First time there on a Saturday afternoon. Not busy, got seated quickly. Order drinks and appetizers. Deep fried pickles were very good. So were the Reuben egg rolls. The food went downhill from there. I ordered the fried perch. I got two and a half, yes, a half, filet of perch. When I questioned it, the waitress said they weigh the fish and two and a half fillets were 4 oz. The fillets were only 2 inches Long! There is no way that two and a half fillets was 4 oz. My husband ordered the ribs, they were dry and chewy. My friend ordered the smashburger which was severely overcooked. Her husband ordered the chicken kabobs. They were the best food we received that day, but the taziki sauce was just tartar sauce. The atmosphere and view are awesome. So maybe consider going there for drinks and appetizers. Seems like the food is hit or miss. Ours was definitely a miss. read more

This place was hopping when my friend and I showed up about 4:30 on a Friday evening. We had to wait probably 10-15 mins before a hostess came to greet us. I know they were busy but someone should at least say hello and we'll be right with you. After they seated the group before us, we were given a table outside fairly quickly and we had a nice view! I ordered the Blackjack Smashburger and it had amazing flavors - pepper jack, cheddar, bacon, and candied jalapenos served on a brioche bun with a side of chipotle mayo. Great location with beautiful view of the river, freighters and boats. Indoor, Bar and outdoor deck seating. Husband ordered Bloody Mary (delicious) and it came with this little glass of something. We had no idea what it was, tasted it, still no idea as it had absolutely no flavor. The guesses of what it could be were very silly and fun. Food was okay nothing to rave about. I got the spinach and artichoke dip to start didn't have much flavor. I liked that it came with pita and chips. Chips were bagged chips nothing special. Ordered the walleye lemon picatta. The lemon picatta sauce was nothing but oil and tasted no lemon at all and drownded with capers: The walleye still had the skin on it and had to scrap the fish out of it. My friend ordered the ribs we asked 3 times if they are fall off the bone they said yes. Ribs were not fall off the bone and the BBQ sauce was super Smokey. We got side salads and it was all mixed greens no romaine or iceberg lettuce in the salad. Location & scenery was amazing. If your looking for a good atmosphere then I'd give it a try and you decide what you think about the food. What a wonderful place to come see some boats and freighters passing by while enjoying a wonderful meal! Great food!! With many options to choose from. Excellent clam chowder soup! This restaurant is always hit or miss. We started with buoy chips (pickle chips ) and spicy cheeseballs. Came out barely warm. Ordered a dirty Shirley they brought a cranberry vodka. Order a cup of clam chowder which was surprisingly good and hot. My dinner was a small Caesar Salad with weirdly enough had chopped red onion and tons of tomatoes on it which is not how a traditional Caesar is made. Felt like the wait for our food was pretty long over 45 minutes for a table of 6. They all ordered sandwiches and fries and all their fries were over seasoned and cold. This is a nice place, it is definitely a locals hang out. You wouldn't expect it to be dressed like fine dining on the inside, and have a very nice bar area on the Riverside. The waitress was kind we got there kind of late there was no attitude, we were only one of six customers that were there. The food came out it was good, the service was great, the menu is rather small but, sometimes it's better to have a small menu that you do well than to have a big menu That's mediocre. We came here on Father's Day and it was a bit crowded but we had reservations. There was a carnival going on in the park across the street so parking was a bit scarce. We got a table on the patio and were able to watch the boats go by. We ordered the whipped feta and Thai cauliflower. The cauliflower was amazing! It was breaded with a Thai chili (not spicy) sauce. I got the in-burrito bowl, which was good but not spectacular. Husband got the Ruben sandwich and loved it! My dad and sister got the shrimp bowl which was on special and they both loved it. I knocked off a star because the service was a little bit slow and they didn't have any good vegetarian options. The only option was to get a burger with a morning star patty (which are not great). Delightful place. Great location. Beautiful view. Came here with a longtime friend and tried 3 of their Christmas cocktails! Bartenders are all very friendly and welcoming. Cocktails are delicious! Their Roast and Toast was my favorite as it had coffee and the marshmallows were roasted! Super yummy! The Almond Joy to the World was creamier, and tastes like am actual Almond joy chocolate. Nice outside deck although lots of bees starting to gather on deck roof. Wait staff did okay job. Food was slightly above average. On the flip side, my wife and I asked when we ordered if the kitchen could swap our potatoes with each other's (her sweet potato fries to me; my baked mini red potatoes to her). We were actually told, "We'd rather not. The kitchen had a really rough weekend.... and we'd have to charge you $1.25." (Bill was already $72 with tip.) Mondays are apparently rest days for the kitchen. I will be accommodating this by dining elsewhere in the future. read more

OMG! First time trying this place and it blew me away! Started off with a spin dip app that was a huge serving. My girlfriend got the ribs that came right off the bone- she said the best she's ever had! I got the coconut chicken salad and it's seriously my new favorite salad. We like going here for the ambiance and the food. Typically I would give this restaurant 4-5 stars, not this trip. My Fish and vegetables were awesome. My to-go slice of Key Lime pie for $6.99 was 100% pathetic and disappointing. The slice was less than 1/2" thick and was smaller than the palm of my hand. They should be embarrassed to serve this. This place is adorable. The restaurant itself seems super clean and the furniture is comfortable. The service was spectacular - Hudson was so kind and attentive and not too overbearing. Kim and her team do a great job in a lovely setting on the river. The shipping channel to Lake Huron is right outside your window or enclosed deck - BONUS! Kim is a great owner & hostess, clearly hands-on, and seems to know all of the regulars by name. She treated us like regulars too, even though we were first-timers. Her daughter the nurse, is also an accomplished bar tender, where they have a very serviceable time list. Once seated, we started out with a really, REALLY good clam chowder - pretty danger authentic! We were torn between our waitress's two favorite suggestions - perch or fish & chips - so decided we'd each order one of them and split the orders. This place is located on the St Clair river and has a has a beautiful view if you can get a seat on the patio. You can't come by boat which is a bummer, but worth the drive if you're not from the area. The view and feel of the place is very nice. With that said, we came on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy, which may have played a part in the super long wait. Even then, it was so long we had to complain and inquire to our food status; took roughly an hour to get our food. If the view wasn't there, it would have been much worse. As for the food, it was just average. Nothing really stood out with mine or any of our guests. Not much of a beer selection. Overall, it's average, but it wins you over with the view. read more
