As we stepped into the lounge (after a well-deserved break from a boat week crowd in Port Huron), the music cranked up as we started playing pool. It seemed like the music was aimed at the younger folks, and we couldn't hear each other over it. When we ordered our drinks, the bartender initially said she couldn't make a Bloody Mary. That threw me off, so we almost just got water, but she came back and said some one could. When I went to get our drinks, the bartender seemed a bit impatient. (Maybe she was having a tough night.) Check out the bar.. I'd suggest SKIPPING the bowling alley next to it; last time it was broken (poorly maintained) and manager/owner(?) was jerky about his crappy lanes. But bar staff was nice and good location! read more

The Zebra Lounge has an atmosphere that inspires the feeling of nostalgia. Bowl a game, play a few rounds in the claw machine, and have dinner. The service was ok, and the staff was friendly enough. The people giving 1-star reviews need to get a grip and maybe just eat hot pockets at home. read more

This is a Port Huron institution! Just came here for a family night of bowling and really had the best time that I've had in a while when it comes to a bowling alley. Not necessarily a spacious bowling alley, but that doesn't really matter. They have a bar right there by the main desk and they have food available There was a young lad, who was very knowledgeable about the business who helped us and was very nice. Thought be cool try this place . The had a big sign says Lebanese food and pictures. The place has new owners I guess. First of all very dirty in there . The food was Cold and not good at all . $20 for chicken swarma , rice , beef and stale pita bread . They also have generic coke .Only nice thing is sit by the water . The bathrooms were very dirty as well . This is kinda place you sit and drink . My family has been coming to the zebra bar for over 20 years regularly. We have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Since the new owner took over we have tried it twice it took me and my daughter an hour to get food . The service is the worst I have ever seen . We once again tried one last time to come here for Father's Day and took 20 mins just to order our food . The table next to us has been sitting for 50 mins still waiting on their food . Mind you there is only 5 tables with people in them and one table walked out cause no one approached their table . It was very fast service. The burgers were good. We stopped by on a weds and it was weds burger special for under $3. I had the Cajun burger where they add some seasoning. It was good and not overpowered with Cajun flavor. Also went with macaroni cheese balls, which were also very good. They have a nice river view and the location is nice if you come by boat. The legendary Zebra Bar! I ventured in here today and was pleased with the layout of the interior. It was supper time and I was looking for a meal. I ordered the Zebra Burger special with waffle fries. Food was cooked to expectations and I enjoyed a nice view of the river, as I sat at a table near the windows. If you're feeling a little over-calorie, walk thru the corridor to the attached bowling alley next door and bowl a couple games to burn off a few. I recommend. read more

The ladies who front this place need to leave for this place to be worth going to. They glare at you from the moment you walk in. Just get a beer if you want an actual drink or you're going to pay for a splash of liquor. She dropped the lime for my corona on the counter and tried to put it back in the beer. Gross. My family and I were in the area to see a show and were looking for a place to grab a quick drink and bite to eat. We were so happy with our choice. We were warmly greeted when we walked in (by a gentleman who we later learned is the new owner). The updated flooring immediately stood out. It has a new, fresh and clean look. The additions to the menu of freshly made Hummus and Tabbouleh were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the Pizza Sticks, Jalapeno Poppers (made without cream cheese), Potstickers and a Philly Steak sandwich. Our server was so friendly and answered all of our questions with a genuine kindness. Thank you for a wonderful time out. We are already planning our trip back. read more

Barfood on my lunch hour ~ I can always count on something tasty (and a little bit greasy) here. The "Zeb" serves their burgers with the traditional "carousel of condiments". My favorites are the Cajun Cheese Burger, the Olive Burger and the Bacon Swiss Burger. Although there is much more than just burgers here, (fish and chips basket, popcorn chicken, and nachos are other favorites) I seem to wind up having the "carousel" on the table most visits. I'm happy to see that the new owners have kept the menu the same while adding their own updated zebra flair too. I always look forward to lunch here with co-workers. GLAD YOU'RE BACK!! Ah the Zeeb.....been going here since I was a kid, back when Coco owned it. It was closed for a bit, which was probably a good thing, as the service and food had slipped, but new owners about five years ago really brought it back to its core, which is a great burger joint. Speaking of Burgers.....you won't get any better for the price, and it boasts (since Armbruster's closed) the largest condiment selection in the area. Always check the white board/menu coming in: burger day often means $1.94 gets you a 1/2 pound kick but burger deal, usually on Wednesdays. Olive burger rocks, as does the nachos. read more

This is my favorite place for an olive burger and fries. I love sitting by the river for lunch and just being downtown. It's right next to the bowling alley and not far from the Sperry's Moviehouse (which sadly under executive orders is still waiting to open). Also close to shopping downtown. There's pool tables and darts and good food. So why the 3? The staffing. Bar waitresses in Port Huron. Some are nice. Some need to find careers out of the public view. I am a bigger guy and not the most smiley by any means. But I am friendly and usually tip fairly well and treat people with kindness. I don't always feel like my presence is wanted when I come in. Like my being there is a burden, both when I walk in and find my own seat and when I walk up to the bar register and pay with card. Prices are fine and they have good burgers which, along with the location, keep me coming back. But please, pay the wait staff more or find new ones. They are either pretty good or miserable and whiney. read more

I'm honestly so offended. I came out to have a good time and felt totally attacked. It was 12:30 (they close at 2), on a Friday night and the bartender was playing a Adele and essentially crying at the bar. It left me falling asleep and definitely leaving me wanting more.
