Supposed to be a Greek chicken wrap. Pregnant me just wanted a good old chicken wrap. Instead got served a gyro to which I don't eat.

we will never be back here again.. cooks and waitstaff are extremely rude. waitress ordered wrong food for my son and I both. cooks and waitress talked about my food with disgust after making wrong dish. When my son was taking his last bite of his meal then they wanted to remake it. At least they offered that. But no longer wanted to eat there after I heard them talk about my food and was mad I didnt want the remake. Waitress offered a lousy I'm sorry with no real meaning behind it and went around the corner to talk more about the food she ordered wrong. After being in the food industry for 20+ years I was extremely disgruntled with how the whole situation was handled. The time before that when we went there, everyone at my table was done eating and I was still waiting for my food.... Explained to the waitress I never got my food to which she in turn tells the cook and he argues with her for 5 min. Literally 5 min before making my food..... This place is EXTREAMLY unprofessional and clearly don't care about their customers. Like. We are 5 feet from the kitchen just around the corner. We can still hear you! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK AND LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW THIS PLACE IS OPERATED! If I could give zero stars I would in a heart beat. Attached is a photo of the "Greek chicken wrap" I ordered

Good cheep food. Service was quick. Only problem I had was the smell of cleaning products. It's nice to know that the restaurant is clean, but to smell sanitizer/fabreeze while eating is unpleasant. I would get take out if I went again.

I have passed by this shiny, 1950's style small restaurant on the main street in Port Huron for years. I never went in - until last Friday afternoon. Ambiance: The inside has black, white and red checkered floors, red tile walls, round red (with shiny flakes) counter stools and a vintage neon-ish clock. Service: the building is small, and the food is cooked in front of you. As soon as I walked in, the cook - David - cheerfully greeted me. Definitely a friendly, high energy guy, enthusiastically representing Detroit! Food: I ordered the striped catfish dinner with fries and coleslaw. The slaw was house-made with purple cabbage. I would have preferred the strips cut into smaller pieces. I could not identify the seasoning, it was ok. Maybe an acquired taste. The crinkle cut fries were also ok, I would have preferred seasoned though - probably frozen? The catfish, was taken out of refrigerator, battered and cooked in front of me. It was delicious! Gold corn meal, seasoning salt, pepper and maybe paprika? The way my late father used to do it! The 2 fillets were a generous size : 8 or so inches. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

I have passed by this restaurant 100+ times and thought they did an excellent job with the renovation. I stopped today for breakfast, and the interior was clean and bright with a 50's diner feel. The food was very good, and the wait staff was happy (rare to find these days) and quick service. Highly recommend to visit and enjoy a meal here.

Too much bread from sliders. I had 6 on the plate and that's all the extra bread I peeled off.

I never knew what that meant until we went in and I read the back of the menu. My wife said people recommended this place on the state park camping fb page. So we finally tried. First off I'm not a big chicken fan but I think I will declare this the best chicken on the bone I have ever eaten. The "Chicken in the Rough" dinner is outstanding. It had a great flavor. I had the Traditional Dinner. It was a half chicken with fries & coleslaw & a dinner roll. I loved it all but didn't try the slaw I'm not a fan of that stuff. She had Chicken Tenders & Waffles with Honey & Pecan syrup on the side. I tried a bite of tenders it was very good but didn't have the same coating as mine so not AS good. I didn't try the Waffles but she said they were good. I would definitely get that Traditional Dinner again. I unfortunately didn't think to take a picture of our meals. Lots of food for both of us. Only downside I'd say is Pepsi products. There is a full bar though, but it was lunch so we resisted. The place says established 1936 it definitely had an old timey feel. I would guess 50's or 60's style but I wasn't around then so I'm just guessing what they were like. As always for Brian if he's still reading mine.... The napkin were two decent dinner napkins wrapped around our silverware, then a stack of cheapo diner napkins like you would have in a chrome dispenser on the table of a greasy spoon diner. I definitely was glad there was a lot of them, they knew I would need them. Don't hesitate to stop in I would recommend it for sure.

When you walk in there is a very comfortable ambiance with very nice decor, updated woodwork, light fixtures and historic pictures/ photos of Port Huron or nautical views. There are many large spacious booths (6 smaller adults could easily fit) and tables as well, which look new but classic diner touches with silver molding/ trim. The staff were very friendly, hospitable and personable giving honest feedback for our choices as 1st time patrons. The coffee was delicious and the mugs had a good feel in the hand. I enjoyed the Country Fried Steak and my over medium eggs were perfectly cooked and delicious on their sourdough toast. Hash browns were buttery and had nice crisp to them. My friend had the Country Benedict and also enjoyed her meal very much. While the country gravy had ample bits of sausage and was plentifully served, it was a tad too thick for me personally; though our server said it was one of their best dishes. There was parking in the street in front the morning we went, not sure of additional parking options. The entrance is on the corner with 2 doors to get in, the door we used had a small step up and I believe the 2nd door may be more accessible for people with mobility challenges. Inside was spacious and his/ hers 1 seater restrooms that could accommodate mobility equipment (wheelchairs or walkers). Pricing was 2/4 $$, and appropriate for the high quality homemade meals you'll enjoy. We were even able to get coffee to go and enjoyed during our drive home to Dearborn! I highly recommend Maria's for a great experience and will definitely be back!

I was pleasantly surprised that the Poe theme is clever and subtle rather than overly cheesy. The décor has more of an antique bookstore feel, with fun Poe inspired names throughout the menu. Despite the theme, there's nothing dark or dreary about this place. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was prompt. Our waiter was friendly and had some great recommendations. The soup sampler was easily the highlight for me. I've never seen anything like it before! I tried the baja chicken enchilada, mushroom with brie cheese, beef chili with beans, and the special of the month potato curry. I ranked them from favorite to least favorite, but honestly, everything was delicious in its own way. My drink and sandwich with a side of potato salad was very tasty! I finished the whole thing! If you're a Poe fan, the witty menu names will definitely make you smile. The food is good, portions are satisfying, and the prices are reasonable. I'd absolutely come back if I'm ever in the area again to try more of the menu.
