I (regretfully) did not end up moving forward with them on this project, but wanted to write a review because I was so thoroughly impressed with my interactions with Doron. Doron was the first contractor that I spoke with about my project, and was by far the best experience that I had. He took the time to really look at my space, listened to my needs and specific requests, and gave great suggestions on how I could improve it. After taking measurements he sat down with me for over an hour patiently answering all of my questions. This was my first time considering a major remodel and he was great at anticipating where I would need guidance. He also showed me various completed projects in his portfolio and I was so impressed with the quality of his work. I could tell that he really takes pride in his team and his craftsmanship. Doron was able to provide me with an initial quote on the same day as our consultation. I ended up with further questions and changes, and he graciously set up a zoom call with me to address them the following day. Out of all the contractors that I spoke with, Doron stuck out for being the most passionate about his work and also the most detail oriented. I really appreciated his honesty with me about what I could reasonably expect. As this was my first project, I didn't have a good idea on what to expect regarding costs. I didn't end up moving forward with Method Remodeling because of my budget, but would love to work with them in the future when I am better established.

From start to finish, the experience was smooth and stress-free. Daniel was the perfect project manager--he guided us with design ideas, helped us select the right materials, and kept everything on schedule. Daniel was straightforward, answered our questions clearly, and didn't try to oversell anything, which we really appreciated. The work itself went smoothly. The crew showed up on time, stayed organized, and kept things moving without a lot of back and forth. Communication was solid throughout the project, and any questions we had were handled quickly. The final result came out exactly as expected, and the pricing stayed in line with what was discussed upfront. No surprises, which matters a lot with this type of work. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Winsol Construction. We would absolutely consider using them again in the future.

We met with a few different contractors for quotes, some offered slightly cheaper pricing but after speaking with them, we knew Marlon and his team were the right choice. When you're having a project done in your home, trust is everything, and we trust them 100%. Even during heavy rain, they were able to keep working by setting up a tarp tent over the work area, which kept things clean and minimized disruption to our neighbors. This time, we had our whole house painted, our entrance door replaced, and our porch tiled. Once again, they delivered excellent results. Our new entrance door looks beautiful, and the paint job is phenomenal. I feel like we have a brand-new home. We will definitely hire them again for future renovations, no doubt! They are fast, meticulous, and truly trustworthy.

Clearly it was going to be a very large - and, of course, completely unexpected - project. We felt a ton of pressure to find the right balance of cheap, fast, and - most importantly, this being a major structural wall of our home - good. Given how critical and involved the job was, we needed to have confidence every step of the way. From the get-go, Marlon provided that. From the initial estimate, it was clear that J O Builder doesn't cut corners and wants to do the job right. Where some of the other contractors proposed patchwork solutions that would likely have resulted in having the same problem again in five or ten years. Ignacio from J O estimated a more comprehensive job that would avoid that. J O isn't just interested in securing a job but rather taking care of your home as well as if it were their own. Marlon, Ozny, Daniel, and the rest of the team were always incredibly responsive and understood our concerns immediately. They were able to talk us through any concerns we had throughout the job and proactively gave us a heads up on what was coming next so we were never surprised by anything. When the job was finished, our wall was in better shape than ever, with better insulation and a clean facade inside and out, as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile we know it's built well and will last a long time, and we had confidence at every step of the way. We'll be reaching out to Marlon again for all our future jobs. If you want your job done right, I strongly recommend that you do too.

Mike is the best general contractor I have ever worked with, by far, and his team and…read moresubcontractors were all excellent. Mike did a total facelift of our home in Menlo Park two years ago, which included new windows and doors, replacing wood shingle siding with stucco, new stonework, new roof, down-to-the-studs remodel and soundproofing the Master Bedroom, front yard landscaping, etc, and we are very happy with the result. It feels like a new home, done the way we want it. The pros of working with Mike: 1) he stays on schedule. My experience with other contractors has been that they are not good at project management, miss their timelines and charge considerably more than their estimates. This doesn't happen with Mike. 2) highest quality materials and work, done with attention to detail. In many cases, I felt like Mike was correcting mistakes made in the original construction (such as reframing the master bedroom ceiling). 3) he had ideas for the project that we didn't have but made the project better (such as converting our garage to one large door instead of two small doors, finishing the eaves, using wood paneling on the ceilings of the front and rear porches, etc). 4) he was very quick to respond and solve problems, often within minutes. 5) he stays on cost. There were no surprises in the bills. The only time things costed more was when we decided to expand the scope of the project, which we did on several occasions. The cons of working with Mike: 1) I think he is more expensive than the average contractor. For us, it was well worth the cost to stay on schedule and have such high quality, beautiful work done on our home. Also, but not unique to Mike, don't underestimate how disruptive it is to remodel. It was hard on our family, but now we have a beautiful new home to live in, and I thank Mike and his crew and all the subcontractors for that.

You will get impressed and choose to hire him if you have him onsite to know how patient and professional he is. For my project, initially I thought is related to breaker. He checked each single outlet that is affected. Mess it is (due to our earlier general contractor who wires four hot wires from a single outlet!!), Biar was able to identify the problem (bad connection before aluminum and copper wires) and fix it. A nontrivial issue was later identified related to our disposal wires, and Biar self proposed to get into our crawlspace to try finding the root cause. Unfortunately no issues there, and it may be caused by unstable connections inside the wall. No time for this work today, but I am setting a follow up job with him the coming week! The project took him much longer than expected, and he even skipped his lunch time to get the project done. The price is quite reasonable. I am super happy with his work, and look forward to getting the disposal fixed next week.
