The experience here was a little mixed (the product..well, I am not sure what Yelp says about reviewing such substances, so I will hold off.) We showed ID when we entered, before being let it. A really cool, well-informed guy filled us in on products, answered our questions, etc. Didn't get his name though! Its the first all Black owned dispensary! They have a bit of everything here, but we only wanted edibles. We told the guy what we wanted, and he took our ID to scan and placed the order for pickup at the counter. It was a Sunday late afternoon, not many people around. After a few minutes, we went to pay for and pick up our products, and showed ID AGAIN. I have not been to a dispensary for a while, but I don't remember showing ID that many times. Maybe because I ordered from the cashier and not a salesperson? Like with most dispensaries, you have to go OUT a different entrance from coming in. The cashier (manager?) told us we were ok to exit through the Entrance, but we were stopped of course. We tried to explain but were sent back inside. We finally straightened it out. I may just get a login and pre-order and pick up next time.

Upon entering, we were promptly greeted by an employee that was very polite and friendly. He helped us out and even brought me my glove I had dropped. I was able to quickly find what I wanted on their touchscreens. So many great deals! I ended up buying edibles and flower. I was then led to a hallway and into the dispensary room. To your immediate right is the line for medical marijuana. The employee was already waiting for me and was so helpful in explaining the medical marijuana card to me. On my last visit here, in my preorder, I picked two products according to their website description: - Innocent 1:1:1 Dark Chocolate Cherries (which I've purchased many times at GreenGate, and are supposed to be 1:1:1 THC:CBD:CBN. This is important for me as I am trying to have the benefit of THC without the high of THC, and both CBD and CBN reduce THC's "high" feeling and CBN also helps with sleep, which I need. I even discussed with my bud tender how excited I was about the cherries, including discussing the CBN they had) - Sky Walker Live Sugar Wax (which I picked because the strain is excellent for nerve pain, and because it was a wax, I can lack coordination and always pick thicker, more solid concentrates so I'm able to break it apart and use it without spilling or wasting it) But instead of the items the website said I was purchasing, I got THC only cherries, and a Live Resin Sugar which is soupy and impossible for me to use. I even let them know my issue with the wax before I left (as soon as I realized it, which I found out from the bud tender as soon as I paid). The manager was completely unapologetic for the mislabeling and only offered to discount me if I wanted to buy something else (um, no, I'm not rewarding their f-up by giving them more money, thanks). I didn't realize the issue with the Cherries until I got home, wrote them an email and sent pictures and have heard... nothing. Wow. I just spent almost $300 at this place (which is a big order for me and needed to last a while), and tipped the bud tender $20 before I realized I'd been screwed. I now have $93 of product that won't work for my medical needs, and they can't even be bothered to respond. Then saw same website advertise the same product strain with 31% total THC. Ordered that and brought it home before checking THC percentage, which ended up being the same 28.14%. Honestly, it felt like an intentional bait and switch. 2) My husband (also Med) and I have been burned by the caveat on their website that they can't guaranty what a client ordred will be there when that client arrives. Why? That doesn't make any sense to punish everyone for the sake of some flaky clients. Selling and keeping customers happy is how to make money -- which appears to be the only reason they are in this business as it doesn't appear they believe in and/or live up to any ethos or altruistic mission statement of helping people with medical issues initially stated when this industry began in Illinois -- and they can always make their money selling it the next day. Too much work maintaining a website? That website is the bread and butter of your business, WCC! Maintain it properly! So, if you are traveling a great distance, call before beginning your journey because what you ordered may not be there upon your arrival. 3) Illinois Medical is like a bad joke as they don't consistently grow strains that are known for their medical attributes such as Harlequin 1:1 vape, which I could use at work because it gave relief without the high. The growers are all chasing the latest thing with new dumb names instead of maintaining tried and true strains that have their own unique properties 4) This dispensary doesn't have curbside anymore, so you have to go into the building and pull down your mask and deal with people who seem to be demoralized, unhappy employees who don't enjoy people socially and are unable to manage a smile and who no longer do the basic quality control checks to see if the THC level or what you ordered is the same as what was pulled from the back. WCC feels like a McDonald's without the old staples just pushing people through to get the cash without investing in their customer base to create a return customer. 5) What happened to the former employees who had amazing energy and people skills? All of my favorite budtenders are gone since it was bought out by some other company. What is the criteria for hiring people? No older bud tenders? When did that happen? There used to be diversity in age as well as everything else. Maybe have someone older budtenders with medical issues who would be more caring and compassionate to Med patients. I always tip $5. Why, I don't know because this last budtender I dealt with didn't quality check the THC levels. 6) Instead of moving to a building that had better parking and access, someone decided to just expand this location. How about moving to one of the many EMPTY former bank buildings in this area with a preexisting, built-in DRIVE THROUGH instead of expanding in a location that has pushed out the surrounding businesses including a disabled adult day program. Do they care? Would they even know where they are located? They had to visit to formulate the location's expansion plans. Is this place locally owned? No. I'm sure there are other other vacated bank buildings in Homewood. If not, they could have considered the old US Bank building at the corner of Vollmer and Governor's Highway. Question: What does Medical mean to dispensaries in Illinois? Evidently not what it means to the Med patients. I am disappointed by this buyout, expansion, and loss of friendly knowledgeable people who could at least convincing pretend they cared.

He comes back to say no, because they closed their registers earlier than the listed time of closing. All registers were fully broken down by 3:30 pm. They were listed as closing at 8pm when I spent over an hour traveling there. I was in the weather they were closing over. This is Chicago. It snows in Chicago. Dr. Consalter and his office staff are everything you could want if you are considering medicinal cannabis for a qualifying condition like I was. Their staff helped me navigate the VERY confusing online application process for Illinois and helped me submit it from start-to-finish on the same day of my appointment with Dr. Consalter. It is very clear that the doctor respects a patients right to be their own advocate, while also providing the expertise and wealth of knowledge you would want from ANY doctor. Often times a doctor can be great but the office staff is lacking. This is not the case here. All the staff at Dr. Consalters office are kind, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had on the phone prior to my visit and were just as great in person. The office feels more like you're at a home than some sterile hospital-like environment, and they make you feel at home too. If you are reading this review, you have found the right doctor!!!
