Cute little store full of CBD related products. I knew I wanted to check this place out, so I did some at home research first about what CBD was good for and came prepared with questions and ailments that could use some relief (i.e. muscle pain, eczema, menstrual cramps). Their stuff does not have THC, so you're NOT going to get high! This place seems pretty popular (especially amongst seniors!) and there was always someone else shopping around while I was in there. There was only one staff person working when I walked in. She was very helpful and gave me a lot of attention after her first customer wrapped up their purchase. The prices seemed reasonable and I was able to take home samples of a couple products I was interested in, so I could try them out before committing to buying larger sizes. I don't think they make any of the products; instead, they have taken a lot of time to vet the products they have on display. Such an amazing experience. I went during the summertime and it was a walk-up type of window experience. Stepped into the store and a desk stopped me from continuing further. Thankfully, I checked out the website and made a list of the things I wanted to buy in store. I was in the area already which is why I didn't do online pick-uo order. One of the store owners was helpful in letting me know info about the products I was choosing. They even helped me choose a tincture that would best fit what I was using the cbd oil for. Picked up some chocolates and tea along the way. Because my experience was so good here, it'd be safe to say I will continue to support their business and rave about them to friends. Was supposed to receive the CBD Relax Gift Box as a gift. What I received was vastly different from what was listed/pictured on the website. The owner was rude and dismissive and simply stated they have the right to substitute products. Body oil was leaky and sticky. Ridiculously overpriced. Covid-19 has been pretty horrible, but when you employ the "glass half full" mentality, there still exists things to be grateful for. Cool things & experiences are even more amplified! Even as bands are lifting across the US, I for one am in no rush to go out to public spaces. And now that in-person experience has been replaced with a virtual reality that is the new norm. I never thought I'd appreciate virtual retail... or live a lifestyle centered around virtual events, activities & entertainment that would be enjoyable. But, awhile back I participated in a Yelp event via Zoom, hosted by Botanica CBD. I honestly had low expectations & "attended" more out of curiosity. Turned out to be a GREAT decision & pleasant surprise! The ladies at Botanica did an amazing job! My non-existant expectations were exceeded! 1 - they were friendly 2 - Super well-informed on product 3 - in essence, it was like having a personal tour of the website and boutique (even with the presence of other "customers"). Typically you don't get that kind of intimate service while shopping. It was almost akin to personal shopping - if you've ever had that kind of luxury experience. 4 - any product offered, they provided excellent descriptions of & in some cases demonstrated use (which many retailers don't offer on their websites) 5 - The boutique, itself, was clean, pristine, uncluttered, product-focused 6 - great product variety. I'm comfortable in saying they have something for everyone (from the highly sophisticated to the hard-core "indulger") 7 - they gave us AMAZING swag (by curbside pick-up) If the retail band has been lifted in Chicago, and you feel comfortable to venture out, do check out Botanica CBD. This is one local business of that I am very happy to support. I think that I was speaking with the owner both times that I've stopped in, but in any case they really know how to run a business. She knew the INS and outs of every product, was very transparent about potential cons or reasons for carrying particular products, and offers samples on some products which, in my opinion and experience, is the best way to help consumers make their minds up and really get to know products. I came in here desperate for Migraine relief but completely new to CBD. The store is gorgeous and nicely curated so I was a little nervous it was going to be pricey. But it wasn't and in fact the lady that helped me recommended a less expensive tincture to start with before I make a commitment. She was extremely knowledgeable, explained the CBD company that she recommended and some of the other ones too. Went home and tried it and had immediate relief from the first dose! I am a chronic sufferer of Crohn's disease and have found cannabis to have some of the best anti-inflammatory properties. I tried CBD in the past was but was not a fan due to buying it at a gas station where the quality was not good. I was driving by one day and was having some abdominal pain one day so I stopped in to try some CBD flower and I fell in love because the products botanica sells is high quality and works wonders.
