For that, I'll be eternally grateful. Due to COVID, the physician was able to see me via a secure audio/video session. The appointment went smoothly. The physician went over the benefits and risks of medical cannabis. I knew all this info already being a current patient, but super helpful for those just starting out! We also discussed CBD and different strains and their effects. The team was incredibly informative and truly dedicated to their patients. Within a few hours, my renewal was accepted by the state and I was printing off my new medical card. If you TRULY have a medical condition, I highly suggest Innovative Wellness. They know the system inside and out and operate like a well oiled machine. Plus, you avoid that recreational cannabis tax as a medical patient. In the past I tried getting a card by searching on google "get illinois medical marijuana card" or something similar and had a horrible experience as such websites are NOT ran by doctors, but rather referral services (middle men). Dr. Consalter and his office staff are everything you could want if you are considering medicinal cannabis for a qualifying condition like I was. Their staff helped me navigate the VERY confusing online application process for Illinois and helped me submit it from start-to-finish on the same day of my appointment with Dr. Consalter. It is very clear that the doctor respects a patients right to be their own advocate, while also providing the expertise and wealth of knowledge you would want from ANY doctor. Often times a doctor can be great but the office staff is lacking. This is not the case here. All the staff at Dr. Consalters office are kind, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had on the phone prior to my visit and were just as great in person. The office feels more like you're at a home than some sterile hospital-like environment, and they make you feel at home too. If you are reading this review, you have found the right doctor!!!

Unfortunately, that seems true everywhere I've gone (other than GreenGate, but now they are a Zen Leaf dispensary like this place, which was MedMen and is now Zen Leaf too). On my last visit here, in my preorder, I picked two products according to their website description: - Innocent 1:1:1 Dark Chocolate Cherries (which I've purchased many times at GreenGate, and are supposed to be 1:1:1 THC:CBD:CBN. This is important for me as I am trying to have the benefit of THC without the high of THC, and both CBD and CBN reduce THC's "high" feeling and CBN also helps with sleep, which I need. I even discussed with my bud tender how excited I was about the cherries, including discussing the CBN they had) - Sky Walker Live Sugar Wax (which I picked because the strain is excellent for nerve pain, and because it was a wax, I can lack coordination and always pick thicker, more solid concentrates so I'm able to break it apart and use it without spilling or wasting it) But instead of the items the website said I was purchasing, I got THC only cherries, and a Live Resin Sugar which is soupy and impossible for me to use. I even let them know my issue with the wax before I left (as soon as I realized it, which I found out from the bud tender as soon as I paid). The manager was completely unapologetic for the mislabeling and only offered to discount me if I wanted to buy something else (um, no, I'm not rewarding their f-up by giving them more money, thanks). I didn't realize the issue with the Cherries until I got home, wrote them an email and sent pictures and have heard... nothing. Wow. I just spent almost $300 at this place (which is a big order for me and needed to last a while), and tipped the bud tender $20 before I realized I'd been screwed. I now have $93 of product that won't work for my medical needs, and they can't even be bothered to respond. So now IDPH has received an email to alert them to multiple mislabeled products at this dispensary. Hoping that will get this place to do a better job, not that I'll ever spend another dime there. F this place! (& I don't feel bad at all saying so)

Out of all the dispensaries I know, Curaleaf has the most frequent and best sales around, along with a huge menu of assorted cannabis products. I love the brands they carry here, especially the Select brand that I don't see too often elsewhere at my go-to locations. They have easy parking out front here, as well. I always recommend looking at the products they have before coming in and booking online so you just come in and pick up your order. This way you can take your time looking at the menu and research the products - or you can ask them in person if you prefer and not book online in advance.
