bdo top and boots and drove back to Zenleaf amd asked thw security officer to produce the teller that told me I was not a veteran and asked for my discount. They would jpt bring him out from the bacl and did not require him to apologize. Then they sent a peo. Assistant manager to intervene, who got ao close to me gis own security had to tell him to back up. I told him my plight. He asked to see my documents. I showed him my documents. He went back to main manager who also wpuld kot come out. The security officer was a vet and saw this all and said the teller was wrong and the assistant manager was too aggressive He said he also doesnt carry around a veterans ID to shove in peoles faces. Some people need a badge to hide behind. The assistant manager offerred me 22% diacpunt cards for the disrespect. I got no apology except from the veteran excop security guard. I brought my better half to witness this. Last thing I said before I walked out the door and threw away the coupons was, "You know Im gonna yelp the shit out of this place" to which the assistant manager replied "I know". Took 25 minutes to be spoken to and checked out for a 1 item order I placed during a time when there was 3 customers in the store. I think it's terrible company policy to prioritize "medical" customers before recreational and even more so to completely ignore recreational customers for almost half an hour to cater to people who just walked in the store. read more

Absolutely everyone that I have been in contact with at this dispensary has been amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I have never had a bad experience here. They often give me suggestions of items to try. Of course, some work, some don't but the overall majority of what they recommend has been very good and worked exactly as they described. read more

It's has great options but honestly it's really slow. They're usually low staffed and makes the whole process slower. When you have more than 3 customers in line it would be ideal to open another cash register, just to clear out the traffic. Not here. They Take their sweet time. read more

It's only OK compared to other dispensaries in the area. The "loyalty points" system is trash, you hardly get anything even if you buy a lot. And their return policy is HORRIBLE. I recently bought a broken cartridge from this place and when I tried to exchange it in the store, they turned me away and gave me a "customer care" card instead. If you call the number on the website, it's an automated voice. How is it customer care if I can't even speak to a real person? They said it would take up to a week. Obviously, if I wanted to buy it next week then I would have bought it next week, not today. In other dispensaries, I could go right in and exchange the product if it is busted and leaking. Will never be buying from this place again! The only reason I gave it two stars is because the friendly staff. UPDATE: they gave me an $80 credit for a $120 product, when I asked for a refund. TLDR - Go to greenhouse for honest service and much better sales. Soooo.... I feel like I just got robbed. Zen leaf stealing your loyalty points like some kinda smilin', gaslighting, gangsters.... WOW... So upset. I mean 80 dollar eighths are one thing, but the customer service when the mistake is all theirs is infuriating. Called ahead, just to make sure they transferred a substantial amount of points from when It was MEDMEN who used to "conveniently" run out of sale bonuses only to tell you your out of luck.... HOURS into DAYS long sales. Multiple times.. (this alone was enough to make me start checking the other dispensaries) Was told they didn't have my info, but if I could show bank statements, they'd honor. Went through statements and found the large purchases and decided to trust them again (my mistake). Showed up to be told that was false and I'd have to take it up with corporate... Pretty fishy to make me jump more hoops, but I'm already here so here we go. Get to cashier only to be gaslit further by what seems like a script from both the cashier and manager trying to make it my fault. Didn't work.... I wasn't mean but I know when I'm being played. Told them I had little faith that "corporate" would be getting back to me and was told I should work harder to follow it up and get what I'm owed from this shady dispensary.... Not too cool. Bought two vape carts and 1g of live sugar. Products seem to have been stored upside down: live sugar spilled all over the container and lid, and both cartridges were placed upside down in their sealed containers- leaving the oil stuck on top, and the wick dry. If I didn't know any better, I would've lit the dry wick and ruined my cartridge. For the prices you're charging people, there's no excuse to not do some quality control to prevent a customer from receiving three faulty products read more

I have been to Zenleaf Evanston 7 times. My first visit they answered the phone MedMen & the name listed with the state was Vera Life or someting similar. No air conditioning & constant construction sound loud enough to make hearing next to impossible. I paid a different price for the exact same product 7 times. A manager is needed at POS to get rewards discount but they don't always do it right. I went in with 214 points, used 200 but when I checked later I had 305. WTF? A manager was needed to complete the order every time. I placed the order online, clicked senior discount & put in the notes I wanted to use my reward points. At POS the clerk couldn't see any of that & wanted to charge me full price. Again, WTF? Policies vary between stores. No senior discount at Rogers Park but 10% in Evanston. Do I need to say WTF? Again? The stores are 15 minutes apart. Lots of I'm sorry, but never even a free t shirt. Illinois governor just signed a bill to issue 110 new dispensary licenses. Watch Out! The new ones pretty much have to be better than you. When you're not the only game in town, less people will play with you. I feel sorry for your employees, they have to put up with all the complaints while corporate counts the cash. I'm still waiting for a promised call back, Luckily I have some weed to pass the time. I had a bad reaction the first time I went to Zenleaf. I got confused by their ordering system. After realizing I didn't read the directions I felt I need a makeup review. As a med patient Zenleaf has been great. There is a separate line for med patients and even when the place is full the med patients go first. So even when it's crazy crowded I'm in and out in a few minutes. Also, the prices can't be beat. This is the main reason I go back. There are deals everyday. The one thing that needs changing is the loyalty points system though that is in the process of being changed. So I take one star off for that. The staff has been nice and knowledgeable. Would recommend for medical patients. read more

been a long-time customer (even before when it was medmen). i have supported this business, despite it being further away than a dispensary down the block from my home because one in every 5 visits would result in an excellent budtender that knew the products and could help me choose products that don't aggravate my terpene allergy--despite the fact that zen leaf can't seem to provide terpene data for the 30 or so strains they have for sale at any given time. i was even willing to patronize this monopoly on the north side of chicago/evanston even though they create specials online that are not available online to actually use and when they are able to be seen in the online cart, are often sold-out with no substitute when i show up to pick up my order when they open on any given day. and honestly, i didn't even totally mind the fact that for the first several months after zen leaf expanded its monopoly by buying medmen, their interior looked like a construction zone even though they are selling $50 eights that add up to close to $70 after fees/taxes. i spent a lot of money there. i accrued over $200 in points that i didn't use because i was trying to be cute and "shoot the moon" on my savings. yesterday, i went to pick up my $224 order and they informed me they scrapped the old points system and didn't bother to forward the points accrued to customers registered in the old system. the budtender was new and had no idea how to come correct except suggest i sign up again and start new. not even a "i'll get a manager." just like that i lost $200 in credit! i got a text asking me about my experience that day. i got another text from a customer service agent asking about my experience today. never did i receive notice they were scrapping their old points system. and honestly, what a great way to make the worst month in chicago (february) even worse, than by spoiling your customer's rewards program without coming correct. boo zen leaf. illinois needs to issue more licenses for dispensaries asap. the legal providers of cannabis have a monopoly and all they offer for their mistakes is a corporate script from a faceless agent. do not give this company your business. read more
